In The Holy Land: Land For Peace Has Always Been A Con Job

In 1948 the United Nations recreated the State of Israel that was just a small sliver of its former God-given borders. The Jewish people had to fight for every inch of that ground as the people living there did not wish to be removed from the land and I don’t believe that they can be blamed for that. If the United States government decided to  give the state of New Mexico back to the native population I am rather sure that the people currently living there would fight to keep from being removed, wouldn’t you? In the 7th century A.D. when the creation of Islam occurred the land of the Middle-East was dominated by the Jewish and Christian people and their religions. The military forces of Islamic believing people took these people’s land and their lives taking all of their possessions as spoils of war. The people of Islam held this land until 1948 then they were removed by force. The Jewish/Hebrew people had possessed this land for about 2,100 years before losing it to the Arab/Islamic people and these people and their faith have ruled the Middle-East for about 1,400 years now.  It is easy to see why all the people of ‘The Holy Land’ claim the land as their own.

The first paragraph was a 200 word attempt at encapsulating about 3,500 years of human history of ‘The Holy Lands’. There is no way to give the people and the land a totally fair shake in this one short article but I am going to do my best to be honest and fair in what I write. The reason I side with Israel on the land issue is because I am a Christian who happens to believe that the Bible is the Holy Spirit inspired word of God, all of it. When Moses led the Hebrew people up out of Egypt in about the year 1,500 B.C. He (God) specified to Moses and his successor Joshua exactly what Israels boundaries were to be.  The Israel of 1948 and indeed the Israel of 1967 and the Israel of 2018 are only a sliver of the God-given boundaries of what is supposed to be the nation of Israel.

In 1967 the Arab nations around Israel attacked the people of Israel from every direction in an attempt to remove Israel from the map but they failed completely. The 1967 war was called the 6 day war because Israel dominated their attackers and in the process Israel more than doubled their size via the land they captured from their neighbors during those 6 days. This is the land that the idiots at the U.N. and some in D.C. still refer to as “occupied land.” In 1972 Israel gave the whole Sinai back to Egypt when they signed a peace deal with their President Anwar Sadat from an agreement with President Carter of the U.S. which was called the Camp David Accord. This peace accord cost President Sadat his life at the hands of his own military. Twelve years ago Israel gave up land for peace when they gave up the Gaza Strip and The West Bank to the PLO and their leader President Arafat and his Fatah military wing. I stated at that time that the Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon had made a horrible mistake in giving away what God himself had given and I was proven totally correct on this issue. About 4 months after this land give away Mr. Sharon suffered a massive stroke that he never woke up from, laying in a coma for almost exactly 8 years before he died in January of 2014.

I know that I am not the only person who knew that once the people who were now called ‘the Palestinians’ would only use this land they were given to stage more attacks on the people of Israel from a now closer range. Here in America when we elected our first Islamic Shiite President in Mr. Obama on his first official visit to Israel he without consulting the government or the people declared that Israel was going to revert back to the pre 1967 borders, as though he was some kind of King of the world. Mr. Obama has been mad at the leaders of Israel ever since they said no to his ‘decree’. Think about this issue for a moment, in 1967 prior to the Arab nations attack these same Arab nations and people were trying to end Israel as a nation. They did not and do not want there to be such a thing as a nation of Israel. If this current government of Israel did as King Obama wanted there is no reason to believe that the people who believe that Allah is God would do anything other than continue to attack the Jewish nation in an attempt to do as they tried to do in 1967. When it comes to land for peace, and treaties with Islamic believers there is no such thing as creating peace with them by giving them more of your land. This illusion of peace has never been true since the days that Muhammad walked the Earth, it is not true today and it will never ever be true.

UAE says Iran wasted no time in undermining regional security

The United Arab Emirates said on Saturday Iran had wasted no time in undermining regional security since it sealed a nuclear deal with world powers last year.

“Against all optimistic expectations, Iran wasted no time in continuing its efforts to undermine the security of the region, through aggressive rhetoric, blatant interference, producing and arming militias, developing its ballistic missile program, in addition to its alarming designation as a state sponsor of terrorism,” UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed told the annual U.N. gathering of world leaders.

China, U.N., Plans to End Poverty World Wide By 2030

China’s blueprint to end poverty

CHINA’S national plan for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was released at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Monday when Premier Li Keqiang chaired a roundtable on sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The plan consists of five parts, including China’s achievements and experience in implementing the Millennium Development Goals, and the challenges and opportunities, guiding principles, roadmap and detailed plans of implementing SDGs.

As the first national plan that specifies various domains and goal-oriented concrete measures, the plan expounds China’s development policy and its efforts to help other developing countries implement the goals.

The 2030 Agenda, endorsed and launched at the UN Summit for Sustainable Development last year, is a blueprint for eradicating poverty across the world in the years leading up to 2030.

Implementation of the agenda, including its 17 SDGs and 169 targets, is high on the agenda of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, which opened last week.

Leaders attending the G20 summit, in east China’s Hangzhou earlier this month, also pledged to actively implement the 2030 Agenda.

Pursuing sustainable development is the fundamental solution to all kinds of global problems, said Li, adding that accelerating implementation of the agenda is of great significance for now and in the long-term amid a weak global economic recovery and increasing difficulties and risks.

While deeming eradicating poverty and hunger as the top priority, he called for more efforts to promote robust, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth.

In the past 15 years, China had made remarkable achievements in poverty reduction, health service and education, he said.

Over the period, China had lifted over 400 million people out of poverty, reducing the mortality of children under 5 by two-thirds and that of pregnant women by three-quarters.

As a responsible developing country, China is willing to participate in relevant international cooperation, continuously increase investment in South-South cooperation, and share development experience and opportunities, Li said.

In order to support a bigger UN role in the implementation of the agenda, China is pledging an additional US$100 million in annual aid to UN development agencies by 2020 on top of the amount in 2015, Li said.

He also announced that China’s donation to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria will reach US$18 million in the next three years.

The round table, hosted by the Chinese government, was attended by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, UN General Assembly President Peter Thomson and the heads of 16 international organizations.

They highlighted the important role China has played in carrying forward the 2030 Agenda within the G20 framework.

The international organizations present at the round table expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation with China, popularize China’s development experience, and jointly address challenges so as to push forward the sustainable development of China and the rest of the world.

Has President Erdogan Of Turkey Gotten His People Into A War With Everyone?

This past Wednesday a car bomb went off in the Capital of Turkey that was directed toward a passing bus of military personnel.  The death toll last I heard was at 28. On Thursday their President Mr. Erdogan was warning President Putin that (he) Turkey would hold Russia responsible for any acts of terrorism within Turkeys borders. On Friday a splinter group of a Kurdish fighting force claimed ‘credit’ for those people’s deaths. It seems that there are several different Kurdish fighting forces of which it seems President Erdogan is at war with all of them even though about 20% of the Turkish population are Kurdish. Today the Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu called on the U.S. for unconditional support against the Kurd’s in Turkey’s fight against terrorism. Both Turkey and the U.S. are members of NATO yet the reality is that the Kurdish people have endured heavy losses in their fight against ISIS even though Turkey and Russia have bombed their fighters. So, now a Kurdish group has unfortunately enraged at least 28 families in Turkey. Whom is it in the region that President Erdogan hasn’t ticked off? Syria, Iran, and Russia are at war with Turkey, ISIS, the Kurd’s and Shiite Islam, did I miss anyone? Sometimes it seems that President Erdogan is simply jealous of Russia’s President Putin and wants to get into a shoe-size measuring contest. Dictators, Kong size ego’s, and religion based murders can make a whole region go boom, big time. Why have war when we could all have peace, or, is it why have peace when you can have war? It is just my outside view looking in and I can only go by what I see and hear on the different news programs but it does seem that President Erdogan through his aggression policies are in the process of tearing the beautiful country of Turkey apart at her seams.
