Philosophy Poem: Age

AGE

It is said that age is counted by years and the wear on the body

With age comes physical infirmities as the body breaks down

Our legs and our behinds become unwilling to accept adventure

Declining strength and deterioration become everyday realities

Yet it is our Minds and our Soul that determines quality of life

Within the gray hair of mankind lies the wisdom of the world

Maturity and Spiritual beauty are the waters that wash the Soul

The fruitfulness that age produces is fair judgement and patience

Strong Faith is the Pillar on which all strong Souls do flourish

When gray hairs lie upon us it is our Wisdom by which we’re known

Respect and honor those of gray hair for to disrespect is insolence

If we choose to not honor our Elders we are a fool dancing in the fire

Gray hair follows wisdom and the love and fear of the Great Creator

When our physical body has retired the eyes of the Soul still sees

If we walk after the Heart and Spirit of Jesus Christ we will never die

Bill Nye Is Only Half Insane

Bill Nye Is Only Half Insane

This title is obviously just my opinion of Mr Nye, I do not know the man and I have never met him. My opinion is simply formed by articles I have read on the net where his opinions were down in print. Do I believe that I am smarter than Mr Nye, no I don’t. But in some areas of science and faith (which he seems to have none at all) I know for a fact that I am wiser than he is. I do not blame him or anyone else really for their distorted views on the earths and our creation. The reason for that is simple, I do not personally know of any Christian or Jewish faith that seems to understand the beginning of the first book of the Bible (Genesis). I believe that it was the Apostle Paul who wrote that all people should study (the Scriptures) daily so that we can be a workman that need not be ashamed for our lack of knowledge. As it is also written that when a person is preaching/teaching you that the Scriptures say we should all read/check to see if the things we are being taught it correct or not. Do we ever question our Church leaders about what we hear from the pulpit? How many Christians never or almost never go to Church services or if we do, how many follow the Preachers message in the Bible as he/she is talking? How many people who say we are Christians do not even own one single Bible? If we do own one at home do we even know where we stored it? How many folks could gag from the dust accumulated on its cover?

In a recent National Geographic News article Mr Nye was quoted as saying that “evolution is undeniable and creationism is insane”. I respect the man’s position because it is given through a total lack of knowledge of what the Scriptures say. I had this same conversation with Carl Sagen back in 1991 in person when we met in Madison Wisconsin after a speech he gave there. In the discussion he asked me how someone who is as studied (in Scripture) as I am could possibly believe that there is a God that created all things. I asked him how someone who is so knowledgeable and so intelligent could possibly not believe in a Supreme Being (God). If we could only get the churches and the synagogues to open their eyes to the words they read so blindly then maybe, maybe there would be a “coming to Jesus (God) moment” when our eyes begin to see and understand what is there and what isn’t said. There is so much information in the first two chapters of the book of Genesis, it covers several billion human years, NOT just seven human days. The seven human day theory is as Mr Nye says “insane”. Another term would also be “just plain ignorant”. Now saying that someone is ignorant of something by no means is a slap at the person, ignorant just simply means lacking knowledge of a certain event.

By faith I am a devout fundamentalist Christian yet I totally believe that our universe and this planet began with the big bang that science believes that it did. I also do believe in evolution, to a certain point. What I do mean by evolution is in the evolving of the human race. Evolving such as the phasing out of one group of humans as they assimilate into another culture such as in how the Neanderthals bred into a slightly more evolved group of humans thus phasing out their race. Breeding a race out of existence is nothing new to humans it has been going on for a long long time. An example would be like the American government back in the late 1800’s when political and military opinion was to wipe out the Native Indian people’s. You kill all the males and then bred with the females. In just a very few generations of mixing blood the American Indian people would have only been in a few history books. Some evolution cycles throughout history have been forced but most were of nature weeding out the sick and the stupid.

One of the first things that people need to do when we seek knowledge that is given through the Scriptures is to pray first before we study and that (studying) needs to be a daily part of our lives just like setting aside a few moments a day for prayer should be an automatic for us. When we read Scripture we need to do it with an open mind, not a mindset of trying to prove a “Church doctrine” to be the Truth. If people pay attention to the words written down in the first two chapters of the Bible you should notice very plainly that there are two “human” creations. This understanding of this fact is very helpful in understanding that the seven human days of creation are not at all correct. God most of the time speaks what He wishes done, then puts the building blocks into place to then form His wishes into existence.

Time is the issue here in the argument that Mr Nye puts forth in his argument about creationism and he is correct on that issue. People need to understand time differences, they exist all around us but we humans choose to not understand. Look at the other planets that revolve around our Sun, check out each planets length of a day, they all differ from each other. Look at different living creatures on our own planet, dogs, cats, starfish, seahorses, the list is very long, look how long their life cycles are. To these other creatures of God’s hands, do you think a dog realizes that his ratio is different from ours? Why can’t we humans realize that our time is different from Gods time even when the Scriptures tell us pointedly of this fact? Until people who believe that the Bible is the Word of God and starts reading/studying it with an open mind, not one that is predetermined by a Church Doctrine our eyes will never be opened to the understanding of what God is telling all of us. Until we do this as a Nation and as a World People then there will always be this ignorant discussion like the one Mr Nye uses when he shows us all his lack of knowledge concerning God, God’s Word, and Time it’s self. But to his defense he is in an argument with people who are lacking the understanding of the very issue they are using to make their argument with in the first place!

Folks: Evolution’s Missing Link Is; I’ll Explain

Folks: Evolution’s Missing Link Is; I’ll Explain

Evolution, do you believe in it, no, I do. I am a fundamentalist christian, so how can I believe in such a thing as evolution you might ask. My answer is simple, I believe in what the Bible says, what it shows us, and what so few seem to see’s. Look at the beginning of the first book, Genesis. Have you noticed the two creations, the one where man was created on the sixth day, both men and women created He (God) them? Have you noticed in the next chapter that after the Seventh day and God rested, then God created Adam and then Eve? It wasn’t until then that God made them a “living soul”. He didn’t do that with the people He created on the sixth day. Do you see there were two people’s, the Gentiles and the Royal Bloodline were created? The people that were not of the Royal Bloodline Jesus himself referred to us as “people who before this time were not a people” and Jesus also referred to us Gentiles as “dogs”.

Time, seven days, only a dummy could believe it (Scripture) is referring to man kinds literal days. Within Scripture in many places time is referred to and states that our time and God’s time “day’s” are not our day’s so why do we keep trying to make those seven days of God’s days be our days? I do not know exactly what one of God’s days are, these first six days may well have simply been six visitations from God to the overseeing of His “footstool”. When you are speaking in terms of eternity, what matter does a day possess? This “time” that we don’t grasp could be almost any amount of  time. I do believe in a lot of what science has learned but in some things they are looking for things that don’t or never existed, like the ‘Missing Links’.

There have been huge animals on this planet for millions of years yet only in about the past 150 years have we started to learn from their bones that we humans have been uncovering. Human type people have been on this planet for probably at least a few hundred thousand years, minimum. But, Adam and Eve were a little less than six thousand years ago! We gentiles have evolved, but not from monkey’s and they did not crawl out of the oceans. Science has shown that humans have evolved a lot through time and just as the Neanderthals were bred out of existence through evolution in the breeding with other early humans, “Gentiles”, we have evolved, evolution. What science will never find is their “Missing Link”, because there are several links between the gorillas and the earliest humans. But, evolution just like extension are scientific fact and where science and Scripture seem to disagree is mostly because we humans do not seem to be able to understand what the Scriptures are actually telling us.

If Christian and  Jewish people of faith would quit being blind to what God is so plainly showing us in His word, maybe we would realize that science is not our enemy and maybe the scientist would come to realize that the Word of God is a guide post for them. There are a lot of people who have never taken the Bible seriously because of Christians and Jewish people not understanding what it says themselves. We all need to come together without the hate and with open ears and eyes, we can all learn things from each other. I pray that God will continue to bless us all and cure us of our own blindness and ignorance.

Big Troubles Are Coming, What Are You Going To Do?

BIG TROUBLES ARE COMING, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

There are many things that have happened that are horrible, but even worse things are soon to come upon the human race. The secular world does not know, they do not see, because they do not study, because they do not believe the things that are about to come upon all of us. Ignorance to reality will not save any of us from that reality, I wish it would, but it won’t. Here in America, a Nation that was founded on Christian beliefs has turned its back on anything and everything to do with the Bible, faith, and Jesus and then we wonder why our Nation and the world has turned so violent and hate filled. Hollywood and the media teach society that they are the path to follow, that total ego is the true path to follow if we want a life of happiness. Hollywood and the media push violence, cursing, and filth at everyone from birth to the grave and call it good and call it progress. Hollywood and the liberal left now insist that women not having the ‘right’ to murder their babies is stone age thinking and they say the far right is trying to take away this “right”. If a person was to believe Christian or Jewish Scripture then they would understand that our excepted society is evil, this is why they constantly have to attack these faiths trying to demonize them. You see these faith-based religions teach that what our society is teaching is evil, this is why they attack all that is Scripturally sound Doctrine otherwise they would have to admit that they are the ones that are pure evil.

About a month ago in this blog I wrote of some bad things that have happened, things past tense that were secret evils. By no means am I saying that I know everything, nor that I have been shown everything, nor that I understand everything past or future, I can only tell you the things that I have been shown and the things that I believe. All I can do is bring them to your attention, believe whatever you wish; I’m just trying to be helpful. I am going to tell you things that I know are going to happen to America in the very near future and something’s that are America and world related that are soon to happen most within this next generation. I would like to say “may God have mercy upon all of us”, but that would be misleading if we don’t even know what God means by mercy. People, friends, brothers, sisters, the world has never seen the level of Hell that is coming to the face of this planet.

Now I will start to tell you of the things that are soon to come here in America then I will expand to some more global issues.–The mark of the Devil and the sign of the Antichrist ARE NOT the same thing! When I was growing up in a Christian believing household I was always led to believe that there was simply one “Devil”, well, there is only one Satan but also thousands of other former Angels turned Demons. Demons can only possess one person at a time unlike the Spirit of God who can possess billions at one time. So, these Demons, who do you think would be their prime targets to possess? Would the prime targets be the average office worker or factory worker, or politicians and world leaders?  Which leaders would be the most prime targets? All leaders would be targets but the most prime ones would obviously be the leaders with the most power, of the countries with the most power. Where do you think our leaders would place on the Demons want list? People, the governments are evil and they are only going to get worse!

As any American knows if they are paying any attention to life around them we are having trouble securing our borders and we are having trouble securing our money supply from fraud. Also identity theft is becoming more and more of a problem in our society. At every level our society and it’s so called securities are breaking down. As we all know, the governments are becoming all-powerful and it is only through their great wisdom that we the people can be “saved”. We become totally dependent upon our leaders, we must all do what they say or we become the enemy of our nation. The government must come up with a program that can secure the nation’s borders for our own security. The government’s money supply and the finances of our people must be secured so that everyone’s savings and property isn’t stolen by the bad guys. But, how can such a thing be done?–Revelation 13:16 and 17, “And He (the beast) caused everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their forehead: So that no man could buy or sell, unless he had the mark,…”.  Also Revelation 14: 9-11, “…if any man worships the Beast and His image, and receives his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wrath of the wine of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation: and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the Holy Angels, and in the presence of the Lamb (Jesus): And the smoke of their torment will ascend up forever and ever: and they shall have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name”. Friends, this is just a small piece of the trouble that is already busting through our doors, we all need to think about what we are doing and what we are going to do.

I’ll just put a couple of questions out to you, all I ask is that people just quietly think about them in the quite of their own thoughts . These are what if questions, what if I am correct about what I have told you. I know these things by faith, prayer, study, and a lifetime of observation.  What if our federal government decides that they have no choice but to implement a chip policy? Chip systems have been in place now for a long time, a different type of chip, but you ease in controversial changes to get people to learn to conform to their “necessary requirements”. We started out with putting chips in our animals so we wouldn’t lose them, then came added information like health records. Well, before you say that’s just about animals, there has been a program now for several years putting chips in newborns for the same type reasons as the animals. O’ by the way, preschool and grade school children by parental requests have been getting these for the same type reasons, getting lost, stolen, medical info ect.

Now, about us adults, we all have to decide what we are going to do when these chips are required instead of the current permission/request policy. Everyone in this country is a number from birth, that makes things easy enough. We are all going to have to decide in our own minds what we are going to do if/when this happens. Millions will go along with it without thought; it will sound like a great idea. These are the people who are usually ignorant of the Scriptures and who usually have no religion/faith in their up bringing. Many people, even those who say they are Christian will not like it, but they will conform. The reasons for this are simple, if there is no cash system, then no plastic, only the chip in your wrist/hand (during the Roman Empire and the time of the first advent the wrist was considered to be part of the hand) and all financial information is loaded onto your chip, and without the chip you have no financial means to survive, what you going to do?

When you cannot work, buy, sell, or rent a place to live, not even a skid row flee bag motel; when you cannot buy gas or food and you are going to lose absolutely everything you thought you owned, what are you going to do? When you find yourself out in the street with no shelter or food and no way to get any, are you going to allow the chip? Remember how the government in the late 1800’s stole everything the Indian people owned, then those they hadn’t already killed they forced onto reservations? How many times once the people were rounded up and disarmed did the military get sent in to scorch the earth of them? History lessons make perfect examples of evil and how too! The only people who absolutely refuse to be chipped will be the true faithful of the Christian population and some of our Jewish brothers. These people will become enemy number one of the state who will get blamed for all the worlds problems. Remember Germany/Hitler/WWII, how did this evil empire almost accomplish its goal of killing every Jewish person on earth? The slogan after the war was “never again”, people, that was only a blueprint to grow from when you have evil running your countries.

Whatever we put first in our life IS our God, how about our money, is that our God? These things are coming; they are not that far away. Again, I ask you the question, friends, what are you going to do?

The Skeptical State of Bible Reading in 2017

(THIS ARTICLE IS COURTESY OF ‘CHRISTIANITY TODAY’ NEWS)

The Skeptical State of Bible Reading in 2017

Two surveys examine who studies Scripture, who doesn’t, and why.

For the most part, Americans have positive things to say about the Bible. More than half call it a good source of morals (52%). About a third say it’s helpful (37%), true (36%), and life-changing (35%), according to a new LifeWay Research survey.

Even more told the American Bible Society (ABS) and Barna Group that they believe it’s the actual or inspired word of God (81%).

But a growing segment— 19 percent in 2017, up from 10 percent in 2011—say it’s simply a book of teachings and stories written by men.

That group has remained fairly stable in recent years (17% in 2013, 19% in 2014, 21% in 2015, and 22% in 2016). So this year for their State of the Bible report, ABS and Barna asked the people in that category a new question: If you think the Bible was written only by humans, do you think it was meant to be manipulative or controlling?

Almost 4 out of 5 skeptics said yes, which adds up to 13 percent of the US population. (A similar number of Americans told LifeWay that the Bible was bigoted (8%) or harmful (7%).)

ABS and Barna labeled them antagonistics. They used the same tag in 2013 for the entire group of skeptics, but then reconsidered.

“‘Antagonistic’ may too strongly pigeon-hole those who have not yet embraced the Bible,” Geoffrey Morin, ABS chief communications officer, told CT then. “The new categorization, ‘Bible Skeptics,’ is both more accurate and more hopeful.”

But this year, the survey broke the group in two, and found a marked difference between the resulting 32 percent that remained “skeptics”—those who believe the Bible was not divinely inspired, but neither was it written with the intent to manipulate—and the 68 percent that qualify as “antagonistics.”

Researchers summarized the two groups: “Antagonistics’ average age is 41. He is more likely to be an unmarried male from the Gen-X or Millennial generation. Antagonistics are largely non-Christian, do not attend church, and a small 5 percent report reading the Bible at least three to four times a year.”

Skeptics are slightly older—on average, 43 years old. “More college graduates fall into this category than any other category. … [T]hey are largely single and not Christian, and most are unchurched.”

Antagonists are more likely than skeptics to be white (68% vs. 56%) or Hispanic (18% vs. 13%). They’re less likely than skeptics to make under $50,000 a year (39% vs. 47%) and more likely to make over $100,000 a year (27% vs. 14%).

They’re notably less open to the Bible—91 percent of antagonists have no desire to read the Bible more, compared to 74 percent of skeptics. They’re more likely (53%) than skeptics (37%) to say that none of the traditional sacred texts—the Bible, the Qu‘ran, the Torah, or the Book of Mormon—are holy.

Nearly three-quarters of antagonists believe the Bible has too much influence on US society (72%), compared to less than half of skeptics (42%).

Fewer antagonistic adults believe the Bible is important for the country’s moral fabric (9%, compared to 30% of skeptics), while nearly all (91%, compared to 70% of skeptics) believe the Constitution is morally important.

They also don’t care about being labeled immoral: only 21 percent are bothered, compared to 41 percent of skeptics and 36 percent of the Bible-engaged or Bible-friendly.

However, “being called ‘intolerant’ is particularly bothersome to antagonistics,” the ABS study reported. A quarter would find that offensive, compared with 4 percent of skeptics or the Bible-engaged.

Skeptics report that they wouldn’t care if they were called either intolerant or immoral (40%, compared to 30% of antagonists and 23% of the Bible-engaged).

More antagonists (63%) than skeptics (59%) told Barna that morality is on the decline, though they’re far less likely to believe that than the Bible-engaged (95%). And they’re more likely to blame it on corporate greed (71%, v. 52% of skeptics and 18% of the Bible-engaged) than on a lack of Bible reading (2%, vs. 6% of skeptics and 53% of the Bible-engaged) or a negative influence from movies, television, and music (27%, vs. 42% of skeptics and 29% of the Bible-engaged).

Despite their antipathy, you can find a Bible in most antagonist (62%) and skeptic (67%) homes; in fact, half of them own more than one. Antagonists and skeptics equally report being at least somewhat knowledgeable about the Bible (61%), and they are. More than 3 in 10 knew that Jesus was betrayed by Peter (36% of antagonists vs. 30% of skeptics); even more knew Mary Magdalene was the first to see Jesus after his resurrection (44% of antagonists vs. 38% of skeptics).

And most said the Bible encourages serving the poor (86% of antagonists, 79% of skeptics), patience (83% of antagonists, 78% of skeptics), and generosity (85% of antagonists, 96% of skeptics).

About 3 in 4 Bible skeptics said the Bible had no influence on their views on abortion, Israel, LGBT issues, refugees, money, immigration, and war. More than 9 in 10 antagonists said the same.

Antagonists are more likely to say that the Bible has exacerbated racial tension (79% vs. 70%) and gender inequality (93% vs. 83%) over the years. They’re also far more likely to say that the Bible oppresses the LGBT community (58%, compared to 22% of skeptics), women (43% vs. 14%), and different races (29% vs. 12%.)

Bible antagonists are more likely to describe a daily Bible reader as judgmental (39%, compared to 19% of skeptics), narrow-minded (38% vs. 21%), or foolish (23% vs. 6%).

Antagonistic adults are significantly more likely than any other group to report experiencing or witnessing trauma (9%), and most of them experienced that trauma personally (50%).

ABS noted that the rising trend of Biblical skeptics seems to be leveling off, but that it was “too early to say the decrease in Bible skepticism is a trend.”

“We are optimistic,” stated Morin, now ABS executive vice president of ministry mobilization. “[We] will continue tracking the data in the coming years to measure how the number of people who are skeptic[al] toward the Bible changes.”

The percent of those who are Bible-engaged—believe the Bible is the actual or inspired word of God and read it at least four times a week—has remained steady at around 20 percent of the population for the past seven years.

The translation they engage with most is the King James Version at 31 percent, though it’s down from 40 percent in 2016. The New King James Version also dropped slightly, from 12 percent to 7 percent, while the New International Version (11% to 13%), English Standard Version (5% to 9%), and Amplified Bible (1% to 7%) all saw increases in use.

Those who read the Bible were more likely to say that it brought them close to God (68% vs. 57% in 2016) and less likely to say that they sought directions or answers for problems (9% vs. 17% in 2016).

Overall, about a third of Americans have read through all or almost all of the Bible, LifeWay reported this week. Another 23 percent haven’t read more than a few sentences.

The amount of the Bible that Americans have read seems to correlate with the way they read it.

“Twenty-two percent read a little bit each day, in a systematic approach. A third (35%) never pick it up at all, while 30 percent look up things in the Bible when they need to,” reported Facts & Trends. “Nineteen percent re-read their favorite parts, while 17 percent flip open the Bible and read a passage at random. A quarter (27%) read sections suggested by others, while 16 percent say they look things up to help others.”

About half of evangelicals said they chose the systematic approach, reading a little each day (49%).
