(Poem) The Last Of The Family

The Last Of The Family

14 Is the most that our Clan could have ever been

8 Stillborns, breaks the heart of woman and man

One Brother for three days his heart let him be

With five for many years our little family did live

On my 36th our big brothers heart gave up

Depression and booze a bad combo to sup

Christmas the next year our Dads did give in

For almost seven years these pains did mend

A wreck took our Mom at the door to your haven

Our extended family fell apart as she went to Heaven

Sis, just you and I, we survived for almost 18 human years

Fear not the shivers you feel it’s just my Spirit protecting you

(Religious Poem) A Hollow Vessel

A HOLLOW VESSEL

(A Kab), a hollow vessel, be ye not

For God’s gathering place is Holy

Know ye not that our body is a Holy Vessel

It is a Promised Land, a Home to the Spirit of God

Be ye not vacant, nor your Spirit in drought

For a vacant house is open to the Master of death

Clean thy thoughts O man, for the Lord knows them

Thy heart knows thy words before they touch your lips

Please, seek ye purity of heart and of your Soul

There is nothing that we know that was not given before unto us

Kiss the ground and bow thy head O man, walk with eyes wide open

Evil is trying to snare your life and Soul with your every step

Friends we must keep the stoop to our Souls as clean as we can

At the door to our Soul, the Lord Jesus stands knocking on our heart

All of our bodies are a Home for a Spirit, either of God or Satan to dwell

If our Soul lacks God, our hollow vessel, all the way to Hell Satan will indwell!

(Humor/Poem) Behind The Wheel

Behind The Wheel

The first time I noticed them

I had just turned nine years old

Reflecting gold and silver in the night

Moonlight off all their chrome

I knew that night that some day

Yes someday, the cab of a truck

Would be the place I would lay my head

Thirty years this rolling thunder was my home

For wife and child I worked hard to give home and food

At home the wife made it living hell behind the walls

Having to live in a life where the wife always spat hate

Leaves a person with broken spirit, heart and Soul

If your mind is to survive and not live a life of grovel

Get your backside in the seat, close the door, open the throttle

Back into a life in which you can learn to deal with the hate

When you put your foot down on the power depend on the Jake

Now only D.O.T. and the red and blue lights to turn your mood sour

Always got a roof to keep you our head dry no matter the weather

As you get to see our great country  from the Gulf and water to water

Sometimes you even get to see our big beautiful Northern Sister

Four years away from her now, Lord how I miss her

You work yourself to the brink of death they take your CDL

Now in my front yard I have a big shiny T-2000 KW

Each morning I awake, with no X-Wife my nerves to grate

When no one is looking I kiss the shiny chrome of my Mistress

My Buddhist Professor Could Not ‘See’ Or Believe How I See The Soul And Body

To those of you who read this article I am writing tonight I am just writing some memories down for some of you to maybe enjoy. Way back when I was another person physically I was blessed to attend a great Junior College in the South-East and received my two-year degree. As things turned out the Associate degree didn’t do me any good at all as far as getting or keeping a job but what it did for me as a person, the experience was awesome but I worked my brain and body to exhaustion for a 2.7. Okay enough of a personal history lesson, this post is about a Gentleman Professor who was near his retirement date but I was blessed to have two classes with him. One of the classes, the second one was based on world religions I believe. If I remember correctly I received one ‘C’ and one ‘B’, which was about normal for me as you can see with that 2.7.

This post tonight is about a conversation with this very interesting man the last time I saw him the last day of my classes there. We had a short conversation with the subject matter being ‘the Soul’ of a person but also the concept of the Bibles ‘Holy Spirit’. I told my Professor that to understand the Holy Spirit you had to be able to understand exactly what ‘the Holy Spirit’ is. So I used the human being as my example. Any human being will do from any race on the globe. Look at the human as if you ‘your body’ is a house. This is with the knowledge that there is a good and there is a bad not only in human forms or in animals, fish, or bugs. I as a Christian do believe in a Spiritual World where there is also good, and bad. I believe that a person as we stand and look at our selves in the mirror we see ourselves, the body, the form, that is not the you I am talking about tonight though. You as a person, we are always talking through thought, to ourselves. You know this is so, how do you choose which way to go at the light when you have no directions? If you are ‘thinking’ you are speaking with yourself.

You do know the term’ me, myself and I,’ don’t you? How about for this example it is you in your own house/body all by yourself (I hope). In the ‘Spiritual Realm’ a true believer of Jesus Christ is given of the Holy Spirit of God Himself and this Spirit, The Lord’s Spirit, resides inside  of God’s believers. This is not so much that humans can go around doing signs and wonders, God’s Spirit is our protector from having a Demonic Spirit step inside our bodies with us because Evil cannot reside in the same home as the Spirit of God. The Fallen Angels still have their powers and they will until the day the Arch Angel Gabriel sounds God horn. So the result is that we humans are the battleground, God trying to protect our own personal Soul, and the Devil and his Angels trying to get us thrown into the fires of Hell with them. They know because they have already been judged and convicted to that eternity. Think how irate they must be that lowly humans will be in God’s glory forever, as they are burning in pain forever?  What my professor didn’t believe was that such ‘Spirits’ existed or could move in and or out of a ‘carrier’. There is good, there is evil, and there is the clueless in the middle. When the Spirit of God resides within a person, God is the ‘shield and the buckler’ of that persons ‘Soul’.

Who Is At Home “Within Us”

While I was attending classes at Walters State in Morristown Tennessee, I was graced to have a Professor whom I believe is a convert to Buddhism. The class I had with him had a large amount to do with world cultures so obviously interfacing  at times with Religion issues. He did a very good job of keeping his personal convictions to himself. His knowledge of the issues being taught I felt were very good. One day in his office the issue of one’s soul came to the forefront and my beliefs really stunned my Professor. When he got over his shock he looked at me all stunned faced and said “do you really believe that ?”.

My belief is quite simple, I believe that all humans have souls. Everyone’s body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit whom have excepted Jesus as the Christ and have been buried in baptism and raised a new person, but only if you, your Soul, invite Him in. You (your Temple), and everyone’s Temple only have one of three positions that we can be in. There is the first fact that everyone must first overcome and that is whether they really do or do not believe that God is real.  Then a person must believe that there is such a thing as Souls. We (our Souls) are always in our bodies (except for a few short oddities here and there). We can live in our House (body) alone or one of two other things can happen. Either our body is possessed by our souls only, or with a Spirit from either the Light of the Dark, but never at the same time.  Dark can not be where the Light is. Light will throw out the Dark, for where the Light is the Dark cannot enter. The third option is one that is taken but usually not by the persons own choice. This “situation” is when a Spirit of Darkness “a Demon” decides to step into your body, when this happens the only thing that can force them to leave their host is through the power of God’s Spirit. So, we are all in one of these three positions according to the best of all the material I have been able to study on this matter indicates.

So when death comes calling on us, and on us it all will, who is at home with us? The answer is the same for every one of us when it comes time for each of us to die, we will be found in one of these three conditions when we die, or when the Lords trumpet sounds. 1.) We are found, home alone, no company, self served to Hell’s Gate. 2.) We are so unfortunate as to have had a Demon residing within us, whether a person knew it was there or not, they will still be condemned to Hell’s Gate. 3.) You/we/I may think this is a bit unfair but what you and I think really doesn’t matter any at all. I know it is a shock to many but we ourselves are not the decider of all things, we are not the rulers of the universe. Unless a person when they die find themselves in the third condition (having the Spirit of God, Holy Spirit) residing within them then you/we/I have no hope but to end up at number one and two’s destination. It is the New Testament that you will read this understanding in as it was not an Old Testament (The Law to the Hebrew people) situation but for all of us since the time of Christ it is now the only way to God’s salvation.

In My Time

O Lord, the things I have seen in my days I have been given

O Lord, the things by your grace to me You have shown

South-West Virginia and Your beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains

Iron Ridge culture, hard working poor white trash, 1950’s.

“I’m going to start remembering now”

These, the first words I ever remember

Spoken aloud, words from within my own soul

Inner words, everyone has a soul, I know They speak to all

Placed all the rooms in our little home, which I still remember

Outside, counted all the concrete blocks front to back

Two years old, friends how do we do and know such things?

Born with math skills, but look at Mozart what at three he could play.

Summertime, setting on the front porch, my two siblings by my side

Walk across the dirt road to the wood gate

Sunny day, watching the cattle on the other side

Mom gave us each a nickel for us a Coke to buy, a great treat at the time

Walked to the Shell just below the house that sheltered us five.

O how hard it was on Mom, to always be so poor

Minimum wage factories, workers just chafe on the rich mans floor

I guess it’s easier on the pre -school children, the classes they don’t know

School starts, you see other children, realities you had not seen before.

Mid 1960’s, poor flight to to west, a better life your hoping for

You trade the Blue Ridge for the Great Sioux’s Black Hills

O Lord, on at trip like this, the things a child’s eyes ingest

Moon light shines, illuminates the beauty of the big rigs

August Rattle Snakes playing in the sand, 114 in the shade

30 days later, chest high snow in September, O what a land.

One year later, hoping for better, for a good job toward Windy we ran

When you are so poor, you spend your whole life trying to escape it

But even young, I knew that pain, always present in my Mamma’s eyes

Life is always hard with an alcohol disease riddled parent

Knowing that you are hated and he beats you with glee

Even harder on the child when they know other adults know and see

They never ever come to your aid, they always just let it be.

Life’s early hardships, good or bad, they help create the person inside

About forth or fifth grade I walked into your door Lord

My life long rock, my life many times You have saved

Poor white boy, learning of life in the mid-west, with a Hill Billy mind

With some knowledge of Dakota’s  beautiful Black Hills

These life’s lessons, good and bad, always living behind my eyes.

Now I am aged with gray beard and store bought eyes

Now the projector in my mind plays me many memories

Occasionally I see some of the good I have done in my life

Though I do try to castrate these pictures from my mind

A lofty heart leads to evil, I wish to give ego no quarters to hide.

In my life I have mastered the art of many evils

O how I wish I could say that this thing was a lie

But when you have seen and have known pure evil

Pay some attention to the news, evil all around us resides

Demons have no fear of man, they will lie, looking you in the eyes

They will tell you they are Angels, for your best interest they care inside

Do not be deceived, mainly in the worlds capitals they hide.

In my time Lord You have shown me many things

Through Your Spirit You have given me some site

In life it is so easy to become a manic-depressive

You have so plainly shown me our planets plight and demise

Our leaders and the media so filled with venom to Your light

Evil so blinded and hungry for more power, money, and pride.

I know that by the time the trumpet sounds

I will once again be just dust upon the ground

Though I cringe for all our children, and theirs

The battle of the Nations against their Creator

For left behind loved ones, Armageddon lies ahead.

As the Lord and His Angels return to fight from the clouds overhead

The Demons pre-judged, to Hell they will now be thrown

Leaving the poor defrauded people to fight God and His Angels alone

They are now like grapes in the press, confused, disillusioned, and dead.

Lord I thank You that this event I will not have to see, “In My Time”.
