Give Me Soft Targets And I’ll Kill you all!

Give Me Soft Targets And I’ll Kill you all!

This title is for two purposes, to get your attention and to try to get people to actually think a little bit. I had just finished my supper and had sat down to write a poem for this blog but I got distracted by the news of a mass shooting in southern California so I decided to write this first. I am also writing this letter to you today so as to make sure to everyone exactly how I feel on the issue of firearms. I am a person that when I do go out of the house I very often carry a 45 Ruger (concealed) everywhere I go. When I go into a store around here I know that plenty of folks are carrying a sidearm also. If I go into a store or business of any kind I know that if I chose to act the part of a fool and pull my sidearm that most likely several people around me would shoot me dead, as they should. The management of businesses also know that the people like me who carry are actually extra security for their business and for their employees and they don’t even have to pay for the protection. It is the same for when people go to a House of Worship, if there are let’s say, 200 people in the building probably at least 20 are carrying a firearm. Because of the Constitutional right that we all have to protect ourselves we then become not such a ‘soft’ target.

Cowards love soft targets and the reason is simple, they want to cause as much death as possible without getting shot themselves. If a person goes into a ‘soft target’ like a synagogue they are not expecting to be shot at, they want to be the only one with a gun so that they can continue to kill people until they run out of bullets. Today at the Chabad Synagogue in Poway California a 19-year-old man walked into the Passover Service and started shooting, he shot four people killing only one even though he was using (reportedly) a semi auto AR-15 assault rifle. There is only one reason there are not many more dead people this evening and that was because there was a member of the Congregation, a Border Patrol Agent there WITH HIS FIREARM. This agent shot at the murderer (missing him) and the coward fled. Having a gun in the building saved many lives today.

Here in the U.S. the Democratic Party Platform has for years been trying to make every law-abiding citizen an easy kill for every lunatic, A-hole, hate filled soul as well as for all the terrorist. Also remember that not all police officers or all military personal are honest decent people either, this is why the framers of the Constitution insisted that the people have a way to defend themselves from a tyranny filled government. Have you ever noticed that the people who scream the loudest about ‘gun control’ like Hillary Clinton have multiple guns protecting her and Bill at all times. That is called hypocrites folks. These same people who do not want the U.S. building walls have themselves built high walls around themselves and their homes. Terrorists in this country have always chosen soft targets to do their evil, places like Churches, synagogues, and schools. The day will come where terrorists, domestic and foreign will start mass bombings and shootings here on our soil against police agencies and government agencies as well as against the politicians. If people like Hillary had any sense they would advocate for good background checks and for the citizens to be able to protect themselves. That is what honest politicians would do, ones who trusted their own citizens, but then again, that statement does say it all. You notice I did say ‘honest politicians’ whom actually trust their own citizens!

This Will Stop Most All School Shooting From Ever Happening

As almost all of you know I am a believer in people being able to protect themselves and their families by any means necessary and that does include having firearms in their homes and on their person. I have a concealed carry permit as does everyone in my immediate family. When I go into a store I look at it as the store I am in just got extra security for free. If someone comes in to rob the store while I am in there, the robber is dead plain and simple. There are a few places where carrying a gun is illegal, like into a school, these places that don’t allow people to carry are what I refer to as ‘soft targets’. These are places where the people that are there have no protection at all from a person who comes there to shoot and kill as many people as possible. Schools are very much a prime target for cowards to go to inflict the most damage possible, both physical damage and psychological damage. The psychological damage is because nothing screws up people’s minds worse than killing their innocent children and the physical damage is simply pure body count.

A lot of people say that guns should be barred in our country and they use things like the Valentines Day murders of those 17 kids in their Florida school as a prime example. If you will notice this was a case of a coward going to a ‘soft target’ to get as much body count as he could before he slithered away. He had no wish to get himself shot to death, he slithered out like the coward he is. He didn’t decide to go to a police station and start shooting at the police there nor to a military base and storm the guards, why? Was it because he knew that he would be shot and killed if he tried to do this? Some people will say, well, Police Officers get shot a lot here in our Country and that is true. But, a huge but, they are almost always ambushed when they are shot and or killed. When was the last time you heard of someone calling the police and then meeting them out in the street and challenge them to a quick draw contest? Cowards only go to places to shoot people where they feel safe that there are no people with guns at the ready in which to shoot back at them. Taking honest law-abiding citizens guns away from them only causes there to be more soft targets. Personally I do agree with outlawing these ‘bump-stocks’ and I agree with things like making it illegal to sell any guns ‘outside’ of a ‘Gun Show’. I also agree with things like a 5, 7 or even a 10 day waiting period when you buy a gun before you are allowed to get it while the Feds do safety checks on you.

Now to the main issue of this article to you this evening. It is a sickening thing that we have to have armed Police Officers in our Nations schools but it is a reality of our day. I know that there is a financial cost to having a Police Officer stationed at ever school in America. Communities say that they cannot afford to have this in their ‘Police Budget’ and school districts say the same thing. My suggestion is that there does not need to be any Police Officers on the school grounds so that there is no ‘local cost’. What I am saying is that every school in America could have/should have (6) armed National Guardsmen or (6) Army or Marine Corps Reserve personnel stationed at every school. You could put one on each side of the school and have two on the inside in a camera room to monitor the school property inside and out. The reason for two on the inside is if they see a potential problem one Officer leaves the room to help with the issue while one Officer is always there to keep an eye on the cameras. These Officers would be paid for my either the State if they are National Guardsmen or by the Federal Government if they are Reservist. This takes all of the local cost out of the equation.

There is one other reason why I say this should be done now instead of waiting for the events to happen, then start crying about why and how this could have happened. The issue is a terrorist attack on a school, probably on a grade school where maybe a dozen or so terrorist raid a school and start shooting everyone in sight and blowing up what they can’t get too to shoot. This is going to happen here in the States, it just hasn’t happened yet. I believe that there are two reasons this has not happened yet, (1) in this Country we have the second best Security and Intelligence Agencies in the world, next to Israel. (2) We have simply been very lucky, but this luck will run out, what then? When a terrorist group bursts into a school and kills 2,3,4 or 500 kids how are we going to handle the financial issue of school Security Officers then?

My Take On Guns In The U.S.

MY TAKE ON GUNS IN THE U.S.

As most folks probably know there was another mass shooting here in the U.S. this week. Once again it was a coward who chose a very ‘soft’ target, a school. This disgusting piece of human flesh shot and killed 17 high school students and wounded another 14 before leaving the scene. It is my belief that he should be chained against a rock wall and machined gunned to death asap. I believe that if a person commits premeditated murder that they should be put to death in the same manner that they chose to kill.

Now that I got my rant out, I would like to speak with you about why I do believe that the people in every country have the absolute right to have firearms. Here in the U.S. this ‘RIGHT’ is GUARANTEED to the people through the Second Amendment of the Constitution. There are several simple reason why the Founding Fathers wrote this into Law and that is so that the citizens of our Country could have the possibility of self-protection and for the protection of our families. The main reason the Founding Fathers wrote this RIGHT into law was so that the citizens could protect themselves from the Government when and if the Government became abusive in their ‘powers’. These Founding Fathers had come from Europe and they had experienced first hand the over reach of ‘Royalty’ and of the Wealthy Land Barron’s. When a government disarms their citizens they know that they can run them over like mange dogs and there is nothing that the people can do about it. As long as the ‘elite’ have to fear a lone gunman putting a bullet between their ears they tend to be at least a little bit tempered in their illegal inhumane acts toward the poor. Another reason that the Second Amendment was written into law was for making it possible for people to be able to hunt for food. Then of course there is the reason of people being able to protect themselves and their families from gangsters and evil people who might break into their homes or rob them while they are out and about in their daily lives.

Let me make this clear, I do have several firearms, pistols and long guns yet in my 60+ years of life I have never shot any living thing. I do on occasion do some target practicing in my back yard but I have never ever even aimed a firearm at another living person and I pray that I will never have to. Yet I have a concealed carry permit and in my State I can ‘open carry’. In this State ‘Kentucky’ if I go down to the very busy corner convenience store and I decide that I want to rob them, the people that work at the store most likely have their own guns on premise plus, lets say there are 10 other people in the store most likely at least three or four of them are carrying a gun also. So, there is the reality that if I want to act a fool and pull my weapon, I am going to be filled full of holes, only an idiot would try to rob any business here in Kentucky. Back in 1981 I moved to the state of Texas and within the first two or three years there were at least three mass shootings in fast food restaurants, then the state made it legal for people to get concealed weapons permits, I never heard of another one of those mass shooting in Texas again.

What I am getting at is the fact that these ‘shooters’ like the one at the Florida High School this week, are cowards! Taking guns away from people like me only makes it more likely of their being even more mass shootings by these cowards, lot less of them. These cowardly scum bags want to go into places where they can get the highest ‘body counts’ possible and they do not want to get shot themselves. They choose these ‘soft targets’ because there are no guns there to shoot back at them. When is the last time here in the States that you heard of a gunman going into a police station or a military check point and start shooting? When was the last time you heard of a Donuts Shop being robbed? Do you notice that it is people like Hillary Clinton who yell and scream about how we the people should not be allowed to have guns to protect ourselves with while they are guarded 24×7 by small police forces themselves.

I don’t like it but I do believe that because all schools are such soft targets where the body counts can be racked up very quickly that every school needs to be guarded by at least 6 armed police or military personnel. This would be two on the inside watching monitors and one on each side of the school. I say two on the inside because if something odd is noticed on a monitor one could go check it out while one continues to watch the monitors. I know it is an expense, but aren’t our children worth it? Think about how schools like in Russia where armed groups of Jihadists have stormed schools and killed hundreds of kids at one time, how are we going to handle this when it happens here in the States? Do not be foolish, such things are going to happen here, it is only a matter of when.

There are some things that I believe do need to be changed in our National gun laws though. To me the biggest one would be the shutting down of the ‘Gun Show’ loopholes. The one I am talking about is it must be made totally illegal for anyone to buy or to sell any firearm outside of the ‘Show’ floor. The way things are now I can buy pretty much anything I want out in the parking lot of these Shows, as long as I have the cash. I could be a member of a well-known street gang or a member of a Jihadist terrorist cell and I could load my SUV down with weapons, with no paper work, no paper trail at all.

Story highlights

  • Suicide bombers attack Peshawar and Mardan Friday morning
  • 13 dead in Mardan, one killed on outskirts of Peshawar

Peshawar, Pakistan (CNN)At least 14 people were killed Friday in the latest suicide attacks by a Pakistani Taliban splinter group targeting Christians and lawyers in the country, authorities say.

Both attacks were claimed by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of Pakistan’s Tehreek-i Taliban (TTP) — also known as the Pakistani Taliban — which has killed scores of people in previous attacks targeting both groups in the country this year.
In the city of Mardan, in the northern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at least 13 people were killed and another 53 injured in an attack at the city’s district courts Friday, District Police Officer Faisal Shehzad told CNN.
The attacker threw a hand grenade at the court gates, then blew himself up after security prevented him from entering, Senior Police Superintendent Shafiullah Khan said.
Four of those killed were lawyers, according to Amir Hussain, the president of the Mardan Bar Association.
There will be three days of mourning, during which time the courts will be shut, Hussain added.

Christian neighborhood attacked

Earlier in the day, a bystander was killed and three members of Pakistan’s security forces injured when suicide bombers struck a Christian neighborhood near Warsak Dam on the outskirts of Peshawar, according to the Pakistan’s military.
Pakistani police previously told CNN that four bystanders were killed and five were injured.
The attackers, four suicide bombers who were also equipped with arms and ammunition, entered the neighborhood after attacking a security guard early Friday morning, Peshawar Police Superintendent Kashif Zulfiqar told CNN.
Security forces responded, exchanging fire and killing the four assailants, according to a statement from the Pakistani military’s Inter-Services Public Relations department (ISPR).
A house-to-house search is currently underway and the situation is under control, the ISPR says.

“We have enhanced the security of Christians establishments, schools, hospitals, colonies and churches,” said Zulfikar.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan congratulated security forces for their prompt response in foiling the attack.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the latest attacks in a statement released by his office.
“These cowardly attacks cannot shatter our unflinching resolve in our war against terrorism,” he said. “These receding elements are showing frustration by attacking our soft targets. They shall not get space to hide in Pakistan.”

Claim of responsibility

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a group known for its bloody tactics aimed at soft targets, claimed responsibility for both attacks in an emailed statement.
“If Islamic law is not imposed across the country, such attacks will continue to be carried out,” the statement said.
The group has been behind devastating attacks in Pakistan this year, including an Easter Sunday attack targeting Christians in the eastern city of Lahore which killed at least 69 people, and ablast at a hospital in the western city of Quetta last month, which killed 72 people, many of them lawyers.

Pakistani soldiers cordon off a street leading to the Christian neighborhood on the outskirts of Peshawar.

Amnesty International’s South Asia director Champa Patel said in a statement that the attackers were “seeking to undermine the rule of law by targeting both the people who defend it in court and the people it should protect.”
The attacks were a “horrific reminder that Pakistan’s authorities must do more to ensure vulnerable groups are protected,” Patel said. “The authorities have a duty to protect the right to life, prevent human rights abuses, and hold perpetrators to account in fair trials without recourse to the death penalty or other human rights violations.”
Christians make up only 2% of Pakistan’s population, and face persecution from hardline Islamists, who want to see a strict interpretation of Islamic law take precedence in Pakistan’s legal system.
Previous attacks on Christians in Pakistan have included a suicide attack in Lahore that killed at least 14 people in March last year, and suicide attacks on a church in Peshawar in 2013 that killed more than 80 people.
