(Theology/Poem) Walking With God

Walking With God

Fashion our walk with the Lord along our life’s highway

Understand it is the Lord that gives us breathe each day

Nothing can harm our Soul if we walk holding His hand

When we pass from this life we shall enter His promised land

Unfurl the Flag of God for His love to all of us He freely gives

The Lord gave sight to the blind and His word calmed the raging sea

Tell all how He prayed in the garden for strength at the hill called Calgary

Let the world know of His love for us as the Cross He suffered and overcame

Armageddon awaits for those still living, on what side will we choose to be

When the Trumpet of God sounds, the Lord and His Angels we shall all see

The great day of the Lord is coming, Angels of Heaven singing of His glory

Friends, forever we shall shout and sing, the glory of our Lord God and King

To see a smile on the face of our Lord, there is no greater a thing to see

Let our voice ring out in song praising the God of all, the Father and His Son

Unfurl the flag of God’s salvation to us for our sins He washed away on Calgary

Can A Person Be A Christian And A Racist At The Same Time?

All I Can Give To You Is My Beliefs From My Understanding Of Biblical Scripture

Every time I start to write an article here in the blog I always first spend a few moments in prayer asking God to please guide my every thought and key stroke through the power of His Holy Spirit. I have studied the Scriptures now for a little over 50 years and I know a lot about all of the Canonized Books and several of the Non-Canonized ones as far as the Protestant and Catholic Churches are concerned. Yet, I make no claim to know absolutely everything about anything, yet I refuse to lie to you concerning anything, especially concerning the Scriptures. The following is my best understanding from my years of study concerning the question that is the title of this article.

My first thoughts were to answer the title question with a simple ‘No.’ But, is that really a ‘totally’ correct answer? I think that the technically correct answer would have to be yes. The reason for the yes is in my attempt not to be a Judge of anyone. My belief is that if a person is a racist when they die that they will without a doubt be condemned to Hell at their Judgement before the Judgement Seat of Christ. When a person is submerged in Baptism they are raised a ‘New Creature’ and ones old sins are washed away. But if a person rises out of the watery grave of Baptism still holding onto their old life and old hatreds all they accomplished in the Baptism was to get themselves wet. Racism is hatred, there is nothing ‘love’ about racism. If our heart is not filled with the love of God then our bodies are not the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit of God. Why do you think that the Lord Jesus says that His own know His voice? The reason is because the Holy Spirit is His and of course He knows His own voice.

For those folks who say they hate the Jewish people because they ‘killed Jesus’ they do technically make a great error. All people of the world should rejoice that the Jewish/Hebrew people fulfilled Scripture 2,000 years ago and had the Christ ‘Jesus’ killed. The reason that the Jewish people of the time did this was because God ‘hardened their hearts’ so that they would do this and in doing so fulfill the teachings and prophesies written in the Old Testament. If the Jewish people had not done this event then you and I would not have any chance of salvation, none! Everyone who was not of 100% pure Hebrew blood was a Gentile, which before the Resurrection of Christ was not considered “a people’ even by Jesus, we were all ‘unclean.’ If you will read the tenth chapter of the Book of Acts you will gain a better understanding of what I just wrote to you. At the very end of the last chapter (28th) of the Gospel of Matthew is written what is called Jesus’s ‘Great Commission’ to His Apostles to go into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Only after the Resurrection of Christ Jesus were people like you and I eligible for salvation. Please take a few moments to read the fifth chapter of the Book of Matthew where Jesus gives a sermon known as the ‘Beatitudes’ in the first twelve verses. Jesus taught us that if we hate our brother without a cause that we are condemned already. Without a cause, as in something that a person has absolutely no say so over. If you hate a person because you think they are to ugly or to short or to tall or because they were born in another country or even in a different part of your own country, you are acting like an idiot and you are sinning. The same would stand if you hate all men or all women, or even hate them because their skin color is different from yours. These are all things that not a single one of us have had any say so in what so ever, none!

Jesus told the Apostles to go into all Nations to all people to all tongues and to teach them salvation. Jesus died on that Cross so that low life Gentiles like you and I could have a chance at the same salvation that before His Resurrection we had no avenue to. Jesus went through with all of that pain so that us non-Jews could be saved, all of us, from all Nations, all tongues, all people. Who in the heck do you or I think that we are to hate anyone of God’s children over something that they have no say over, like what skin color they were born with. When we are filled with this hate it is not those that we hate that we are condemning, it is ourselves. So yes, a person can be baptized and call themselves a Christian, a follower of Christ and also be a racist. A person can call themselves King Kong but that does not mean that they are. People can say anything they want to say but we all need to understand that our words can and will condemn us just as a hate filled heart will condemn us. This is true even if we do not act out our hatreds because God does know what is in our hearts and what our thoughts are. If you say that you are a Christian yet you are a racist, a person who hates their brother without a cause, they are in effect walking up to Jesus as He is hanging on that Cross and spitting in His face and telling Him He is wrong and it is you who are correct. After all, remember, Jesus was a Jew.

Disciple: We All Are One, But A Disciple Of What

A lot of people when they hear the word disciple tend to think of the Lord’s twelve Apostles. These men were indeed disciples of Jesus Christ but in their case they were a whole lot more that just disciples. These men were hearer’s and seekers of the Lord in the flesh and of His miracles. There are no Apostles of Christ left upon the Earth today as John, the writer of the last book of the Bible called Revelation was the last and he died in the late first century A.D..  I put this little ‘disclaimer’ in because I have heard of a few men in my lifetime who has tried to deceive people by saying they were one.  John was the only one of the Lord’s Apostles who wasn’t murdered for their testimony of Christ. If you come across a person who says that they are an Apostle of Christ you can know without any doubt that this person is not even a disciple of the Lord because this person starts his testimony with a lie. The definition of the word disciple is to be a ‘follower’ of.

There are sects of the Christian faith that teach in error the concept of ‘once saved always saved’ even though the Scriptures do not teach this. Think about a person who was actually an Apostle of Jesus, a man who witnessed Jesus and His miracles and listened to His words daily for three years yet his own actions condemned himself. This man of which I speak is of course Judas Iscariot, the Apostle who for 30 pieces of silver betrayed Jesus to be condemned. Judas chose to become a disciple of and a worker for Satan, much to his own horror. Jesus Himself said “it was better for the man who betrayed Him, if he had never been born. For it was for this purpose , this act that Judas was brought into this world.” In the Gospel of Luke 22:3 it is written,”Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot.” Folks, what a horrible thing for this man Judas for the next time he see’s the face of Jesus will be at his own judgement at the Judgement Seat of Christ. In the Webster Dictionary the definition of the word disciple reads as follows “follower, one who takes another as a teacher and model, training that produces orderliness, obedience and self-control.” All of these things that Mr. Webster says about being a disciple is exactly what I want to be, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. This thing, this event, being a disciple of Jesus is exactly what I wish for everyone on Earth to have as their main daily goal in their lives.

Friends, everyone on Earth is a disciple of something or of someone, humans always have been, it is a reality of our nature. I know that there are some who are disagreeing with me right now on a personal level , that is okay, hopefully before you finish reading this article you will change your mind on that issue. Everyone of us humans are known by our works, what we do, or what we do not do. The people that are around us each day (at least the ones who even notice us at all) make judgements of us on the things we say and or do, or don’t do, fair or not this is reality. We humans are not saved by our works but we are known by them. This is so that we as humans should not boast of our accomplishments, raising ourselves above others because it is by the Grace of God that we are saved. This is why we must all walk our lives after the path of and the face of He whom we follow each day, if we are a disciple of Jesus Christ. If we are a disciple of Jesus we must all walk in the Light of The Lord everyday. The Lord gave us the examples on how we should live our lives, He doesn’t force us to do anything though, it is our choice what we do or don’t do. Question, if we walk after the face and the heart of Jesus in faith wouldn’t the things we do each day, our works, show to the world that we are a disciple of Christ? If you have people in your life who don’t believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Saviour of the human race, I pray that you by the example you lead each and everyday is an example of the Light, the Love of Jesus. If we are just a once a week Christian then we are neither hot or cold as we show Christ as a bad example to those around us and those people will turn away from the salvation that Jesus offers all of us, because of you, because of your works being evil they will be condemned.

Folks, this is concerning our ‘works’, our daily activities and why they matter so much. The Apostle Paul in his letters to the Churches in Asia Minor told the Christians there that just because it is legal for us to do something, let’s say like going to a bar/saloon/pub after work with a few of our buddies and have a couple of beers before we head home, it is not always a good idea to do so. The reason Paul gave was because if a weaker Christian sees us going into the bar they may think less of us as a Christian, thus think less of Christianity and fall away from The Faith. Paul was just telling us to be careful about our actions each day because our actions do matter, if we are a Christian we are supposed to be a ‘light unto the world’. It may sound a bit cold but if we are not walking our lives, our daily examples, after the Light of Lord then we are walking in the darkness of this world and at the very least, our own actions are condemning ourselves. This life for we humans is but the ‘blink of the eye’ in regards to eternity yet we seem to find it so difficult to stay faithful for just this little while. If we fall, if we fail, it is our own fault if we are after this life, thrown into Hell.

The Devil puts so much onto the daily path that we walk. He wants us all to trip and fall as often as possible hoping for the day that we give up and do not get up. He wants every one of us to stumble in and to live in His darkness. Remember friends, the Devil is a raging Lion constantly walking the Earth seeking whom He can devour.  Satan wants you, your parents, grandparents, your kids, brothers and sisters, your spouse and everyone you know and love to go to Hell, literally. You see, Satan and tens of thousands of Angels fought against God, His Son, the Holy Spirit and their faithful Angels for supremacy of Heaven itself, and they lost. They were kicked out of Heaven onto the Earth where they will be until the end of this system of things that we are all part of. Then once the Second Advent of Christ happens they will be cast straight into Hell as their final punishment for their treason against God. The Devil and His Angels know the Bible better than any human and they know that events are winding down. They also know that we humans whom they hate so badly are going to have a fair and honest chance to have what they once had, salvation, eternity with God. So you see friends, it really does matter what path we choose in this life, it matters a lot whom or what we decide to ‘follow’,  to be a disciple of. None of us knows when our last heartbeat will be yet once it has happened the path we followed can not be changed. With the Lord Jesus there is only one path, the one that leads us to Him. There are many other paths and they all lead us to the same place and that place is not to God, it is to the Devil and all of His raging Angels who are waiting for us in Hell, it is our choice. Whom or what are we a Disciple of?

Earthlings: Wake up: Creationism AND Evolution-ism Are Both Correct!

I am a devout life long Christian yet I have for most of my adult life debated how Christians (for the most part) are so oblivious to reality and to the Truths that are shown us in the Bible. So many people who believe in the Bible as the Holy Spirit Inspired Word Of God (as I also do) tend to read the Bible with ‘Church Doctrine’ blinders on. Back in the time of the Apostles and the time that Jesus walked the Earth when they taught in the Synagogues the people studied the Scriptures to see if what they were being taught was the truth or not. Just because your Preacher or a Church Elder, Bishop, or if you are Catholic, even the Pope, tells you something it is your Christian obligation to search out the Scriptures to see if what you are being told is Biblical.

Reality is that the ignorance of Christians/Churches have convinced millions if not billions of people throughout history to turn their backs on the Jewish and the Christian faith. Right from the very first book of the Bible (Genesis) Christians and Jews do not understand what we are so plainly being told. Yes the world and all in it were created in six days, but those six days are not, were not, human days, they were God’s days. I nor any other human knows what one of God’s days represent compared to a human day but Scripture tells us over and over again that God’s days are not our days yet humans keep trying to make that be so anyway. Even in our own solar system every single planet that circles the sun has a different amount of our hours in one of their days. Some will, through their ego’s say, well why didn’t Moses just lay it all our for us so we could know exactly everything? Folks, almost all of the humans that were alive about 3,600-3,700 human years ago calculated time through their own ancestors which normally only traversed back 3, 4, or 5 generations at best. Do you honestly think if Moses had started teaching them of thinks that happened 3 or 4 billion years ago that these people would have listened to him? What if Moses had started laying out the lineage of Dinosaurs, what do you think they would have done? My guess is that the people have shunned him for being a crazy man.

Most all of us know some about the story of Adam and Eve from the first two chapters of Genesis but my question to everyone is, just how well have you read it? Have you just taken the word of the Church you attend as to what the Scripture actually is telling us all? Please reread the first two chapters. If you will notice in the first chapter Adam was created but before His creation God created ‘men and women, and, God created He them’. After God had created multiple ‘men and women’ God created Adam. Now in the first chapter, after God did all of His creating of those ‘Six Days’, God rested from His work on the 7th day. Then after all His work was done and He had created the first group of people (the Gentiles) and Adam, then in chapter #2 God then created Eve to be a help mate for Adam. Folks, the ‘promised one, the Messiah, Jesus The Christ’ lineage is traced back through the ‘Royal Blood Line’ to Adam. There were two human creations, the gentiles, and the Royal Blood Line of Adam. Adam and Eve were about 5,500 human years ago yet humans were on this planet many thousands of years before this time. Jesus Himself referred to us Gentiles as “people before this time whom were not a people”. Jesus was pointing out that before His time here on Earth, before His Resurrection that salvation was only to the Jews and to no one else. So, people who were not a people, Gentiles! These are simple truths laid out in writing for us all to see yet we choose to remain blind. Think about a few things we are told here in the beginning of Genesis. After Cain had murdered his brother Able God banished Cain to the East of Eden in the land of Nod. God put a mark on the forehead of Cain so that “all who find him would not kill him”, folks, all of who? There were only 3 people left on the planet right, just Cain, his Mom Eve and his Dad Adam, so all of whom? Then after Cain had been banished he took a wife, wait a minute, where did she come from? Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible/Torah through the guidance of God’s Spirit, whom we tend to call the Holy Spirit from the New Testament. The Truth of the Scriptures are right before our eyes, but we have been trained not to see the real Truth. We have been taught Church doctrines instead which has run many millions away from God’s teachings.

If Moses had told the people of his time that the world was abbot 4-5 billion years old and that the planet we call Earth had started with a big interstellar bang what do you think the people would have done to him? At the very least they would have thought him to be crazy and no one would have paid him any mind. To my Christian and Jewish brothers, yes there were such thing as dinosaurs and there has been life on this planet for several hundred millions of human years. I did not say that there has been human life here on Earth for hundreds of millions of our years, just life itself. God does not want us to be ignorant for ignorance begets death, physical and spiritual. Science has pretty much discovered/proven that human life has been on this planet for about 100,000 years, not just the  5,000-5,500 years since Adam and Eve. I am not an archaeologist even though I am a huge fan of history. I know that science has been looking for the so-called ‘missing link’ between Primates and Humans for longer than I have been alive. This is like trying to find that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, it doesn’t exist folks.

Evolution, is there such a thing? Of course there is folks. As an example I would like to use the people science calls Neanderthals. For most of my life time scientist have wondered what happened to them, why did they go extinct? Just like the people before them who bred with them the same thing happened to them, they were bred out of existence. You can breed cattle with buffalo and you get what is called beefalo. You can take oranges and breed them with tangerines and you get a product called tangelos. In Scripture the ‘House of Israel’ was forbidden to mix blood with any of the Gentiles, if they did then they were counted as not being pure. Humans did not crawl up out of the oceans and even though we have many of the same molecules of other creatures we did not derive from them and they did not derive from us. Today science can create a form of a human being through cloning and some would call this evolution, that we have evolved into a more pure condition but they are ignorant of reality. Science can play God, but they are not God. Just as if I could make an android and give it a human name like George, George is still not a human. The difference in these two creations of science and a real human being is that science can not create ‘a Soul’. It is the Soul that makes the conscientiousness that makes one human and only God can create the Soul. Is there such a thing as evolution, of course there is, just not to the extent that some scientist believe and or are trying to find or create.

Science has some things wrong, yet they do have many things correct. Churches have many things correct, yet they have many things wrong. It is the job of the Churches to teach the whole Truth but first the Churches must open their eyes to what the Scriptures actually say and to forget about ‘Church doctrines’. The Earth is a special place for it is designated to be “God’s Footstool”. Earth is where Jesus will reign from once the New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven to replace the current city of Jerusalem once it has been totally destroyed after the Second Advent. Now, Christians, wake up to reality about other planets. Do you honestly think that if God is the Creator of all things in the Heavens and on the Earth that He created billions of planets for no purpose or reason at all? To the best of my knowledge I have never seen an alien yet I totally believe that they exist, it would be difficult to honestly believe other wise. Then again there is the issue of, what does an alien actually look like? Personally I have no idea, but I do doubt that they look like humans. Personally I believe in the existence of Angels, I also believe that I have seen and spoken with at least two in my lifetime. I also believe in the existence of Satan and of His Angels, to me, to not believe in both is Biblical ignorance. I personally do not know if I have ever spoken directly with any Demons but I think that there is a very good chance that I have several times. I know that I have experienced being in places and in the presence of a few people where the feeling of pure evil was like a stench in the air, you could feel it, you could almost taste it. Remember, if you spend your life trying to be good and trying your best to be the best follower of Christ that you know how to be, you make yourself a target for the hate of evil ones.

Putting God First: I know I Haven’t Always

Do you remember the commandment that says”thou shall not lie”? Do you personally believe that if you are asked at your judgement, did you put God first in your life that you can honestly say yes? If you can I honor you for I know that if I said such a thing it would be a lie and of course God knows the answers before He asks the questions. But can I ever say that I have put God first in anything, ever, can you? My answer to this version of the question would be yes, I believe that would be and honest answer? But, do I put God first in my daily life right now, everyday, any day? This is a question that can be very difficult to answer because it can and will vary by the things that we personally believe to be truth. There are some people who think that to be a “holy person” that they must spend their lives on their knees in front of a church altar in prayer while they are flogging themselves. Personally I do not believe this at all, but ones faith is and is supposed to be, a personal one with God. We all have different talents and abilities in physical matters and we have different talents in spiritual matters. Our own personal relationship with God is exactly that, our own personal relationship with Him. We will all be judged by how we preformed our daily lives. I cannot save you nor can I condemn you, this is a burden/cross that each person carries on their own each step, each breath, each heart beat.

When a person except’s Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, is buried in baptism then he/she is raised a new creature. Do you understand this meaning? You see when we except Jesus as our personal Savior we are given the Spirit of God within us, it is this “Holy Spirit” that makes us a new creature, a new being. When we except Jesus as our personal Savior we are no longer our own, we belong to God. But, do we act any different from everyone else who is “of the world”? If we are no different when we come up out of the water (different mind-set) all we really did was to get our self wet. God knows His own, when He calls His own, His own know His voice because God’s Spirit is “God within us” and yes, He does know His own voice. What this does mean though is that anyone who does not have the “Spirit of God” indwelling  them when they/we die we will be condemned at the Judgement Seat of God. In humans lives if in our daily adventures we do not keep God at the fore front of our decisions as in “what would Jesus do” we can not honestly expect great results in our daily lives to be showered upon us by God.

In my opinion I am never going to be “good enough” on my own to honestly say “I deserve” for God to treat me great each day or to even protect me from the worlds evils each day. This is why I personally am so grateful for “God’s grace” because “my works” in my opinion, will never be perfect enough to suffice for my own salvation. We do not live under the “old law” (Old Testament) that the Jewish people were assigned by God about 4,000 years ago. Under the ‘Old law’ you could be saved by your works even if you had little faith. If a person followed the Ten Commandments there was a real good chance they would be safe when they die and go to their judgement before the Throne of God as long as you were of the Royal Blood Line given from God to the Hebrew people. The House of Israel is still special to God but they lost their exclusiveness to salvation because of not following the teaching and commandments of their God so God through Jesus (The Christ, The Messiah, The Promised One)  made a path for all of us gentiles to obtain salvation also (New Testament).

Now back on track, do I put God first everyday of my life? Do I open my eyes in the mornings and the first thought (after addressing the need to pee) is to wash my hands and face and pray thanking our Creator for His grace and kindness? Do I thank God before each meal for the food and lodging? I have to admit that at times I have been slack in my thank you’s to God for all of His kindness and grace to me throughout this life time He has given me. How would you answer these questions if no one else was around to hear the answers? I know that I am not a perfect person and that I have committed  many different sins in my life time, I know that on my own merits I would be condemned at my judgement. I know that only by Gods grace do I actually have a chance at salvation. I personally am very glad that the people of Israel 2-4,000 years ago fell short of their adherence to ‘The Law” given exclusively to them, if they had not messed up, you and I would have zero chance of salvation. Yes we are all know to others by the works that we do each day, good or bad. We are now all commanded to live by faith for without faith it is impossible to please God. If we truly do love God then we will follow His directions to love one another as ourselves. There is truth in the fact though that some people are never going to except the love of God because their hearts are filled with hate and ignorance. When we encounter such people we are to shake the dust of our feet off  as a sign against them. Not everyone is going to be faithful to God in their daily walk of life, you and I, we must always be careful to live a life of faithfulness to God if we actually care about Him. Do I always put God first everyday, all day? All I can say is thank you Lord for your kindness and your grace.
