America’s Police Problem Is Far More Than A Race Issue

America’s Police Problem Is Far More Than A Race Issue

I am not here today to rag America’s Police Agencies. But I’m not here to give them or us regular civilians a free ride either. I am going to try to relay my thoughts to you on this issue so that you can compare your thoughts, with mine. I know that there is a race issue in this country and by a race issue I am referring to it as a hate issue, a lack of love issue, a lack of giving a flip about others, issue. American media outlets tend to want to paint America as a black and white country when it is not. There are many races of people here in the States, not just Black Folks and White Folks. There is also the issue of multi-race races, the so-called Browning of America. There are multiple police shootings within the country each year but the media only wants to display the ones where a White Officer shoots an unarmed Black Man. Where is the media when the situation’s is reversed? Why aren’t the Police Officers and their families awarded as much ink when Officers are murdered? Hey, I’m picking on everybody today, why not the glory hound media people?

I drove Our Nations highways for a living for more than thirty years. From 1981 thru 2013 I put over five million miles on our Nations roadways. During this time a person tends to notice how trends are headed more and more toward a Police State, but that is a debate for another time. Back in the late 1980’s I noticed a trend where Police when they pulled someone over to the shoulder of the road that the Officers started putting their hands on their weapons as they walked up to the vehicles. I totally believe that this was/is for their own safety why they started doing this. You used to almost never see that on a simple traffic stop. Then it became more and more common to the point now that it would seem odd (and unsafe) for them not to do so.

When Police Officers had to honestly be worried for their lives every time they pull a vehicle over it upped the game for every Officer on every stop. To help keep Officers safe they are taught to enter a situation with overpowering force so that no sane person would dare become aggressive. They are taught to always make sure that the one they are having to deal with knows very plainly that it is they the Officer who is in charge of the current situation. This style does work, but is it necessary all of the time? Also do we civilians somehow think we need to pick this time to act like a spoiled little kid who got their brain stuck in the cookie jar? Folks is this really the best time to start having ignorance of the mouth disease with the Officers?

When I was a very small child you used to hear on T.V. and in grade school that if you were ever lost or in trouble to find the nearest Police Officer because they will always be helpful. Are kids still being taught this in our society today? I grew up seeing Police acting in very unfriendly and aggressive ways toward everybody, well, except for the wealthiest of the residents. Folks I am a white guy who grew up in small towns where almost all the citizens were white with only white cops who acted in very unprofessional ways a lot. Race had nothing to do with anything, it is the mentality of the Bullies and the Punks that invade their Departments that Departments themselves must remove first, then get retraining. For there to actually be a civilized society the Police and the Population must be friends with each other, not combatants.

The aggressive culture of Policing Agency’s needs to be backed off a notch or two when it is at all possible. I have heard Sheriffs talking on radio programs referring to themselves as “para-military organizations”, Folks, no you are not. For the most part all American police officers are only dealing with the local population, except for when they are working on the interstate. Should an Officer be super careful when he pulls a vehicle over, of course, there are idiots and A-holes who will shoot an Officer and call it entertainment. There is also the issue of the population needing to pretend they have a brain when they are in contact with an Officer. Trying to act your ignorant big and bad self should be done at some other time. Reality is that most Cops tend to be alpha-males/females and they are in a very dangerous job. Even if you are an Alpha person if you decide to show the Officer that you want to play a game of low I.Q’s, it is you who will lose that war.

We as a Nation must become less hate filled and angry, so often just looking for anyone else to blame for our own moral short-falling (and yes I do mean a moral issue). Hating someone because of them wearing a uniform is as ignorant as hating someone because they were born in or from a different country than what we call our own. Are they’re racist within policing agency’s? I believe the correct answer is, most likely. But unfortunately there are low-life type people woven within the fabric of every Nation, in every occupation, not just in policing agencies. If a semi tractor-trailer unit gets in an accident of any kind, we sorta of stick our heads on a neon sign, we are noticed easier. If a person wearing a uniform does something arrogant or illegal, they need to understand that sometimes they will get caught on at least one camera. As an Officer you should not have to be afraid of interaction with the public, we are not your enemy. Officers need to be more friendly when it is possible for them to do so, and to only become aggressive if the civilian becomes physically combative with them. Peace, kindness, and caring must be nurtured from both sides of this divide.

Here in America we have seen two cases of police officers who acted in horrible manners in the first week of July of 2016 on many of our news agencies. Two people are dead because of the actions of police that were way wrong. We have seen a man be murdered in Baton Rouge Louisiana and another murdered in Saint Paul Minnesota, both of these murders were committed by local police officers. What is even more sad is that both of these incidences happened because of a race issue and in a society for it to be civil or moral, these things must be stopped. Across America District Attorneys have for decades allowed the police officers to be bullies and thugs and this issue must stop or the police killings will not stop. In 1964 the US Supreme Court made a huge mistake, they passed a law where District Attorneys can not be held liable for their ‘mistakes’ that they may make. They did not believe that D.A.’s would be dishonest in matters like withholding evidence for the purpose of convicting people of crimes that they didn’t commit. The Supreme Court in 1964, in my opinion, was way out of touch with reality. The former Governor of the state of Illinois had to revoke all death sentences because once DNA came into existence it proved that many of the people who were on death row should not have even been in jail. Many of these people had been framed by lazy and crooked cops, most of them from Chicago and Cook County. Until Americas DA’s decide to do their ‘moral’ obligations to their communities and start charging the police officers when they commit crimes like murder with murder, nothing will ever get better.

Black Lives matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter

Black Lives matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter

(I FIRST RAN THIS ARTICLE IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 BUT I DECIDED TO RUN IT AGAIN AFTER A YOUNG UNARMED MAN WAS SHOT 20 IN HIS BACK YARD IN SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA BY A COUPLE OF POLICE OFFICERS A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AGO)

A few days ago I saw a picture somewhere here in the States during some kind of a rally where it showed uniformed police officers and some were holding up a sign that said “Blue Lives Matter”, I hadn’t seen that before but obviously it stuck in my memory. After the police officer shot that young black man in Ferguson Missouri earlier this year and the riots that followed a group of people started up the campaign of Black Lives Matter and yes, they absolutely do matter, but so does everyone else including the lives of every single man and woman who carry a badge.

Personally I believe that we are looking at two main issues when it comes to police violence against anyone anywhere at any time. First I do believe as a Christian that no person has any right to use deadly force against anyone unless they or their family are being attacked. When this happens though I do believe that everyone has the right and the duty to protect themselves and their loved ones. You see if there is no “attack” then there is no “attack” to protect from. A lot of Americas problems with our youth is that they do tend to have lousy parenting skills, or simply have no care about raising their kids to be God-loving and God-fearing human beings. When our young people develop a culture where they are proud of being loud mouthed punks where they have no respect for anyone or anything and their life goals is to act as big and bad as possible, then our young folks end up butting heads with the police departments. When we have a culture where acting like or being “gangster” is a life goal then these young folks are sometimes going to cross paths with some punks who are wearing blue. Being a cop is a difficult job and it usually takes a person who is rather “macho” “alpha males or ladies” to be able to do that job. But law enforcement world-wide is morally obligated to make sure that all Officers are mature, reasonable, honest adults and many departments have failed horribly at this job requirement.

Two things that I would like to see done in my lifetime is for our youth to find the love of Jesus and follow His examples of love instead of following the gangster hoodlum stupidity. If people would simply obey an Officers requests/orders and follow the Officers orders immediately and do it politely then how many lives would still be being lived? Now about Police Officers, their people, their responsibilities and their maturity issues. I am almost 60 years old now and I have lived in many states north and south. I have known many Police Officers from different backgrounds and I totally believe that many Officers and in some cases their whole departments are very much immature punks, thugs, and loud mouths. These type issues plus the fact that most Officers any more act as though they are scared to death of everyone they encounter. Some of this fear is valid as there are people in society who will shoot a cop for fun, and the cops know this danger. If you notice, anymore whenever a cop encounters people they almost always have the side arm unlatched and they have one hand on the trigger. In some cases this fear/cautiousness has caused innocent people to be murdered by a cop yet this same fear/caution has saved many Officers lives because the person they have stopped are sometimes looking for a chance to kill the Officer.

Every life on Earth matters, black, blue, white, brown, red, yellow, or pink with purple poke a dots. Every human life matters. So my conclusion on this issue today is a two-fold request. One, our society here in America is sick, certain cultures especially in the black communities have got to correct themselves. This must be done through better parenting skills with more Dads acting like dads. I personally did a horrible job at raising my two blood children but I was fortunate in that they were raised by a good family and they both turned out to be college grads who have never been in jail and who are now great parents themselves. Most people aren’t so lucky and it seems that our society excepts and applauds people who act like total morons. If families all still prayed at the supper table each evening and took even a half of an hour for Bible study and prayer and have the parents acting like loving parents, it is my belief that there would be many more young people still alive and out of prison than what we see today. Also, I believe that there would be more Police Officers alive today if as a profession they would vigorously fire the mean, hate filled, aggressive Officers who are ruining their profession. This does not hardly ever happen because to many departments are now headed by the same human garbage as the Officers they protect. Just because a person has been a Cop for 20 years does not mean that they are a quality person or Officer, just as a person who is a teacher who has 20 years experience does not mean that they are worth a damn as a teacher. A person can do a job for a whole life time but that does not mean that they were ever doing their job the way they swore an oath to do it.

America, we as a Nation have a lot of problems and we all are going to have many more new survival issues in our countries future, that is if we don’t implode as a Nation first. We as a Nation must come together as one people who are dedicated to Christian ideology or we will come apart at the seams. I guess maturity and decency by all people toward all people is beyond our reach as “a people”, I wish that wasn’t so but as the old saying goes “the proof is in the pudding.” If we fight among ourselves because of race and hatred then we as a Nation will be defeated by the Islamic hate groups that want all of us to die as quickly as possible. Folks, we don’t have a chance until we grow up and act like God-loving people toward each other, no matter what color, no matter what job.

The ‘Coward In Chief’ Calling The Kettle Black

Today I have been hearing some disturbing news from different news outlets about a Police Officer who was stationed at the school where 17 kids were murdered a week ago Wednesday. This Officer was assigned to this school as an ‘SRO’, school resource Officer. Evidently this Officer was outside the school when he first heard the shots being fired yet he waited for four minutes before he went inside. Some people (Mr. Trump) believe this Officer to be ‘a coward’, I am not him so I do not know if the reason he waited was from being a coward or not. Remember Officers are taught to ‘wait for backup’, is this why the Officer waited those four minutes? Put yourself in the Officers place, you hear semi-automatic rifle fire going on inside the school, all you have is a pistol and no bullet proof vest, so do you charge in, or wait for your backup? That would be a hard decision for most folks I believe and I don’t believe that any of us know what we would have done until we are placed in that position. Personally I believe that I would have called the gunfire in and then proceeded toward the gunfire, mainly because I would have known that these are children being shot at, I would have had to have made the sacrifice.

It would be easy for the media to label this Officer (who I read has quit his job) as a coward, I don’t know the whole situation, I was not there and neither were you, nor was President Trump. What made me decide to write this article today was that on the front page of my Google news this morning was our “Coward In Chief” calling this Officer a coward. For Mr. Trump to call anyone a coward is extremely hypocritical. This is the same Mr. Trump who took 6 deferrals from being drafted into the Military during the Vietnam War. His dad got him these deferrals while he was in college, saying he had a bone spur in his foot. Yet this bone spur did not stop him from participating in college sports programs, how odd. Mr. Trump was to much of a coward to even go into something like the Air Force Reserve or the National Guard and he could have gone in as an Officer. Mr. Trump, a man who refused to put on any of our Nations uniforms should never ever be calling someone else a coward. This truly is a case of the Coward calling the kettle black.

On Dec. 4, if everything goes according to plan, hundreds of veterans will muster at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. The mission: To stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.

“Most civilians who’ve never served in a uniform are gutless worms who’ve never been in a fight in their life,” Wes Clark Jr. declares. “So if we don’t stop it, who will?”

Clark Jr. is one of the most vociferous opponents of the Dakota Access Pipeline, a controversial 1,170-mile project that, if and when it is completed, will shuttle an estimated 470,000 barrels of crude oil every day from North Dakota to Illinois. “It’s immoral, and wrong, and dangerous to us all,” Clark Jr. adds.

He doesn’t fit the traditional tree-hugger mold. He’s not a hippie. Nor is he a member of the Lakota or Dakota tribes, the two Native American group known collectively as the Sioux. He’s a former Army officer and the organizer of an upcoming three-day deployment of U.S. military veterans to the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in southern North Dakota, the site of an escalating months-long standoff between law enforcement-backed security contractors and activists that has so far resulted in multiple injuries, more than 500 arrests, and a United Nations investigation of potential human rights abuses.

According to an “operations order” for the planned engagement, posted to social media in mid-November, “First Americans have served in the Unites States Military, defending the soil of our homelands, at a greater percentage than any other group of Americans. There is no other people more deserving of veteran support.”

Dakota Access Pipeline protesters stand waist deep in the Cantapeta Creek, northeast of the Oceti Sakowin Camp, near Cannon Ball, N.D., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. Officers in riot gear clashed again Wednesday with protesters near the Dakota Access pipeline, hitting dozens with pepper spray as they waded through waist-deep water in an attempt to reach property owned by the pipeline's developer.

Clark Jr. is a 47-year-old writer, political commentator, and activist based in California. Joining him in the fight is Michael A. Wood Jr., a Marine Corps veteran and former Baltimore police officer who retired his badge in 2014 to become an advocate for national police reform. Earlier this month, the duo formed Veterans Stand For Standing Rock with the hope of drawing scores of veterans, as well as fire fighters, ex-law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel and others to the battleground for a three-day “deployment” in early December to “prevent progress on the Dakota Access Pipeline and draw national attention to the human rights warriors of the Sioux tribes.” Both men say they’re prepared to take a bullet, rubber or otherwise, for a cause they believe should be of critical importance to any patriotic American.

“… if we’re really going to be those veterans that this country praises, well, then we need to do the things that we actually said we’re going to do…”

“This country is repressing our people,” Wood Jr. says. “If we’re going to be heroes, if we’re really going to be those veterans that this country praises, well, then we need to do the things that we actually said we’re going to do when we took the oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.”

The Standing Rock Sioux Reservation was originally established as part of the Great Sioux Reservation under Article 2 of the Treaty of Fort Laramie of April 29, 1868. In 1877, the U.S. government initiated the still ongoing process of chipping away and dividing the land it had granted to the people of the Lakota and Dakota nations, with significant reductions taking place in 1889 and then again during the 1950s and 1960s, when the Army Corps of Engineers built five large dams along the Missouri River, uprooting villages and sinking 200,000 acres of land below water.

When the Corps of Engineers returned to Standing Rock in 2015, it was to assess whether or not it should approve a path for the Dakota Access Pipeline across the Missouri River, a project that would involve construction on some of the land that had been stripped from the Sioux, who still regard it as sacred — although, that fact seems to have been ignored, maybe even intentionally, in the assessment.

Because the Corps neglected to consult the Standing Rock Sioux, as it was required to do under the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106), the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Interior, and the American Council on Historic Preservation all criticized the assessment, but the project was eventually approved. The decision was a major victory for Energy Transfer Partners, the Texas-based parent company of Dakota Access LLC, which estimates the pipeline will bring $156 million in sales and income taxes to state and local governments and create thousands of temporary jobs.

For the Standing Rock Sioux, the Dakota Access project poses two immediate threats. First, the pipeline would run beneath Lake Oahe, the reservoir that provides drinking water to the people of Standing Rock. (An earlier route that avoided native lands was ruled out in part because it posed a danger to drinking water.) Second, according to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, the building of the pipeline would destroy the sacred spots and burial grounds that were overlooked in the Corps’ assessment. But as the protests have intensified, and more outsiders, including members of more than 200 Native American tribes from across North America, have become involved, Standing Rock has, for some, come to represent something much bigger than a struggle between a disenfranchised people and a government-backed, billion-dollar corporation. It’s a battle to save humanity from itself.

“Mother Earth’s axis is off and it’s never going back,” says Phyllis Young, a Sioux tribal elder. “And we have to help keep it in balance for as long as we can. I am a mother and a grandmother. Those are my credentials to ensure a future with clean drinking water — a future of human dignity, human rights, and human survival.”

A Dakota Access pipeline protester defies law enforcement officers who are trying to force them from a camp on private land in the path of pipeline construction, Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 near Cannon Ball, ND. Soldiers and law enforcement officers dressed in riot gear began arresting protesters who had set up a camp on private land to block construction of the Dakota Access oil pipeline.

Young grew up on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. She has been present at many of the protests and says she’s seen people brutalized at the hands of the security contractors and law enforcement officials guarding the land where the drilling is set to take place. It was Young who got Clark Jr involved. In late summer, she was in Washington, D.C., lobbying for the military to promote an alternative (and scientifically dubious) clean energy source called low-energy nuclear reaction, when she heard of a military veteran who was a forceful advocate for environmental conservation. Clark Jr. was eager to help. He spent weeks trying to assemble a legal team for the Standing Rock Sioux, and even contacted Independent Diplomat, a nonprofit organization that helps governments navigate complex diplomatic processes. “I pulled all of the levers, and none of them worked,” Clark Jr. recalls. Then, in early November, the plan dawned on him: He’d bring his fellow veterans. Lots of them. And they’d come prepared to put their lives on the line.

“We’re not going out there to get in a fight with anyone,” Clark Jr. says. “They can feel free to beat us up, but we’re 100% nonviolence.”

You may have heard of Clark Jr.’s father. Wesley Clark Sr. retired from the Army in 2000 as a four-star general. His career began in the jungles of Vietnam, where he was shot four times during an enemy ambush near Saigon, and culminated in a posting as Supreme Allied Commander Europe during the Kosovo War. In 2004, he ran for the Democratic Party presidential nomination on platform that criticized the Iraq War and called for measures to combat climate change. Clark Jr., who was born in Florida while Clark Sr. was in Vietnam and grew up on military bases throughout the United States and Europe, seems to have inherited both his father’s commanding spirit and his progressive ideals.

Wes Clark Jr. on The Young Turks.

Clark Jr. had just graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service when he joined the Army as a cavalry officer. He served on active duty from 1992–1996 —  “nothing dangerous,” he says. On Sept. 11, 2001, he was living in New York City, and after seeing the towers fall, he decided to re-enlist. “I was like, ‘I’m going back in. I’m going to go in there and fuck people up,’” he recalls. It was Clark Sr., the decorated war hero, who convinced him not to. As Clark Jr. recalls, his father foresaw U.S. military intervention in Iraq and warned that as a soldier he would be fighting a war that had nothing to do with defeating al Qaeda. “He was right, but I’ll tell you, I’ve never felt worse about a decision in my life,” Clark Jr. says.

Clark Jr. may never have served in combat, but when he talks about Standing Rock, he sounds like a battle-hardened general. This isn’t his first foray into boots-on-the-ground environmental activism. He’s currently working with an organization called Climate Mobilization, which is focused on “building and supporting a social movement that causes the US federal government to commence WWII-scale climate mobilization.” But he’s perhaps best known as a co-host of the political web series The Young Turks. On the The Young Turks website, Clark Jr. is described as an Army veteran “currently trying to save human civilization from climate change.” The impending confrontation at Standing Rock, he says, will be “the most important event up to this time in human history.”

“We’re not going out there to get in a fight with anyone. They can feel free to beat us up, but we’re 100% nonviolence.”

Vets Standing For Standing Rock was announced via an official sounding letter formatted like a five-paragraph military operation order, breaking down the “opposing forces” — “Morton County Sheriff’s office combined with multiple state police agencies and private security contractors” — “Mission,” “Execution” and “Logistics,” among other things. A packing list virtually mirrors the ones issued to soldiers preparing to deploy to the field (minus the weapons). But there are also parts of the document that read like a revolutionary manifesto. Under the section titled “Friendly Forces,” for example, the op order states, “we are there to put our bodies on the line, no matter the physical cost, in complete nonviolence to provide a clear representation to all Americans of where evil resides.”

The document was accompanied by a link to a GoFundMe campaign that has raised nearly $20,000 of its $100,000 goal since it was created on Nov. 11. The money, Clark Jr. says, will only be used for helping volunteers with transportation costs and then bailing those who are arrested out of jail.

Wood Jr. says the op-order was Clark Jr.’s idea, but the two men agree that organizing like a military unit is the smartest approach, especially because most of the people expected to join them on the ground have served.

“It’s simple and we have clearly defined goals, so people don’t get caught up in the confusion,” says Wood Jr., who served with the Baltimore Police Department for more than a decade. “One of the issues the police are going to face is that our level of planning and coordination is vastly superior to theirs, so they may end up with a problem when it comes to that.”

“We’ll have those people who will recognize that they’re not willing to take a bullet, and those who recognize that they are.”

Here then is the plan: On Dec. 4, Clark Jr. and Wood Jr., along with a group of veterans and other folks in the “bravery business,” as Wood Jr. puts it — 500 total is the goal, but they’re hoping for more — will muster at Standing Rock. The following morning they will join members of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, including Young, for a traditional healing ceremony. With an eye toward the media, old military uniforms will be donned so that if the veterans are brutalized by the police, they are brutalized not as ordinary citizens, but as people who once served the government they are protesting against. Then body armor, ear plugs, and gas masks will be issued to those who didn’t bring their own. Bagpipes will play, and traditional Sioux war songs will be sung. The music will continue as everyone marches together to the banks of the Missouri, on the other side of which a line of guards in riot gear will be standing ready with rifles, mace, batons, and dogs. Then, the veterans and their allies — or at least the ones who are brave enough — will lock arms and cross the river in a “massive line” for their “first encounter” with the “opposing forces.” The goal is to make it to the drilling pad and surround it, arm in arm. That will require making it through the line of guards, who have repelled other such attempts with a level of physical force Sioux tribal members and protesters have described as “excessive” — claims that recently prompted a United Nations investigation. Of course, that’s what the body armor and gas masks are for.

“We’ll have those people who will recognize that they’re not willing to take a bullet, and those who recognize that they are,” says Wood Jr. “It’s okay if some of them step back, but Wes and I have no intention of doing so.”

Michael A. Wood Jr.

Of course, as most veterans know full well, even the best plans go out the window the moment the shit hits the fan. It seems probable that the group will be met by fierce resistance from those charged with keeping people out of the construction site. Despite a recent decision by the Corps of Engineers to delay further work on the pipeline, Energy Transfer Partners is still hoping to complete the project by January. The segment that will cross beneath the Missouri at Standing Rock is the last major piece of the puzzle. Strengthening the resolve of the company’s executives is the fact that Energy Transfer Partners CEO Kelcy Warren donated more than $100,000 to elect Donald Trump, and Trump himself owns stock in the company. “I’m 100% sure that the pipeline will be approved by a Trump administration,” Warren told NBC News on Nov. 12.

Nonetheless, Clark Jr. and Wood Jr. remain undeterred. If anything, the likelihood of approval only makes them more determined. After all, this is war.

“The Joint Chiefs of Staff labeled the climate emergency as the number one security threat to the country, and they’ve been labeling it that for years,” Clark Jr. says. “All you need to do is put an overlay on any map in the world where there’s a water and crisis and you’re going to see massive political violence in that location. And unless we act, we’re going to be dealing with that exact same situation right here in the United States.”

Charlotte NC Police Chief Must Be Overridden And Or Fired Right Now!

The Chief of Police in Charlotte North Carolina said earlier today that the dash cam video of a Charlotte Police Officer shooting and killing a local resident will not ever be released to the public. His reason given was that the victims last moments should not be shared with the world saying that the victim deserves better than that. He may well feel that way but as a ‘public servant’ he does not have that right. The Police Departments around our Country are supposed to be ‘public servants’ meaning they are in subjection to the people who pay their salaries. There have been two nights of violence in Charlotte because of this shooting. If the Chief of Police refuses to release that video for the purpose of showing the public that the Officer who shot that man is telling the truth and that the witnesses are the ones lying, the Mayor of Charlotte must order him to release it today, or fire him. If the Mayor refuses to force the release of the video then she must be removed from office asap. The different Government Agencies have taken rights/authorities that they do not legally/Constitutionally have. Every single Police Department in this Country must be made to release these videos within no more than 24 hours. There is a reason that there are now such things as dash-cams and body cameras being required on Police Officers and that is because way to often Police Officers have been caught being the criminals and then lying about everything they said happened. The Rodney King incident being the wake-up call to the politicians and the Police. To the Charlotte Chief of Police: the public for very good reasons do not believe you, until you release those videos to the public to prove other wise, you are the liar and you are complicit to murder until the videos prove other wise. So, Sir, do your job or get the hell out of that uniform because of right now, you are disgracing it until you release those videos! When Police are telling the truth they should be anxious to show the public that they are telling the truth. When you decide to do a ‘cover up’ the public is always going to consider you to be the liar and in a case like this, the murderers. Mr. Police Chief, prove the truth because as of right now you have no credibility at all! When a Department doesn’t release the videos they are in fact proving that it is the Police that are lying, that it is the Police that have committed murder. All Police Officers should want the videos released asap to prove their innocence and to help end any violent crimes in protest. Mayor, show that you have credibility, force your Chief to release the videos, or fire him right now!

Suicide Bomber Strikes Chinese Embassy: Kills Only Himself

(This article is courtesy of the Shanghai Daily News Paper)

Suicide bomb hits Chinese embassy

A suicide car bomber rammed the gates of the Chinese embassy in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek yesterday, killing the attacker and wounding at least three other people.

Officials from both countries described the assault as a terrorist act, and Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev ordered the government to take extra counter-terrorism measures in the capital and regions, his office said in statement.

China condemned the attack and urged Kyrgyz authorities to “quickly investigate and determine the real situation behind the incident.”

“China is deeply shocked by this and strongly condemns this violent and extreme act,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a regular news briefing in Beijing.

Hua said China strongly condemned the terrorist attack and said terrorism was “a public enemy of the international community,” as well as the most serious threat in the region.

The spokeswoman said China was ready to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan and other countries in the region to fight terrorism and maintain regional safety and stability.

Stressing that China opposes terrorism in any form, Hua said China would continue to ensure the safety of the Chinese people and institutions in other countries.

A Kyrgyz Interior Ministry spokesman said the car exploded inside the compound. Police cordoned off the embassy and adjacent area, and the GKNB state security service were investigating the bombing that occurred at about 10am.

Three embassy staff suffered minor injuries and had been taken to hospital, but no organization claimed responsibility.

At 9:32am, the explosive-laden van started ramming the embassy door and crashed into the compound. The driver immediately detonated the explosive device packed in the van, causing a powerful explosion.

“As a result of the explosion, only the suicide bomber terrorist died. Security guards were injured,” Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov told reporters.

The wounded have suffered minor injuries, and are currently being treated at the hospital. The bomber was blown into pieces, and local police are trying to identify the assailant using DNA extracted from remains of the attacker.

The explosion also caused damage to the embassy’s east door and walls, as well as buildings next to the Chinese embassy.

The embassy compound and the area in the vicinity are currently under police blockade. Bomb disposal experts are working on the scene.

Authorities in Kyrgyzstan, a mostly Muslim former Soviet republic of 6 million people, routinely detain suspected militants linked to Islamic State, which actively recruits from Central Asia.

A Turkish official said in June that one of three Islamic State suicide bombers involved in the deadly attack on Istanbul’s main airport was a Kyrgyz national.

Attacks on Chinese missions abroad are rare but in 2015, an Islamist militant attack on a hotel in Mali killed three Chinese citizens, and in Pakistan, Chinese workers have occasionally been targeted by what police say are nationalists opposed to China’s plan to invest tens of billions of dollars in a new trade route to the Arabian Sea.
