It is no different when people desire emotional or physical healing. One of the most popular Bible phrases that people reference to when sick or going through other struggles is “By His stripes we are healed” found in Isaiah 53:5. In keeping with the theme of healing, we have compiled a list of Bible scriptures on healing. We desire that you will find comfort in the word of God as you seek for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. READ ALSO: Comforting Bible verses The Bible has various accounts where Jesus healed the sick, broken, and wounded. The teaching that is constant in all of the healing stories in the Bible is faith. So, as a Christian, you should live with the assurance that God can see you through any challenge including sicknesses. Below are some Bible scriptures on healing that may be beneficial even as you seek to draw nearer to God. 31 scriptures on healing Bible scriptures on healing can serve as a source of encouragement when you are going through physical, emotional, or spiritual pain. Scriptures on healing sicknesses 1. Exodus 15:26 English Standard Version Saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in His eyes, and give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.” The Lord asked the Israelites to diligently listen to what He had commanded them and do what is right by Him. In return, the Lord would look after them and not expose them to diseases like those that Egyptians had suffered. Likewise, as a Christian, it is essential that you keep the Lord’s commandments and teachings at heart as God preserves both your body and soul. When you are sick or wounded the Lord heals you. This verse is found in the Old Testament. 2. James 5: 14-15 King James Version Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if they have committed sins, they shall be forgiven. In the New Testament, James encourages Christians to pray in faith at all times even when sick. In this verse, James affirms the power of believers praying together by asking the sick to go to the elders for prayers. Further, this verse shows that repentance through prayer is effective. 3. Jeremiah 33: 6 King James version Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. God’s promise to His people in the Old Testament is that He would give them health, cure them, and give them peace and truth. This promise came to pass when God sent Jesus Christ who not only healed the sick, but also enabled believers to enjoy peace and grace through the sacrifice on the cross. 4. Jeremiah 30:17 KJV For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. This Old Testament verse talks about God’s promise to Israel to restore health and heal wounds. Similarly, as God’s chosen people, He provides the grace and deliverance from physical and spiritual pain. So, no matter what others call you, the Lord can still restore your health and heal you. 5. Exodus 23:25 King James version And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. As the Israelites were going through the wilderness, God promised to provide food and water and take away sicknesses. Today, God still walks with believers through the ups and downs of life and heals diseases. Remember that you will only reap kingdom benefits if you serve the Lord and follow His commandments. 6. Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. God is the all-knowing for He gives and takes life and heals our wounds and diseases. Through Christ, the great physician, Christians can see the power of God. Apart from curing our disease, He makes our spirit alive through His grace. Without Him, we are dead in spirit, and our life is empty. 7. Matthew 10:1 And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matthew, the inaugural book in the New Testament teaches about our Messiah who has the power to heal all diseases and cast out spirits. Jesus conferred the same power to His disciples. 8. Luke 10:9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Like Matthew, the third book of the New Testament gives an account of the teachings and works of Christ. In Luke chapter 10 Jesus tells the seventy-two disciples to go out and preach the gospel and cure the sick for the kingdom of God is near. Today, Christians can also go out find the broken and sick and heal them through prayers. 9. Psalms 103: 2-3 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; The book of Psalms is between the Books of Proverbs and Job. Chapter 103 of Psalms encourages believers to praise the Lord and not to forget all that He has done including forgiving sins and healing all diseases. 10. Mark 5: 34 And He said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague. The 5th chapter of the second book of the New Testament teaches you how faith in the Lord can heal your sickness or wounds. 11. Proverbs 3: 5-8 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. These verses teach believers to depend on God and not human understanding or wisdom. While at it, Christians should fear the Lord and acknowledge Him as He is the provider of perfect health 12. Psalms 41:3 The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. This verse shows that even when we are sick, weak, or wounded, God, through His grace and mercy, comforts us. As such, in the midst of challenges (illness), we shall survive for God strengthens us. 13. Matthew 4:23-24 And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. 24 So His fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and He healed them. Matthew 4 verse 23 provides another account of when Jesus showed He is the great physician by healing those who were physically and spiritually sick. Bible scriptures on healing the heart, brokenness, and spiritual emptiness 14. Matthew 11: 28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 reassures Jesus call to all those who are burdened to find rest in His arms. This scripture applies to all who have been weighed down emotionally by the things of this earth. 15. Psalms 34: 17-20 ESV When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. The primary teaching from Psalms 34:17-20 is that God protects believers who diligently serve Him and follow His commands. God also saves those who have a contrite spirit and are brokenhearted. When you are righteous, no matter what comes your way, God will deliver you. 16. Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength. Isaiah 40:29 reinforces the teaching that when you are weak, God shows His strength and gives us the power to keep going. 17. Isaiah 57:18-19 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him. Even when the people of God wander away, He is merciful enough to forgive and heal their souls if they turn away from sinful ways. Also, He will comfort and heal all those who mourn for God’s peoples’ suffering and sins. 18. Psalms 107: 19-21 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their distresses. He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! This verse teaches that when believers humble themselves, repent, and cry out to the Lord, He saves and delivers all from destruction and sicknesses. 19. Psalms 6:2 King James version Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. We serve a merciful and just God. Like David, if we can humble ourselves, acknowledge our weaknesses and sin, and cry out to God, He will surely heal our wounds and brokenness. 20. Psalms 147: 1-3 ESV Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant,[a] and a song of praise is fitting. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. This Psalm reminds Christians of our duty to praise the Lord for all He has done. God takes care of His people as He did with Jerusalem. When we wander away from God, He finds a way to bring us closer to Him. Moreover, the Lord offers comfort for all the wounded and brokenhearted believers. 21. Psalms 30:10-11 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper!” You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness. Like David, believers can fall or be overwhelmed by the things of this world. For this reason, we cry out to God to hold our hands and be merciful. The Psalm shows that God can restore joy and peace for His people even after mourning or a bad experience. 22. Jeremiah 17: 14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. Jeremiah calls out to the Lord to heal him of his iniquities, wounds, or sickness. He was aware of the sins of the people against God at the time. Knowing that he could confidently call unto God to heal and save him, Jeremiah seeks God and also acknowledges God for His goodness. 23. Psalms 73: 25-26 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength[a] of my heart and my portion forever. The Psalmist acknowledges that besides God, there is no other thing on earth (including earthly wealth) that can fulfill him or give the satisfaction he needs. Therefore, even though we may stumble or fall to our desires we should always turn to God for He alone can strengthen and comfort our hearts. 24. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Before Jesus ascended into heaven after resurrection, He gave believers peace as an inheritance. It is this peace that enables us to weather storms and the ups and downs of life. For we know that we can trust in Him to take care of whatever is troubling us. Further, what Lord gives is different from what this world provides as comfort for the heart and soul. 25. Proverbs 17: 22 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones A cheerful heart has a similar effect to your health and body as good medicine. However, a crushed spirit makes your life sad. Therefore, the verse encourages us always to have a joyful heart as it is the secret to enjoying life and living in the fullness of His glory. 26. Revelations 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Christians live with the assurance that the Lord can take away all the pain, mourning, fear of death and tears. As such, no matter what happens in the past, believers know that they are a new creation. 27. Isaiah 53:5 King James Version But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Even though most people use this verse to refer to physical healing, it mostly speaks about the sacrifice of Christ. Through Christ, we are free from our transgressions and guilt. In return, believers receive the gift of peace and reconciliation with our Lord. 28. 1 Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. Like Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24 talks about Jesus’ sacrifice so that we may live in righteousness. 29. 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. God had made a covenant with the Israelites that if they would repent, pray, follow His commands and seek Him, He would bless them and heal their land. Today, most people interpret this verse to mean that if believers would repent, pray, and humble themselves, God would bless and heal their land. 30. Isaiah 33:2 O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble. This verse shows that with faith you can call unto the Lord and wait for Him to comfort and heal you in times of trouble. 31. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 speaks about the different seasons in life including periods of mourning and healing. So, whatever season you may be in trust the Lord for He can turn your mourning into dancing. Are there any funny jokes in the Bible?

ABRAHAM AND SARAH

The Bible is surprisingly full of humorous episodes that can make one chuckle or even laugh out loud.

The book of Proverbs is full of wisdom, including this profound insight on the value of humor, “A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22). While many see the Bible as a dry book of theological stories, it contains a good deal of humor in it, though not always what we would expect living in the modern world.

One of the first “jokes” God pulled was in the book of Genesis. When visiting Abraham and Sarah, God said to the elderly couple (well passed child-bearing years), “I will bless [Sarah], and moreover I will give you a son by her; I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall come from her” (Genesis 17:16).

Abraham couldn’t keep himself contained, “Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said to himself, ‘Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?’” (Genesis 17:17)

Sarah had a similar reaction to the news, “Sarah laughed to herself, saying, ‘After I have grown old, and my husband is old, shall I have pleasure?’” (Genesis 18:12) God caught her laughing, but “Sarah denied, saying, ‘I did not laugh’; for she was afraid. He said, ‘No, but you did laugh’” (Genesis 18:15). You can’t pull a fast one on God!

God had the “last laugh” as the name of their son became Isaac, for Sarah said, “God has made laughter for me; every one who hears will laugh over me” (Genesis 21:6). In Hebrew, Isaac means “he will laugh.”

Another humorous episode happened in the book of Numbers, when the People of Israel were complaining in the desert. They called out like a petulant child, “O that we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt for nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic, but now our strength is dried up, and there is nothing at all but this manna to look at” (Numbers 11:4-6).

God responded by saying, the “Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat. You shall not eat one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days, but a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils” (Numbers 11:19-20). He gave them quail that covered the earth, three feet deep! You wanted meat? Here you go!

In the book of Kings, Elijah is having a “Battle Royale” with some pagan priests and taunts them by saying, “Call louder, for he is a god; he may be busy doing his business, or may be on a journey. Perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened.” (1 Kings 18:27). Some translations make “doing his business” more explicit by translating it as, “relieving himself.” This is in accord with the original Hebrew and so Elijah is taunting them by saying their god might be busy going to the bathroom!

These and other events in the Old and New Testaments reveal a lighter side to Christianity, showing that even God has a sense of humor and that “A cheerful heart is a good medicine.”

Ten Quick King Solomon Proverbs To Lighten Our Day

Ten Quick King Solomon Proverbs To Lighten Our Day

(PERSONALLY I BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE NEED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER THESE WORDS EACH DAY) (OLDPOET56)

This is ten of King Solomon’s proverbs and shouldn’t take more than about two moments of your time. The dictionary says a proverb is a profound saying, maxim, or oracular utterance requiring interpretation.

  1. A just man walks in his integrity and his children that come after him shall be blessed because of his actions.
  2. Even a child is known by their actions whether they are pure and whether they are correct.
  3. The spirit of a man is like a candle to the Lord who searches all our inner thoughts.
  4. It is better to live on the corner of a house-top than to live in a mansion with a hate filled woman.
  5. He that keeps his mouth shut and his tongue from wagging keeps their own soul from trouble.
  6. If you see a person who is wise in their own deceit there is more hope for a fool than for that person.
  7. Evil men do not understand judgement but they that seek the Lord understand all things.
  8. He that turns away their ears from the Word of God even his prayers are an abomination.
  9. Give wine to those who are of heavy hearts. Let him drink and forget his poverty and remember their misery no more.
  10. A wise person will listen and will obtain learning and a person of understanding will listen to wise counsels. To fear the Lord is the beginning of knowledge but a fool despises wisdom and instruction.

Why Jesus Had To Spill His Blood And Why He Had To Die

Why Jesus Had To Spill His Blood And Why He Had To Die

In an attempt not to turn this article into a book I am going write this to the folks who have a little knowledge of the Bible and who have a little bit of understanding about Christianity and of Moses when he returned to Egypt to free the Hebrew people from slavery. The second Book of the Old Testament is called Exodus and you will find the events of the 10 plagues that God through Moses put upon the people of Egypt in chapters 7-12. The last of these plagues was where the Angle of Death killed all of the first-born of every Egyptian family and even of all beasts in one night. These Scriptures also inform us that as long as the Hebrew households put the blood of a first year lamb or goat that was without any blemish upon both of the side post and the upper post of the doors of their homes that the Angel Of Death would ‘pass over’ them and not kill their first-born. This is where ‘the Pass Over’ got its origin. The Jewish people to this day still observe the Pass Over. The Jewish people were to observe this event each and every year in thanks to God for not taking/killing their first-born.

The Pass Over is part of ‘The Law’ (Old Testament) that the Hebrew people were to follow. Because the people of Israel spent about 1,500 human years breaking the commandment’s of God He made a New Covenant with all of man kind, not one that was just to the Jewish people, thus the ‘New Testament.’ The Son Of God came into this world in the flesh to bring in this ‘New Covenant’ but to bring in the New, the Old had to pass away. Israel’s High Priest was to go into the ‘Most Holy’ section of the Temple once a year to offer atonement for the sins of the people. With the ‘sacrifice’ of the Son Of God, ‘the First Born of God The Father’ the spilling of His blood, the Old Law passed away. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, without blemish, without sin. With His sacrifice Jesus ended the need of the yearly sacrifice of ‘the Pass Over’ and He in essence became the new High Priest of Israel and of us all. If Jesus had not done this then the Old Law, the Old Testament would still be in effect to this day, as our Jewish Brothers and Sisters of the Jewish Faith still believe that it is. If Jesus had not done this then all of us Gentiles (non-Jews) would have no chance of God’s salvation.

I am going to end this column today with 4 Scriptures that I hope you will take a few moments to read so that you can have a better understanding of the meaning and the need for the Blood of Jesus having to be spilled and why His death was needed if all of us ‘non-Jewish’ people are to have a possibility of redemption and Salvation within God’s plan.

  1. Exodus chapters 7-12
  2. Romans chapter 5 verse 9
  3. Hebrews chapter 9 verses 22-27
  4. Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6

Who Are The Two Prophets Of The Book Of Revelation?

Who Are The Two Prophets Of The Book Of Revelation?

In the last book of the Christian Bible, the book of Revelation in the 11th chapter in verses 3 through 12 we are told of two Prophets that God will send to the Earth during the first half of the “great tribulation”. This will be during the time between the sounding of the sixth and of the seven trumpets that will be sounded from Heaven. These two men will be here on Earth just outside of Jerusalem for 42 months and they will be hated by the people because of the torments they put upon the Earth. After the 42 months the Devil will kill them and their bodies will lay in the street for three and a half days and the people will rejoice because of their deaths. But after the three and a half days God will raise them up upon their feet in front of their enemies and call them back up to Heaven, shortly after there will be a great earthquake and ten percent of the city shall fall and thousands will die from it. Today I am going to speak with you about who these two Prophets are, and where they came from.

Throughout both the New and the Old Testaments all but two people died while here on the Earth. Most people can tell you about one of them, the Prophet Elijah, but do not know of the other. By the way, the name Elijah in Hebrew means “Yahweh is God”. The story of Elijah being called up to Heaven is found in the book of 2nd Kings verses 1-15, this would be in the 6th century BC., the actual verse is #11. In case a few of you are wondering, no Elijah wasn’t God. In a lot of nations and cultures people are given names that actually have a meaning, a definition, unlike white folks names here in America that have no meaning behind them.

The other man who did not die while he was upon the Earth was named Enoch, he was five generation from Adam. You can find the story of Enoch in Genesis, the first book of the Bible in the 5th chapter. Enoch lived for 65 years and then his wife gave birth to a son named Methuselah who lived longer than any recorded human, 969 years. After the birth of Methuselah Enoch lived another 300 years. In Genesis 5:24 the passage says “Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.) In the New Testament book of Luke 3:37 we are told that Methuselah was an ancestor to Christ so obviously Enoch was also. If you are wondering when in history theses events happened remember the 969 years that Methuselah lived? Noah time on Earth was after this time period.. The terms used in Genesis 6:9 are like the words spoken about Enoch in 5:24,”… Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God.” The difference here is that Noah was not taken by God, Noah continued to live and had three sons that went with him when he built the Ark. Enoch is easy to forget about because his life was so long ago and not all that much is written about him unlike the Prophet Elijah over 4000 years later.

Throughout all of recorded time of the human race all but these two people have died. Even Jesus Himself had to die while He was here in human form. Almost all of the recorded Prophets of the Old Testament were murdered as Jesus was, yet even the few who did not get murdered, except for these two, they all still died, even Moses the “friend of God, died. In the New Testament all of the Apostles except for the Apostle John were murdered, yet even John did die. John wrote the book of Revelation while on the Roman prison island of Patmos in the years of 95-96 AD. This was apx 30 yrs after the Romans executed the Apostles Paul (AD 64) and Peter (AD 68) just outside of Rome. John, Moses, and all the other devout followers of God had to suffer death, except for these two Old Testament men, Enoch and Elijah. In Revelation chapter 11 verse’s 3 and 4 it reads, (God speaking) ” And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy (preach) a thousand two hundred and three score day, (3 1/2 yrs) clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the Earth”. They came from God and they will go back to God. Could I be wrong about these two men being Elijah and Enoch? Does the Bible anywhere spell it out in plain Greek or Hebrew that it is these two? No, it doesn’t. Could I possibly be wrong about it being these two, it’s possible, but from all the information given to us in the Bible there is nothing else that comes close to making any sense. The Lord has made it very plain that He does not want His followers to be ignorant or uninformed. We are told plainly that He wants us to study the Scriptures daily so that we will know what they say.

Before I put these posts in that I write I spend a lot of time in prayer, praying for His guidance through His Spirit which indwells His believers/followers. I have spent a little over 50 years studying the Scriptures and I know that every time I read through them my eyes are opened to more knowledge from them. Did God Himself talk to me and tell me in a “voice” that these are the two Prophets of Revelation? No, but I have told you now what He has told me, and all of us, through His Scriptures. Will this one piece of information save anyone’s Soul? No, but if it will get anyone to dig into the Scriptures to try to prove me incorrect, then I have accomplished my goal. The goal of getting more folks to think and to open their Bible for the purpose of learning of God’s Word and of God’s love for us all.

Who Is The “Watchman” Of Our Soul, Anyone?

Who Is The “Watchman” Of Our Soul, Anyone?

Before I write articles to put into this blog I always have a prayer session with the Son and the Father through the Spirit of God. I know that of my own accord I am not wise enough to give any advice, I need the knowledge that the Lord’s Spirit gives to us humans when we seek it. For the Lord does not do His will in secret, nor is His word hidden from us. The Lord is the Light that no evil can stand before. Come study the word of the Lord with us. Let His love shine upon all of our hearts and let Him enlighten our Souls. The reason, I pray is that hope that none of us would be a Watchman who is found sleeping at the Lord’s return (Second Advent of Christ).

Folks, unless the Lord is the foundation and the builder of our family, the house of ones own life, then all the labor that has gone into it is in vain. Just as with the truth, that unless the Lord is the protector of your community, city, or country, the Watchman stays awake in vain. If you happen to have a Bible handy, please turn to the 3rd chapter of the book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament so that you can verify these things I am speaking with you about. Ezekiel was born in the year 622 B.C. and his name in the Hebrew language means ‘may God strengthen him’. He is the Prophet that was giving the warning to the House of Israel that God was going to destroy Jerusalem via a foreign military power if Jerusalem did not return to following God’s teachings, yet the King and the other leaders refused to listen to his warnings. Ezekiel was sent by God to be a Watchman and in the third chapter you get a very good description of the job of a Watchman.

In our society today when we hear the term Watchman we tend to think of a Security Guard. A person who is paid to watch over a factory, warehouse or an office building. Some people, some businesses, only employ a Watchman during the night-time or only on the weekends when they are closed. Other businesses with more to lose will employ Watchmen/Security, on a 24/7/365 days a year schedule. These Watchmen are hired to help the owners feel more safe, more protected from the bad folks in the world as well as for security from things like fires. These Watchmen are there to protect the property and the flesh. If a problem arises and the Watchman does not protect by sounding the alarm, when the fire is over and the smoke has cleared this Watchman, this Security Guard, is going to be in a lot of trouble. You know that the owner of the property is going to be irate because his ‘Guard’ did not do his job, he did not protect the owner’s property. Most likely this ‘Watchman’ besides losing his job is going to have to answer to the Sheriff and a Judge.

Now, speaking in a Spiritual since it is a Biblical truth that to whom much is given, much is required of them by God Himself. To those whom knowledge is given it is required of them to be a mouthpiece and a light for those who are living in darkness regarding what Spiritual truth is. If you are a leader in a Church, a Deacon, Elder, or Pastor, much is required of you. These positions in the Church are not just positions created by a man or woman so that they/you can receive glory or praise from mankind! These are positions of responsibility and accountability from God Himself! If you hold one of these positions you are a Watchman of God’s Bride, the Church. If the Bride is unfaithful and unclean at the return of the Groom which is Jesus Himself, I would not want to be you. You need to understand that the blood of the Lost Sheep which is the members of the Congregation, the Church, The Bride, will be upon your hands. You are the Watchman that was anointed by God and you are accountable to God for those people’s Souls. To he whom much is given, much is required of you.

I do have a few more things that I would like to speak with you about. If you are a Christian the Holy Spirit of God indwells within you, He is The Comforter of the Christian person. It is true that the Spirit is willing but that human flesh is weak. For many people it is difficult to be a witness for Jesus in our daily lives yet in reality we all do it every day. Do you find yourself thinking now wait a minute, what are you talking about? Friends the answer to this is very simple, all Christians are Watchmen for the Lord. Have I confused you yet? Okay, let me break this down and make it more plain for all of us to understand.

Even if we are not leaders within a Congregation we are all still Watchmen for God. Are you a member of a family? Do you have a spouse of children at you home? Do you have any extended blood family that doesn’t live in your home? Do you even know who your neighbors are, or, do you have any coworkers at your place of employment? Here is a truth for all of us, if we are a Christian we are a light of God. You are one of God’s Watchmen! If we take our God-given talents and hide them in the sand how is it that we think that Jesus won’t be mad at us upon His return? I am not speaking of gold or silver, I am not speaking of human material talent or treasure that you are in danger of losing, I am speaking about your Soul.

We are all a light for God, we are all Watchmen over the lives and Souls of those we are in contact with. Even if we say nothing to a person our ‘Light’ should draw people’s attention, and it does. What I mean by this is simple, Christians should always, everyday be doing their very best to walk our lives after the heart and face of Jesus Christ. By our living examples we should standout from the ways of the world. If we do not by our examples witness to the world around us positively then we are still witnessing about our own lack of faith. The people around us still see our Light even if that Light is being hidden under a facade. When these people around us die and go to their personal judgement at the feet of Christ and they get condemned to Hell do you really think that their blood will not be laid upon you at your judgement?

When we are all at the Judgement Seat of Christ after we die we are all going to be questioned about everything that we have ever done, or not done. Will the blood of all of our family members, friends and loved ones be poured out upon our head? Do we really care about anyone other than our own selves? We will all be questioned about the people that we have come in contact with during our lives as to why we did or did not shine a true Christian Light to guide these folks to the salvation Jesus Christ offers us all. What kind of example are we setting? What kind of Watchman are we? What kind of Light and Servant of God are we? Folks when we stand before the Lord Jesus at our own judgement only the pure and total truth we will hear, but will the truth save us, or condemn us?

The Yokes That Are Laid Upon All Of Us

The Yokes That Are Laid Upon All Of Us

Tonight I am going to write this article to you about and of the word yoke. I am going to speak to you of the literal and of the spiritual forms of this word. In Mr. Websters Dictionary you find the definition written as “A wooden bar put across the necks of two animals to hold them together to plow. A bond or tie, to put on a yoke, to couple, unite.” In my King James version (KJV) of the Bible, in its index the word yoke is used figuratively in a few places also. There are seven examples given that I would like to touch on. In the book of Deuteronomy 28:47-49 God spoke to the people of Israel through His servant Moses because they had refused to follow the commandments that God had already given them. Please consider God’s words to the people of Israel. “Because you have not served the Lord your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all your things. Therefore you shall serve your enemies which I shall send against you. I shall send a nation against you. You shall be hungry and thirsty and naked and in want of all things: And he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck until he has destroyed you. I shall bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as an eagle fly’s: A nation whose language you will not understand.”  Now, readers if you do not believe that the Lord is capable of anger and fury upon the nation of Israel who are ‘His chosen people’ then please read on through verse 63. If you can picture these horrific conditions in your mind’s eye. For those of you whom do not believe that God would pour out His wrath upon His creatures that He has made simply do not know what the Scriptures say, or they simply do not choose to believe that the Bible is God’s word. Please read, learn and understand your Creator a little better. Ignorance is not beautiful and ignorance will cost you your own life twice.

In the book of First Kings 12: 4-14 you find another type of yoke, the type that a King or government can put upon their own people and some of the consequences there of. After the death of King Solomon who was the son of King David had died his son Rehoboam was made King of Israel. The people of Israel came to their new king and asked that the physical and financial burden be lightened from that which his dad had placed upon them. The new king consulted with the older men whom had been consultants for his dad and they told him that it would be a good idea to listen to the people and lighten his yoke upon them. Unfortunately the new king also consulted his friends that he grew up with and they told him that he should instead greatly increase their burdens. When the people came back to hear what the king had to say they were told the un-wisdom of his young friends. The people then told the king that they would no longer have anything to do with the ‘House of David’ and left. Jerusalem is located in the tribal land of Judah which is in southern Israel so the ten northern tribes removed themselves from the alliance with the only other of the twelve tribes staying loyal to the new king was the tribe of Benjamin. Cause and effect folks, for each action there tends to be a reaction. In the book of Jeremiah 27:8 you see the term yoke used in regard to one Nation upon another Nation because of them not following the Lords will.

In the book of Lamentations 1: 12-19 you see where the Lord laid a horrible yoke upon Judah and Jerusalem because they had turned their back on the Lord and His commandments and chose instead to serve sin. In a very real sense the Bible is a history book for all people to learn from because if we do not learn from our ignorance and stupidity, we do tend to repeat those errors again and again. We humans refuse to learn then we sit and wonder why our Lord is allowing us to be treated so badly. This is a truth that isn’t exclusive to 3,000 years ago, if we choose to act evil and stupid God does place burdens upon us today that if we preformed our lives in a more Godly manner we would not be having to face. If a father or mother will not chasten and correct their own child then they do not love the child.

In Galatians 5: 1 the Apostle Paul wrote “stand fast therefore in the liberty wherein Christ has made us free and do not get entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” You see, the Old Testament is the ‘old law’ to the house of Israel. This Law is of the commandment’s that the people of Israel had to obey just like what a government or police agency does today. A person before the time of the resurrection of Christ could be saved from Hell’s fire and torment if they simply obeyed the commandments so in a sense, he could save himself as long as he did as told. In the first century A.D. the Christian religion was against the law of the Roman Empire and because they were being drug out of their homes and killed there were many of the Jewish converts that wanted to go back to the old law so that they would not be killed by the Jewish authorities and the Romans. Paul was telling them that they could not go back to the old ‘yoke’ of Judaism and still be saved from the second death which is Hell, the separation from God is the second death. We are all saved by the law of the Grace of God since Christ arose from the dead. Just obeying the commandment’s of God is not enough any longer because if we do not love God and have faith in Him, we are dead already.

During the ‘Old Law’ the Hebrew people were forbidden to marry outside the ‘House of Israel’. In the book of 2nd Corinthians 6: 14 the Apostle Paul spoke of the yoke of hardship that is placed upon a Christian who marries outside the Christian faith but he nor God disallowed it any longer. We are also told that if you are married to a non-Christian and that person chooses to leave you to just let them go. This is their sin and their sin is not going to be held against you but we are all commanded to act in a Christian manner in our marriage even when we are not married to a Christian.

I am going to close this article this evening with something that I have never done in any of my articles before. These words you will be able to find in the book of Matthew 11: 28-30. These are words from Jesus/Yahshua (the Hebrew translation) to everyone whom would ever be on Earth from that moment forward. “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your Souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” With these words, the words of the Savior of the whole world, our Lord and your Lord Jesus Christ, I bid you goodnight.

Ohio Family Of 8 Are Dead Because Of Ignorant/Evil Marijuana Laws?

Ohio Family Of 8 Are Dead Because Of Ignorant/Evil Marijuana Laws?

(I WROTE THIS ARTICLE IN APRIL OF 2016 AND VERY LITTLE HAS CHANGES, EXCEPT FOR THE WORSE)

Most everyone in the whole world that has ever heard of the United States has heard of and or felt the pure evil of the American governments ‘WAR ON DRUGS”. Here in the States when the federal government decided to “crack down” on the American people’s use of “pot” they created criminal organizations that has cost the lives of thousands of people not just here in the States but throughout the ‘Americas’, North and South. Before this evil that the Federal Government has forced upon the populace’s here in America far more people smoked pot, but drank a lot less alcohol. Many people who I know who used to smoke pot did not drink at all or at most just an occasional beer. Once companies started being ordered to do pre-hire drug test and random drug tests of their employees people quit smoking God’s given gift to the human race. You see pot stays in a person’s body for about 30 days so people not wanting to lose their jobs, homes, vehicles, and children turned to drinking a lot of alcohol which just turns people violent. Plus, there is the fact that pain pills, cocaine, crack and acid only stay in a person’s system about three days. So this war on pot has directly caused a major increase in the use of these much harder drugs. This has given criminal gangs a bigger market for their narcotics that would not exist if not for ignorant American politicians. When people smoke pot, they don’t want to fight or kill, the same is the opposite when people drink too much  booze. Think of the Indian tribes of old, do you remember them smoking ‘peace pipes’ with the Generals of the Pony Soldiers? You smoke pot, you don’t then go do violence. Pot mellows people, it does not jack people up and make them want to be violent. Even in the Old Testament a flower called Mandrake was condoned by the founding fathers of Israel for personal use and Mandrake is a stronger version of pot. Those whom want to out law pot are either doing so out of ignorance, stupidity, hypocrisy, or, because they are making a lot of money condoning other things and don’t want the competition.

There is also the absolute fact that thousands would be alive now in Mexico if the American politicians had never made pot illegal. In Mexico the American government created a venue for the creation of these murderous gangs. Mexico used to have a horrible economy, it is getting some better now, but in a sense our government created jobs for some of the people in Mexico and South America, just not the kind of jobs our politicians envisioned, because of their lack of vision. I have spoken with many people who have moved to the United States because of the violence and lack of jobs in their home land. We want to talk about our porous southern border yet it is our policies that cause many thousands to need to come here for work and for safety as they are trying to get away from the violence and poverty of their homelands. Most all of these transplanted people who I have spoken with have told me they would much rather be in their own country but their families are starving and they are trying to escape the violence, this is why they have brought their families here. The American police agencies also know very well that there are now many thousands of gang members from Mexico and other Southern Nations that are now here in America pushing drugs and violence. We helped create these monsters with our nations ignorant drug policies. If pot were made legal as if it were alcohol we would be bankrupting many of these violent gangs both here in the States and in Mexico and other southern Nations.

I am a service connected disabled veteran who has a lot of nerve pain from a lightning strike. I have been taking the highest levels of Gabapentin that the law allows for the nerve pain for many years now. If I miss a couple of doses I soon know that I missed them by the increase in the pain. It is not a narcotic, I used to be given Morphine 2 times a day and Hydrocodone 4x a day for pain. Problem is narcotics do not help with nerve pain but if you have pot in your system at all the VA doctors will cold turkey a person off of all their pain meds which can easily kill people but the VA obviously does not care about that issue. I, just like millions of other vets know that pot short circuits the pain signals from the injured areas to the brain, this gives relief that narcotics can’t do. I stopped the narcotics years ago telling the VA I was going to use pot instead because of the simple fact that although the narcotics does help with all the other injuries the fact still remains that the nerve pain hurts more than the other physical pains. I am a heart patient with a very bad heart and when you are living in a lot of pain everyday the pain causes a lot of unnecessary strain on the heart but the Federal Government does not give a damn. This is the kind of issues that makes the Federal Government the enemy of millions of injured vets. The Feds know that pot is an excellent God-given herb for pain and relaxation but what does facts have to do with Government policies and of course there is the issue of the many millions of dollars that huge pharmaceutical companies give to politicians to keep their pain pills flowing and to keep marijuana illegal. Now days, in this past year the VA has made gabapentin a class one drug so if you have pot in your system they will cold turkey you off of your nerve pain medication too.  Literally this would most likely kill me so I have to make sure not to even be around people who are smoking marijuana.

Now I will quit my rambling and get back to the point of the title of this post, the senseless murders of those eight family members in the state of Ohio. These people had a pot growing operation going on at three of those four locations and it is believed that is why they were all murdered. Whichever reason the shooters had for what they did whether they were rivals who didn’t want the competition or they just wanted to steal their product, if pot were legal and treated like beer or wine for tax purposes, these eight people would still be alive today. So, I guess it is fair to say that the Federal Government is co-murderers of these and thousands of other people every year. If pot were legal in Ohio (Governor John Kasich) where people could grow their own for their own use, none of this would have happened. So, is Governor Kasich guilty of murder? Is President Obama guilty of these murders also? There is a strong case to say yes on both of these issues. Pot does not cure nerve pain or any other type of pain but neither does any of the narcotics, they only block pain receptors from getting to the brain. Pot, just like other God-given medications do not kill people, but the pain pills kill people everyday. Yet it is the government that pushes narcotics that are man-made upon people causing addictions and thousands of over doses every year. Also, when bad folks find out that you as a disabled veteran that is getting pain meds through the mail every month that makes these same veterans a target for being robbed and or murdered. These eight people in Ohio are just like thousands of other people nation wide and world-wide, they would be alive today if it were not for the hypocrisy of the American politicians.

Revelation: The Great Whore Of Babylon: THE Anti-Christ: Here Are Some Answers

Revelation: The Great Whore Of Babylon: THE Anti-Christ: Here Are Some Answers

I grew up in a small town in northern Illinois and attended the local Church of Christ. This was from age ten to age eighteen when I moved away. The local church tended to have total attendance of about 100-140 with probably about 60 of those being the adults.  This was also back before people had home or work computers to use for finding out information. This Church of Christ always stated that they are a ‘New Testament’ church so they basically ignored almost all of the Old Testament yet they also ignored the last book of the New Testament, the book of Revelation. I was told several times by the local church leaders (Elders and Deacons) that they just didn’t understand it so they left it alone also stating that man kind just wasn’t meant to understand the mysteries of that Book. At 18 I quit attending the Church of Christ and started digging even deeper into the Bible and Christian religions and even more so into non-Christian religions. I am a person that wanted to know what the meanings of things were so I have spent the last fifty years praying and studying religions so I could know what the Holy Spirit inspired writers of the Bible meant by the things they wrote. I am also a big fan of historical information from around our world. This information I am about to give to you is from these results. I hope you will study and consider these answers I give you. To the best of my personal knowledge these things I write to you are simply Bible Truth.

If you have a Bible handy or for the purpose of later study, the Scriptures I am going to be discussing with you can be found in the Book of Revelation in chapters 17 and 18. In the first chapter of Revelation we are given the knowledge that John (the writer) was on the island of Patmos in the eastern Mediterranean Sea as a prisoner of the Roman Empire. John ‘the Elder’ was on this island jail because of his teachings of Christianity and of Jesus Christ. Jesus in a Spiritual form visited John and told him to write this book  and gave him the information He wanted given to the seven churches of Asia minor (modern-day Turkey). Today’s article is not about those seven churches though I hope you will read these chapters after you finish reading what I am telling you in this post. Today’s article is about the 17th and 18th chapters and what the Spirit of God has to say to all of us. Obviously folks who are Catholic do not tend to agree with what I am about to write or they would not be Catholic. The problem within the Catholic and Protestant churches flocks is that most folks who do attend a Church tend to almost never open their Bibles to see if what their preachers are saying is in fact what the Scriptures say.

From Revelation chapter #17: (The Great Harlot Is Described) The ‘great harlot’ is the Catholic Church of about the past 1,700 years. In verse one it speaks of ‘one of the seven Angels’ that had the seven vials. There are seven ‘Spirits’ that surround the Throne of God in Heaven, almost every scholar I have ever spoken with believes as I do that these are the seven ‘Arch Angels’ of God.

And there came one of the seven  which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying to me, come here, I will show you the judgement of the great whore that sits upon many waters: With whom the Kings of the Earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the Earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy having seven heads and ten horns. (These are future nations/kingdoms)

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abomination and filthiness of her fornication.

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.  2 Thess. 2:7

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the Saints, and with the blood of the Martyr’s of Jesus and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

The great harlot is destroyed: Starting with verse seven: And the Angel said to me, why do you marvel? I will tell you the hidden truth of the woman, and the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

The beast that you saw was and is not; the beast shall ascend out of the bottomless pit (Hell) and go into perdition: and they that dwell upon the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in The Book Of Life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

And here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains (Continents) on which the woman sits.

And there are seven Kings: five are fallen (past tense at this time) and one is (at that time) and the other is not yet come for he shall remain a short time.

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eight, and is of the seven, and he will go into perdition.

And the ten horns which you saw are ten Kings which have received no Kingdom as yet; but will receive authority as Kings after one hour with the beast.

These (Kings) have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the beast.

And these shall make war with the Lamb (Jesus), and the Lamb shall overcome them: For He (Jesus) is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

And he (the Angel) said to me, the waters which you saw, where the whore was sitting, are people, and multitudes, and nations and tongues.

And the ten horns that you saw upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, they shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire

For God has put in their hearts to fulfill His (God’s) will, and to agree to give their Kingdoms to the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

And the woman who you saw is that great city, (Vatican City) which reigns over the Kings of the earth.

Chapter #18   (Babylon the great is destroyed)

And after these things I saw another Angel come down from Heaven, having great power, and the Earth was lighted with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, and has become the dwelling place of Devils and the hold of every foul Spirit and a cage for every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the Kings of the Earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the Earth have waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her my people that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

For her sins have reached unto Heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled, fill to her double.

How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously: so much torment and sorrow give her; for she says in her heart, I sit a Queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine, and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

Starting at chapter 18 verse 9:   (Earth bewail’s Babylon’s destruction)

And the Kings of the Earth who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail over her, and lament for her when they shall see the smoke of her burning.

Standing far away for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgement came.

And the merchants of the Earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys her merchandise any more:

The merchandise of gold and silver and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet and all scented wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood and of brass and iron and marble. (verses 13-16 are mostly just a continuation of items liken to those just mentioned).

Verse #17

For in one hour so great riches have come to nothing, and every ship-master and all the company of ships and sailors and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off.

And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, what city is like unto this great city!

And they cast dust on their heads and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein we were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! For in one hour she is made a ruin.

The last five verses of chapter 18: (Heaven Rejoices Babylon’s Destruction)

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and you Holy Apostles and Prophets for God has avenged you on her.

And a mighty Angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down and shall be found no more at all. (A moderate size asteroid tossed into the Mediterranean Sea just west of Rome/Vatican City would certainly do this).

And the voice of Harper’s and musicians and pipers and trumpeters  shall be heard no more at all in her.

And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the Earth: for by her sorceries were all nations deceived.

Verse 24 (last verse): And in her was found the blood of Prophets, and of Saints, and of all that were slain upon the Earth.

Well, that is it folks for tonight, I hope you enjoyed the article. I pray for peace for every human on this planet but to receive true peace we must all be very careful about whom/what we worship and how we ourselves decide to live our lives today and everyday. Good night folks, God’s blessings I wish to you all.
