Folks: How Do We Personally Believe In The Independence Of OUR OWN: Supreme Court?

Folks: How Do We Personally Believe In The Independence Of OUR OWN: Supreme Court?

Well Folks, do We? This is a case where 1/3 of Our National Government is in the hands and minds of just 9 of Our own People. I personally would not want to have to be a judge, at any level. Not with all the sins that I know that I have  committed. I don’t want to have to have a job of being a Judge where what the 9 of you say, is final. Folks, that’s just like being one step away, or below, God! I am not saying that this Job can’t be done, but to be Truly Independent of the Other 2 Branches of Our Government, at every level is necessary. To me, and I know that I could be wrong, but I believe that in Our Country’s Supreme Court Job Description, that Job Description is to make sure that all Laws are Constitutional! Now again, do the Nine Folks we now have on The Nations Top Court realize the weight upon each of them to be in charge of 1/3 of Our Government? Personally, there is no way, no amount of money that could get me to want that Job. Think of the pressure on all 9 of these folks to be, Honest. Has Our Nations Supreme Court become nothing but pawns of Big Politics, and Big Money? Do you have the Intelligence, and the Morals, do you Mr. Kavanaugh? What are you walking into Mr. Kavanaugh, do you really know? Well folks, as a very dear friend of mine used to say once in a while, “we shall see what we shall see.” Fore without an independent Supreme Court, there is no Democracy and as little as 9 people holds in their hands the weight of 1/3 of the Constitutional Government. Their sort of like those “Super Delegates” the Democrats been hosting, aren’t they? Except if you can totally control one of these 3 Branches of our Government, 9 people could control our Country. How much weight is on Mr. Kavanaugh? How much weight is on all 9 of these people? As I said earlier, I wouldn’t want this job no matter what the pay. When we add in the reality that another 1/3 of Our Government is in the hands of just One Person. Folks this means that 2/3 of Our whole Government is the Hands of 10 people. That is too much power if those positions aren’t filled with quality persons, now who decides what “Quality” is. Now Folks, does this help you see why I would not want to ever have to be in the place of one of these nine Folks.

Christian Integrity, What Is It

Christian Integrity, What Is It

Last evening I had a phone conversation with a man who has been in the states for many years but who’s family members still live in their original homeland. This is a man I have been coming to know the past couple of months because of a business deal we both have interest in. I have met this man, his wife and their children a couple of times in person and among the things my wife and I both noticed was their integrity as individuals and as a family unit. This helps bring me to one of the points that came up last evening during our phone conversation, the integrity of the people in the area (and those that stop in off of the interstate and stop in at his business). There were a few other issues that we spoke of like education and basic intelligence of the area but I would like to stick to the one issue today. The issue is/was about the people in this area and our faith as a Christian people, and our overall attitudes as a people concerning our/the personal level of Christian ethics and integrity.

The man I spoke of in the previous paragraph was from India, these next people are from Saudi Arabia. They own a local convenience store in my neighborhood so I got used to their faces and they to mine. The main sellers at this store was gas, beer, and cigarettes. As I got to know this family (just the men, no women) one of the things they were having to get used to was having the “customers” stealing from them. I am sorry to burst any bubbles but if we steal from anyone, that is a major red flag that we are lacking in our personal integrity. A couple of times these gentlemen spoke of their homeland where store owners could leave their wares on tables on the sidewalks and go home at night without worry of being robbed. Unfortunately I don’t know of places like that here in the States where I would feel totally secure doing this, do you? I hope you do but I just don’t.

To be honest with you when I started typing the title I realized that I didn’t know how to spell the word integrity. I don’t know how many years it had been since I spelled the word. Come to think of it, integrity isn’t a word that I ever hear bounced along our airwaves or in personal daily conversation, do you? When I looked the word up in the dictionary it gave me three definitions which I would like to relay to you to see what you think. (1) Adherence to a moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. (2) The state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. (3) A sound, unimpaired, or perfect condition. Am I pointing a finger at you, only if I am also pointing a finger at myself. I’m not here to point any fingers though, I’m here to ask each of us to look inside our own selves if we say we are Christians (followers of Christ) and asking those of you who are not to please also take some quiet time to be honest with our self, our family, and with God. To be honest with you, God already knows just how honest we are, He already knows our integrity level. Folks, our family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, these people all (most likely) already know what our moral character really is, even if we don’t.

My (Pillars) Of My Life: I Also Ask You, What Is Yours?

Earlier today I was reading some material from one of the folks I follow, I would tell you which blog it was but I honestly don’t remember as I read a lot of blogs and blog posts everyday. I do remember that this Author was from India and I read several of his posts, at least I think the person was a ‘He’, I could be wrong on that. One of the smaller pieces in their blog was a peace about their 4 pillars of life. From the articles I was reading, if my memory serves me correctly, this writer was a Hindu by faith. I am hoping that if this person reads this article that they will drop me a line with their website address and I will then make sure that they get credit for giving me the ideas about what I would call my ‘Pillars of life’. People get ideas from the strangest of things sometimes as an example, you see a pretty woman in a bright blue dress at a store downtown and you come home and write a story about ugly men who wear $5,000.00 three piece suits trying to hide the fact that they are ugly. Inspiration, you never know where it might come from during your day.

I believe the 4 Pillars spoken of above were Hindu Philosophy, and I have to admit that I agree with them as far as them being Pillars upon which are important for a person to build their life upon. The 4 Pillars were 1) Family 2) Kindness 3) Honesty 4) Humility, also was added the phrase “But the foundation is always: Love.” If this is the true order in which this Philosophy is meant to be, what do you think of them? Do you agree with them? Do you agree with the order they are written in? A person could write an article on each one if they were inclined to do so, even commenting on what each one means to you personally. Or, to play the Devil’s advocate, write an article on why each one does not mean anything to you and why so, I’m just saying…

For this article I am taking my own advice and have decided to add to the aforementioned ‘Pillars.’ When you have finished reading what I have posted please gather your thoughts on this ‘Pillars of Life’ and decide what you think of what I have written. Please feel free to comment if you wish. Comment on if you agree or disagree with what I have written, also, if you wish, write an article on what you believe your own personal ‘Pillars, foundations, of your life are.’

I have decided to put down a couple more ‘Rocks’ on which I have been trying daily to build my life upon, so here goes. 1) God 2) Country  3) Family 4) Honesty 5) Humility 6) Kindness. Well folks, what do you think? What are your foundations, your ‘Rocks, Pillars’ upon which you are trying to have as your own personal foundation to your ‘Being?’ Like a lot of articles that I write this article is simply designed to try to get each of you to think inside your own ‘Box, Self, Soul’, to examine your heart from the inside. I hope that it has helped to do exactly that for at least some of you. For now, good night, and I pray for God’s blessings to each one of you.

Integrity: Do We Have Any

Yes this is a personal question to you, me, and everyone else. This is not a question where I am looking for you to say your own personal answer to me or to anyone else. It is a personal question for each of us to really do some soul searching with but one that we can keep secret to just ourselves and God. Um, God, I did have to include Him didn’t I. When we hear that little quiet voice that is deep inside each of us, that voice that tells us right from wrong, the voice that tells us as we approach the traffic light whether we can run it without getting caught or not, do we listen and obey, or do we start an argument with ourselves? That voice that tells us it’s okay for us to lie, cheat, or steal, or not, that inner person that is each of us is what I am trying to address today in this post.

Scripture tells us that what we humans consider to be righteousness is but filthy rags to God. So if I want to get on my high horse and stick my smug little nose up in the air and go about my daily life telling others how good I am then I in fact would be nothing but a reckless idiot, a liar, and a fool. Fool? Yes a fool! Most all of my life I have tried to be a good person and there are a lot of people who know me who would say in private to you that I do try to be a very good Christian person. But the truth is, by Biblical standards, Old and New Testament, I personally feel like a pathetic failure. Truth is even though by our cultures standards I may live a more pure life style than what is excepted in our culture to be except-able, in my own soul I know I am really pathetic and my own failures sicken me to the core of my being.

My list of sins and personal failures if numbered would have many zeros in it. I know that the blood of Christ that He spilled when He sacrificed Himself to help save all of us washes away our sins as we commit them, as long as we are really trying to be pure in our daily walk with Him. I just wish that I would stop screwing up so much and that isn’t even counting the times I messed up and didn’t even realize it. It is a sin when we know something is a sin but we go ahead and do it anyway, those are the worse mess ups because when we are preforming our lives in this manner we are courting the favors of the Devil and purposely turning our face away from God. We have all been told plainly that “the prayers of the wicked are an abomination to me and I turn my face from them”. Friends, egos are a very dangerous thing to possess. Especially when we can’t even be honest with ourselves about ourselves.

I know that in my life that I have not committed every “sin in the book” but when I start thinking about all of the sins (the ones I know of) that I have committed in my life, all the times I have done other people wrong, it does kick my ego right in the family jewels. In other words my flaws make me rather sick at my stomach. None of us are ever going to be perfect in this life, but if we walk our lives after the example Christ gave us which is what all people who confess to be followers of Christ are suppose to be doing everyday, then the Blood of Christ will save us. But when we do not then it is that same Blood that will condemn us.

I just don’t want any of the people who read this blog to ever think that I am talking down to them as though I am better than other folks, I’m not. If there is a adding machine in Heaven with my name on it that has dinged every time I have sinned in my life they have probably had to replace that poor bell a few times by now. In my days I have stolen, lied, had sex outside of marriage, physically beaten men into unconsciousness, and there are probably a hundred other things that would total a million sins on that adding machine tape. For me to say I am more Holy than another person I think it best that I shut my mouth and not add that lie to my list. Integrity, I’m trying to possess it in my daily life, I just thank the Lord that He is as merciful and love filled as He is because He is my only hope of cleaning my daily slate. I hope and I pray that trying to walk a Christ filled life is my first daily agenda, I do very much hope and pray that it is for you also. We can’t be perfect, but that doesn’t mean that we are not suppose to try our very best each and everyday to walk our lives with integrity. Good day friend, I hope you all have a good one, God bless.

Police Violence Is Not Always About Race

Police Violence Is Not Always About Race

(This Article Was First Published On December 14th Of 2014)

Today I see the news where it is said 25,000 people marched today in NYC against police violence. I agree with marching and complaining against police violence if that is what is in your heart to do, and as long as you yourself stay nonviolent. But I ask you one thing, why? Are you a non white person who thinks it is all about white cops against your particular minority? Cops against all minorities? Or do you feel that Cops turn to violence way to quickly when no violence was needed, or at least far less physical expenditure should have been used? Could the police have used a stun gun instead of a bullet? Could the police person have shot someone in the arm or shoulder instead of the torso?

The fear factor, the safety factor toward a Police Officer, theirs toward us the general public, and ours toward them. Any time a person is in the presence of a Police Officer most people are aware that our whole life could change on the spot if the Officer is one of those folks who think they are part of a “Para Military Organization”, as I have heard some Sheriffs refer to themselves. When the Police are trying to imitate Marine Corps M.P.’s wearing BDU’s, combat boots, and Drill Sargent hats, we the people of that area know that our freedom and our bank account are always in peril. For this type of personality, in my opinion is extremely immature and childish at best. How can anyone be totally trusted if they have that state of personality?

Police Departments know very well that their image is not good world wide. You  (Officers) must police yourselves and get rid of those within your ranks who think they are God, those who have violent, hateful, or racist personalities. You must get rid of those who you know are dirty and you must get rid of those who are to scared to do your job safely. You have one of the toughest jobs in America today but you yourselves make it worse on yourselves when you don’t Police yourselves first. If the public in general are afraid of you, that is a really bad thing for you, not a good thing. If people can trust you and you present yourselves as polite professional human beings in your encounters with the public, most all of the public will be the same with you. Violence does beget violence, this is a truth now just the same as it was 4,000 years ago. Accidents do happen that is simply part of the human equation. Accidents happen to humans whether we are driving a car, a tractor trailer, or a Cruiser. Accidents are easier for the public to understand when they do happen, if the public believes that you are always honorable and truthful in your daily lives with them. When the public does not trust you, you are digging your own hole, causing your own wars and there is no excuse for that level of immaturity among you in that profession.

Racism is a cancer, it is whether we are a truck driver, an office worker, factory worker, or a Cop. When I was driving a tractor trailer unit for a living I knew it was a fact that if anyone of us drivers made a mistake or an overt aggressive move that we stuck out like a neon light. Then we also become easy targets for media who must find things to write about each and every day if they wish to keep their jobs. The same is true of everyone in your profession. As you know, one Police Officer from Hickville Tennessee can make a mistake in how they handled a call and in 30 minutes the whole wired world knows their face and their name. Worse, they gave your profession another bloody nose. If it is believed by your constituents that the Officers violent response was in anyway due to race your whole profession takes another body blow. If you know that a member of your department is racist toward any persons you must, if you wish to have any actual integrity, fire that person from your ranks. That person is a terminal cancer to you personally and to your chosen profession, get rid of them now, for your own sake.

I personally do not believe that most Cops nation wide are racist people, I do not believe that at all. There is the obvious reality that there are millions of people in our country that are very racist, who are very violent thus almost useless human beings, of every race. Our society, our culture as some wish to refer to it, says it is okay for us or our kids to steel from stores and it is okay for us to act violently when stopped by a store employee or a Police Officer. Many believe that it is okay to be mouthy with an Officer when they stop you for something as minor as robbery. Many believe it is okay to not obey their commands when told to do things like “put your hands up where I can see them”. Instead it’s okay to do stupid things like reach in your pockets instead, then when you get shot, if the Cop was from another race, then you have thousands who will jump on the race bandwagon, mainly because they themselves are racist and see everything in terms of color of skin (in my opinion).

We as a human culture must police ourselves. To me this has to start in the home, if the home teaches the children to be race oriented and to hate all police, “because all Police are racist pigs”, guess how that child is going to grow up thinking. If we as a human culture teach our children hate by race, they will most likely grow up to be hate filled racist grownups. Some people are racist hate filled persons, I do not believe that our society will ever mature past this evil. We must all be realistic, there are hate filled people in absolutely every profession, even the Clergy has many offenders. That there are racist Cops should be no surprise but this is where Law Enforcement Agencies absolutely have to Police their own and get rid of these bad apples from their profession. I am a 58 year old white male who has been stopped by and or questioned by Police officers all over the country and I have not once ever felt racism toward me by any Officer. I have been screwed over by crooked Cops in several places around the country but it was always about money or their personal ego power trips (which I also consider a human cancer), it was never ever about race. Please don’t say something ignorant or just plain stupid like “well he’s probably only been pulled over by white Cops”, I hope you are not that racist, ignorant or just plain stupid to believe something like that.

The bottom line is guys and ladies who wear the Badge, police yourselves more thoroughly and more and more of the general public will support you. Most everyone, except those making a financial living promoting race anger are sick to death of race being an issue within our society. Your profession as Law Enforcement Officers must do everything in your human power to excommunicate racist people from your Department, no matter what color that racist person happens to be. Cleansing of the Soul, the body, or the profession must be preformed from the head down. Personally I am totally, completely mentally sick and tired of race being an issue in our society. Until we morally cleanse ourselves of this evil our Nation will never heal and the blood on the ground will be called in testament of our age on our Judgement Day before God.
