Are You Ever An ‘Airhead’ While In Prayer, Or Are Those A ‘Trance’ Or ‘In The Spirit’?

Are You Ever An ‘Airhead’ While In Prayer, Or Are Those A ‘Trance’ Or ‘In The Spirit’?

I’m just asking a question here folks, I’m definitely not trying to be judgmental. But once in a while do you find that while in a quiet personal prayer, that your mind has wondered? Had skipped away in total accident with no wish or intent, to someplace else in your mind? You know that of all times that you/I would always want to be at our best spiritual, physical and mental behavior is when we are having a ‘private moment’ with God, right? When I have done that, skipped off somewhere else in my mind while in prayer, up till this evening I have been upset with and/or disappointed with myself when I realize what I had done, again. I have wondered sometimes if this is what some folks refer to as being in some type of trance, or is it being a stoner and zoning out? Or, is it possible that while in these quiet moments that while we were in prayer, that when this happens that we fell asleep? Whew, hope not. This is one of those cases where I cannot answer for other folks, this is a private individual thing between our self and God and most assuredly, He knows the answers. For the folks in the world that have no faith at all a good many of them must think that those of us who prefer to pray quietly several times a day are out of tune anyway. Yet for those of us who do believe in a loving and all-powerful God and Creator of all of us, faith is all we have got, yet it is all that we need, any of us. When we pray do we have the faith that we are communicating directly with God through His Own Spirit that indwells the Believers? So, how important is it when we are in a silent prayer with God? How important is it that we stay ‘on tune’ during those times? Well, I guess, that’s up to each one of us privately with ourselves, and of course, also on how it is that God looks at these mental phenomenons. This is just my thought for the evening, hope it gave you a thought or two as you were reading it.

Who Is The “Watchman” Of Our Soul, Anyone?

Who Is The “Watchman” Of Our Soul, Anyone?

Before I write articles to put into this blog I always have a prayer session with the Son and the Father through the Spirit of God. I know that of my own accord I am not wise enough to give any advice, I need the knowledge that the Lord’s Spirit gives to us humans when we seek it. For the Lord does not do His will in secret, nor is His word hidden from us. The Lord is the Light that no evil can stand before. Come study the word of the Lord with us. Let His love shine upon all of our hearts and let Him enlighten our Souls. The reason, I pray is that hope that none of us would be a Watchman who is found sleeping at the Lord’s return (Second Advent of Christ).

Folks, unless the Lord is the foundation and the builder of our family, the house of ones own life, then all the labor that has gone into it is in vain. Just as with the truth, that unless the Lord is the protector of your community, city, or country, the Watchman stays awake in vain. If you happen to have a Bible handy, please turn to the 3rd chapter of the book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament so that you can verify these things I am speaking with you about. Ezekiel was born in the year 622 B.C. and his name in the Hebrew language means ‘may God strengthen him’. He is the Prophet that was giving the warning to the House of Israel that God was going to destroy Jerusalem via a foreign military power if Jerusalem did not return to following God’s teachings, yet the King and the other leaders refused to listen to his warnings. Ezekiel was sent by God to be a Watchman and in the third chapter you get a very good description of the job of a Watchman.

In our society today when we hear the term Watchman we tend to think of a Security Guard. A person who is paid to watch over a factory, warehouse or an office building. Some people, some businesses, only employ a Watchman during the night-time or only on the weekends when they are closed. Other businesses with more to lose will employ Watchmen/Security, on a 24/7/365 days a year schedule. These Watchmen are hired to help the owners feel more safe, more protected from the bad folks in the world as well as for security from things like fires. These Watchmen are there to protect the property and the flesh. If a problem arises and the Watchman does not protect by sounding the alarm, when the fire is over and the smoke has cleared this Watchman, this Security Guard, is going to be in a lot of trouble. You know that the owner of the property is going to be irate because his ‘Guard’ did not do his job, he did not protect the owner’s property. Most likely this ‘Watchman’ besides losing his job is going to have to answer to the Sheriff and a Judge.

Now, speaking in a Spiritual since it is a Biblical truth that to whom much is given, much is required of them by God Himself. To those whom knowledge is given it is required of them to be a mouthpiece and a light for those who are living in darkness regarding what Spiritual truth is. If you are a leader in a Church, a Deacon, Elder, or Pastor, much is required of you. These positions in the Church are not just positions created by a man or woman so that they/you can receive glory or praise from mankind! These are positions of responsibility and accountability from God Himself! If you hold one of these positions you are a Watchman of God’s Bride, the Church. If the Bride is unfaithful and unclean at the return of the Groom which is Jesus Himself, I would not want to be you. You need to understand that the blood of the Lost Sheep which is the members of the Congregation, the Church, The Bride, will be upon your hands. You are the Watchman that was anointed by God and you are accountable to God for those people’s Souls. To he whom much is given, much is required of you.

I do have a few more things that I would like to speak with you about. If you are a Christian the Holy Spirit of God indwells within you, He is The Comforter of the Christian person. It is true that the Spirit is willing but that human flesh is weak. For many people it is difficult to be a witness for Jesus in our daily lives yet in reality we all do it every day. Do you find yourself thinking now wait a minute, what are you talking about? Friends the answer to this is very simple, all Christians are Watchmen for the Lord. Have I confused you yet? Okay, let me break this down and make it more plain for all of us to understand.

Even if we are not leaders within a Congregation we are all still Watchmen for God. Are you a member of a family? Do you have a spouse of children at you home? Do you have any extended blood family that doesn’t live in your home? Do you even know who your neighbors are, or, do you have any coworkers at your place of employment? Here is a truth for all of us, if we are a Christian we are a light of God. You are one of God’s Watchmen! If we take our God-given talents and hide them in the sand how is it that we think that Jesus won’t be mad at us upon His return? I am not speaking of gold or silver, I am not speaking of human material talent or treasure that you are in danger of losing, I am speaking about your Soul.

We are all a light for God, we are all Watchmen over the lives and Souls of those we are in contact with. Even if we say nothing to a person our ‘Light’ should draw people’s attention, and it does. What I mean by this is simple, Christians should always, everyday be doing their very best to walk our lives after the heart and face of Jesus Christ. By our living examples we should standout from the ways of the world. If we do not by our examples witness to the world around us positively then we are still witnessing about our own lack of faith. The people around us still see our Light even if that Light is being hidden under a facade. When these people around us die and go to their personal judgement at the feet of Christ and they get condemned to Hell do you really think that their blood will not be laid upon you at your judgement?

When we are all at the Judgement Seat of Christ after we die we are all going to be questioned about everything that we have ever done, or not done. Will the blood of all of our family members, friends and loved ones be poured out upon our head? Do we really care about anyone other than our own selves? We will all be questioned about the people that we have come in contact with during our lives as to why we did or did not shine a true Christian Light to guide these folks to the salvation Jesus Christ offers us all. What kind of example are we setting? What kind of Watchman are we? What kind of Light and Servant of God are we? Folks when we stand before the Lord Jesus at our own judgement only the pure and total truth we will hear, but will the truth save us, or condemn us?

The Devil, World Governments, And Jesus

The Devil, World Governments, And Jesus

I have derived this post today concerning each faction of the title from four verses in the Biblical Gospel Book of Luke, the gentile physician. These verses are at 3:22, 4:1, and 4: 5-6. Do you personally have questions about any of these three ‘subject matters’? I will show you some things so that you can read it if you wish, and receive broader perspective, or maybe, a more narrow one.

Let’s take these four verses apart and see what they say, they are short verses so for the sake of your time not having to physically go get your Bible I will put them down here for your convenience. Luke chapter 3 verses 21 & 22 (3:21-22). This starts where Jesus comes up out of the water after He was baptized by John the Baptist.

#21 “…it came to pass that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven (sky) was opened,”

#22 ” And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from Heaven, which said, You are my beloved Son, in you I am well pleased”.

Verse 4:1 I added this to this short list today just to show that ‘the Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit” is still upon Jesus.

4:1 ” And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan (where He was baptized), and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness”.

The last two verses run together, they are found at 4: 5-6. This event takes place just after Jesus had spent 40 days in self-imposed seclusion in the desert.

4: 5-6 ” And the Devil, taking Him (Jesus) up into a high mountain, shewed unto Him (Jesus) all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time”. ” And the Devil said unto Him, All this power I will give you, and the glory of them: for they are delivered unto me (the Devil); and to whomsoever I decide to give it too”.

Like most of my posts this one is designed to get folks to think about what you just read.  The Devil’s goal was to get Jesus to bow to him, think about it, God bowing to him, really, damn, the Devil has a hell of an ego doesn’t He? This is not the point I was trying to make today though. The issue I want you to look at is the fact that the Devil owned the worlds governments at that time (1,990) years ago. I know that it only makes sense, if you are the Devil or one of His underlings that since they are stuck here on this rock they might as well rule it, right? Why wouldn’t they? Do you think that these same shipwrecked Demons crave no power today? Their time is getting shorter and they know it, do you think they are getting nicer? Do you think they are more ignorant today than they were back then, or wiser?

If a person puts all their trust in a government, any government, or any human creation we are setting ourselves up for a massive personal collapse as well as a national/global up-evil the likes of that humans have never seen. Folks, it really does matter who leads our countries. Good, honest, God-fearing leaders can help delay the wrath of God’s judgement on past this, our own generations. I did say delay not stop, the end that is coming for the human race is scary. Personally I wish that the whole world would quit the violence and act more God like each day, this in-turn would delay God’s wrath on our loved ones. We humans are not going to win in this human form when the Devil comes to visit, unless we ourselves are already the property of the Holy Spirit of God. This is the same ‘Holy Spirit’ that saturated Jesus all those long years ago. We all chose who we are going to trust in our lives, or no one. We all have lived, we all will die, where will we go if these is ‘another side’? Who or what we choose to follow now is making that decision for us.

Jesus Preformed No Miracles In His Life Until After Matthew 3:16 (age 30)

Jesus Preformed No Miracles In His Life Until After Matthew 3:16 (age 30)

(THERE IS NO RECORD OF JESUS PERFORMING ANY MIRACLES UNTIL AFTER HE AROSE FROM HIS BAPTISM AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, HIS SPIRIT HAD ASCENDED UPON HIM. AFTER THIS TIME, THEN HE WENT ABOUT THE LAND PERFORMING MIRACLES.)

Matthew 3:16, this is the place in the first book of the New Testament where Jesus comes up out of  the water from His baptism and “He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him”. In no version of the Gospels does Jesus perform any miracles of any kind, no where, at any time before He received “His Spirit”. I know that in the Quran it says that Jesus was still in Egypt at the age of seven and that He performed a miracle of bringing a bird back to life, this is just one of their flaws. Another flaw is that Jesus would have left Israel at about 24 months old and by historical records would have been back in Israel after King Herod died 12 to no more than 24 months later. Most likely, Jesus was back in Israel by the time He was 3+ years old, making living in Egypt at seven something that would not have been correct. Please check into what I am saying here, don’t just take my word for it (unless you know me personally). You see no ‘flesh’ can do miracles, humans can do some darn good magic/illusions no doubt, but not miracles. When it comes to actual magic as in ‘miracles’ I believe that no human can do them of their own power. Do I believe in miracles, yes I do. I will make this next example plain and simple. If you see a person live and in person and they tell this mountain behind my house to go away and cast itself into the ocean, and the mountain pops right up off the surface and tosses itself about 400 miles away into the ocean, Houston we have a problem. You know what folks, if that happens in front of your eyes tell us that a human did it. I am rather sure that you would be looked at as either ignorant or just plain stupid. Have someone literally raise someone from the dead by their own words and tell me that persons powers are only human. There are only two forces that have such huge powers, one is Evil and the other, is not. I’m just saying… trying to get you some meat for your mental stew. Stay safe, God bless, good night.

Ten Quick King Solomon Proverbs To Lighten Our Day

Ten Quick King Solomon Proverbs To Lighten Our Day

(PERSONALLY I BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE NEED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER THESE WORDS EACH DAY) (OLDPOET56)

This is ten of King Solomon’s proverbs and shouldn’t take more than about two moments of your time. The dictionary says a proverb is a profound saying, maxim, or oracular utterance requiring interpretation.

  1. A just man walks in his integrity and his children that come after him shall be blessed because of his actions.
  2. Even a child is known by their actions whether they are pure and whether they are correct.
  3. The spirit of a man is like a candle to the Lord who searches all our inner thoughts.
  4. It is better to live on the corner of a house-top than to live in a mansion with a hate filled woman.
  5. He that keeps his mouth shut and his tongue from wagging keeps their own soul from trouble.
  6. If you see a person who is wise in their own deceit there is more hope for a fool than for that person.
  7. Evil men do not understand judgement but they that seek the Lord understand all things.
  8. He that turns away their ears from the Word of God even his prayers are an abomination.
  9. Give wine to those who are of heavy hearts. Let him drink and forget his poverty and remember their misery no more.
  10. A wise person will listen and will obtain learning and a person of understanding will listen to wise counsels. To fear the Lord is the beginning of knowledge but a fool despises wisdom and instruction.

Why Is Telling The Truth Such An Unacceptable Thing To Do These Days?

Why Is Telling The Truth Such An Unacceptable Thing To Do These Days?

Does it bother you that so many people lie so easily today? Does it seem to you that there are people who go out of their way on an issue just so they can tell a lie instead of the truth? Which bothers you the most, when you are being lied to and you know it as the words are being spoken, or when you are lied to but don’t find out about it until later? How about when your own children lie to you, or how about when other people’s children do it to you? Then of course there is the reality of having a spouse whom will lie to you while looking you straight in the eyes, it’s always fun having a spouse like that. How about your neighbor, your boss, co-workers, politicians, or even the evening news anchors, do they ever lie to you/us? Do they lie to us daily? Or do they only lie when they open their mouth?

I have come across some folks in my life who had the opinion that if someone told them something and that answer turned out to be wrong then that meant they were lied to. Being wrong about something, even when you personally believe something to be true when you said it, does not mean that you lied when you spoke, it just means that you were wrong on that issue. How do we ever figure our what truth is when so many lie today using their lies as some kind of stupid childish game? It is easy to say that lairs have no integrity, but, do you ever lie on purpose? If you are a person whom says they are a moral, faithful person, a good Christian, do people know you to be a liar also? If we are a liar, are we really a good person, a faith filled person, a moral person or a real Christian? One of the biggest problems with Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is not that he is a liar, it is that he is a man who lies a lot, on purpose for the means to deceive, as he holds a Bible in his hand and calls himself a Christian. He is the type of “warm water” that Jesus spoke of in Revelation as it is this type of person that Mr. Cruz is that helps in giving all of Christianity, thus Jesus, a bad name.

Truth, or truthfulness by definition means the true actual state of a matter, in other words, 100% truth. Another good definition about truth is that it conforms with fact/reality, something that is verifiable. The word truth as an idiom: reality, fact, actually. When I went to look the word truth up in the index of my KJV Bible the sub-title reads “that which agrees with final reality”. In the Bible verse of John 14:6 Jesus is quoted as saying “I am the truth, and the life: no man can come to the Father but through me”. There is only one real truth and that is the pure truth according to Jesus for He is Truth. If my statements do not agree with the Truth that Jesus has given to all people of the Earth through the Holy Spirit inspired Word of God, then I am either incorrect, or I have lied to you. Personally I don’t think there is anything on this planet that is worth lying about. (I speak this as a broken down old man with few days left so earthly treasures mean little to me) Am I wrong sometimes, of course I am, I’m just a human. But, one thing I will never do is to lie to you here on this blog. What good is any blog that lies to people? What good is a blog that is about Truth, if I would ever mislead you on purpose? When you mislead someone on purpose that is a lie after all isn’t it? I hope for your own Souls sake that you just answered that question with a yes. I don’t remember exactly where I heard it at on the TV last week, but it was on some news program and the male commentator made the statement (I don’t know where or how he could have gotten this information though) that the average person (I believe that he was referring to Americans) lies on average 22 times a day! This is not a question that I had ever thought about so honestly I don’t know if that figure surprises me or not.

Putting God First: I know I Haven’t Always

Putting God First: I know I Haven’t Always

Do you remember the commandment that says”thou shall not lie”? Do you personally believe that if you are asked at your judgement, did you put God first in your life that you can honestly look God in His eyes and say yes? If you can I honor you for I know that if I said such a thing it would be a lie and of course God knows the answers before He asks the questions. But can I ever say that I have put God first in anything, ever, can you? My answer to this version of the question would be yes, I believe that would be and honest answer? But, do I put God first in my daily life right now, everyday, any day? This is a question that can be very difficult to answer because it can and will vary by the things that we personally believe to be truth. There are some people who think that to be a “holy person” that they must spend their lives on their knees in front of a church altar in prayer while they are flogging themselves. Personally I do not believe this at all, but ones faith is and is supposed to be, a personal one with God. We all have different talents and abilities in physical matters and we have different talents in spiritual matters as well. Our own personal relationship with God is exactly that, our own personal relationship with Him. We will all be judged by how we preformed our daily lives. I cannot save you nor can I condemn you, this is a burden/cross that each person carries on their own each step, each breath, each heart beat of their own life.

When a person accept’s Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, is buried in baptism, then he/she is raised a new creature. Do you understand this meaning? You see when we accept Jesus as our personal Savior we are given the Spirit of God within us, it is this “Holy Spirit” that makes us a new creature, a new being. When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior we are no longer our own, we belong to God. But, do we act any different from everyone else who is “of the world”? If we are no different when we come up out of the water (different mind-set) all we really did was to get our self wet. God knows His own, when He calls His own, His own know His voice because God’s Spirit is “God within us” and yes, He does know His own voice. What this does mean though is that anyone who does not have the “Spirit of God” indwelling them when they/we die we will be condemned at the Judgement Seat of God. In our humans lives if we in our daily adventures do not keep God at the fore front of our decisions as in “what would Jesus do” we can not honestly expect great results in our daily lives to be showered upon us by God.

In my opinion I am never going to be “good enough” on my own to honestly be able to say “I deserve” for God to treat me great each day or to even protect me from the worlds evils each day. This is why I personally am so grateful for “God’s grace” because “my works” in my opinion, will never be perfect enough to suffice for my own salvation. We do not live under the “old law” (Old Testament) that the Jewish people were assigned by God about 4,000 years ago. Under the ‘Old law’ you could be saved by your works even if you had little faith. If a person followed the Ten Commandments there was a real good chance they would be safe when they died and went to their judgement before the Throne of God, as long as you were of the Royal Blood Line given from God to the Hebrew people. The House of Israel is still special to God but they lost their exclusiveness to salvation because of not following the teaching and commandments of their God so God through Jesus (The Christ, The Messiah, The Promised One)  made a path for all of us gentiles to obtain salvation also (New Testament).

Now back on track, do I put God first everyday of my life? Do I open my eyes in the mornings and the first thought (after addressing the need to pee) is to wash my hands and face and pray thanking our Creator for His grace and kindness? Do I thank God before each meal for the food and lodging? I have to admit that at times I have been slack in my thank you’s to God for all of His kindness and grace to me throughout this life time He has given me. How would you answer these questions if no one else was around to hear the answers? I know that I am not a perfect person and that I have committed many different sins in my life time, I know that on my own merits I would be condemned at my judgement. I know that only by Gods grace do I actually have a chance at salvation. I personally am very glad that the people of Israel 2-4,000 years ago fell short of their adherence to ‘The Law” given exclusively to them, if they had not messed up, you and I would have zero chance of salvation. Yes we are all know to others by the works that we do each day, good or bad. We are now all commanded to live by faith for without faith it is impossible to please God. If we truly do love God then we will follow His directions to love one another as ourselves. There is truth in the fact though that some people are never going to except the love of God because their hearts are filled with hate and ignorance. When we encounter such people we are to shake the dust of our feet off as a sign against them. Not everyone is going to be faithful to God in their daily walk of life, you and I, we must always be careful to live a life of faithfulness to God if we actually care about Him. Do I always put God first everyday, all day? All I can say is thank you Lord for your kindness and your grace to us sinners.

Living (1) Day Without Committing A Sin

Living (1) Day Without Committing A Sin

What is a sin? I would guess that this isn’t something that most people spend hours each day contemplating. Most people I would think are to busy working and pondering their chores they need to get accomplished each day to spend much time being philosophical about things like what is a sin. I really don’t believe that most folks actually care what a sin is or if they are committing some as they traverse through their day. This is of course unless we feel that someone has sinned against us, then we care, a lot of the time when we fill dissed by someone we tend to get angry about it. But yet, if we don’t consider our own actions as to how others take what we do or don’t do, aren’t we being a bit hypocritical? Sins can be something as simple as us letting someone down, especially if we lied to them. Yet there is a huge difference as to whether we let a person down by accident or if it was on purpose. If I tell my son that I will take him to his baseball game at 5 PM but I get tied up at work and forget all about the game I may have sinned/lied in his eyes, but is that a sin? To me, I say no, it was just an accident, something totally unintended. If I knew when I made the promise that I was not going to be able to get off work to take him to his game, then yes, that is a sin against my son, and against God. I say against God because when we know something is a wrong and we do it anyway, that is a sin counted against us and it is an intentional slap against God.

I checked with the online dictionary, Google and the Bible to see what they had to say as far as what a sin is, this way this article will be more than just my opinion alone. 1) The online dictionary says sin is: Transgression of Divine Law. A willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle, a behavioral lapse or a great fault or offense. 2) Google says: An immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. I used these two authors of the definition especially for the folks who tend to only believe what secular man has to say about a word or an event. I know that there are some who really don’t believe what the Bible has defined something as, so I wanted you to see how close the online dictionary and Google matched up with the Bible definitions in this case.

3) What does the Bible say about what sin is? I got these answers from the index of my King James Version, the first thing it says is: disobedience of God’s law. I am going to forward you a few Scriptures to help you in understanding of the Biblical definition of the word/act of sin.

Omission of known duty.   James 4:17

Comes from mans heart.   Matthew 15:19-20

Kinds of sin: Secret   Psalms   90:8

Shameless   Isiah 3:9

Willfully   Hebrews 10:26

Of Ignorance   Leviticus 4:2

Transgression   1 John 3:4

Unrighteousness   1 John 5:17

In the Book of John 8:44 we are told that the sources of sin comes from Satan, the Devil.

Christ’s relationship to sin:

Christ takes away our sins   John 1:29

Christ saves His people from sin   Matthew 1:21

Christ washes (through His blood) us clean from sin   Revelation 1:5

Sin: is wrong doing; a transgression against God. We are told to lay aside our sins.   Hebrews 12:1

We are told to resist committing sins.   Hebrews 12:4

To guard the tongue. (To be careful about the words that come out of our mouth) Psalms 39:1

We are told to ‘walk in The Spirit’. This simply means that when we become followers of Christ (Christians) that The Holy Spirit, which is The Spirit of God indwells us and we are supposed to try to walk after the ways of The Spirit of God and not after the carnal ways of the flesh any longer. We all still have the freedom of choice, we can still choose to revert back to ‘living after the flesh’ if we so choose though it will be a very bad decision for our own Soul if we choose to do so.

I am going to close out the ‘Bible part’, (part #3) with something that the Apostle Paul tells us in the Book of Romans 3:28   “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified (cleared of all guilt) by faith without (apart from) the deeds of the Law.” (The Law was the Old Testament which was the “Law” to the Jewish people concerning how they should act, perform their lives.) By the ‘Old Law’ a Jewish person could be saved from Hell simply by following the Laws of God, they did not have to have faith at all to be saved, they just had to follow the Law. With the coming of Christ, upon His resurrection ‘faith’ is required for a person to be saved from the ‘second death’ which is eternal separation from God when a person is condemned to eternal Hell. For without faith it is impossible to please God.

Now #4: My thoughts on Sin and why I used the title ‘living (1) day without committing a sin. I know that some people think that it is impossible to go a whole day without committing some kind of a sin just as there are some folks who think that this is a very simple task. People vary on our thoughts even when it is on the same subject matter, even within one family. Sin, sometimes sin can be difficult to define. One person can look at a naked woman and simply think to themselves, ‘beautiful lady’. Yet another person can see a photograph of a woman in a long dress yet it is showing one of her ankles and become overcome with lust, wanting to have sex with her no matter what the cost, physical, financial or spiritual. In these two cases, which one sinned?

When I lay down to go to sleep each evening I always take a few moments to say my closing of day prayers. One of the things that I ask the Lord each evening is to please forgive me of any sins that I committed during that day. When I do this I often will think back to the events of my day searching for any know sins that I did, always hoping that I find none. When I do find sins that I know that I am guilty of it embarrasses me that I was so weak, I feel unworthy of even getting to speak with God about asking Him for forgiveness. I try to walk each day without any sin being committed yet the reality is that we often sin and aren’t even aware that we did it. Simple example being that we could do something that was taken wrong by a weaker Christian or a person who was looking at us as a Christian example and this action of ours caused this person to ‘fall away’ from Christ, we didn’t really do anything wrong but there was still a cost paid. Some would call this a sin, some would not. The thing is, the Blood of Christ washes away our sins and keeps us pure, if we are indeed walking after The Spirit and the Heart of Christ. When we are baptized with The Holy Spirit we are a new person, we belong to Jesus Christ, we are no longer our own person, we belong to God.

The reason that when the Second Advent (Second Coming OF Christ) happens and we are told that Christs followers will know His voice is because His Spirit indwells us, so of course He knows His own voice. Folks, because The Spirit of Christ (The Holy Spirit) is within us (He, Christ) examines our hearts and our minds to see and to understand why we did or didn’t do as we did in our lives. There is no fooling God. While we are living our life we commit many sins yet God knows when we were trying our best to not sin, He will forgive us, He knows that the flesh is weak. God is not looking for reasons to condemn us, He is looking for reasons to save us.

Who Is At Home With Us

Who Is At Home With Us

While I was attending classes at Walters State in Morristown Tennessee, I was graced to have a Professor whom I believe is a convert to Buddhism. The class I had with him had a large amount to do with world cultures so obviously interfacing at times with Religion issues. He did a very good job of keeping his personal convictions to himself. His knowledge of the issues being taught I felt were very good. One day in his office the issue of one’s soul came to the forefront and my beliefs really stunned my Professor. When he got over his shock he looked at me all stunned faced and said “do you really believe that?”.

My belief is quite simple, I believe that all humans have souls. Everyone’s body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit whom have excepted Jesus as the Christ and have been buried in baptism and raised a new person, but only if you, your Soul, invite Him in. You (your body, your Temple), and everyone’s Temple only have one of three positions that we can be in. There is the first fact that everyone must first overcome and that is whether they really do or do not believe that God is real. Then a person must believe that there is such a thing as Souls. We (our Souls) are always in our bodies (except for a few short oddities here and there). We can live in our House (body) alone or one of two other things can happen. Either our body is possessed by our souls only, or with a Spirit from either the Light of the Dark, but never at the same time. Dark can not be where the Light is. Light will throw out the Dark, for where the Light is the Dark cannot enter. The third option is one that is taken but usually not by the persons own choice. This “situation” is when a Spirit of Darkness “a Demon” decides to step into your body, when this happens the only thing that can force them to leave their host is through the power of God’s Spirit. So, we are all in one of these three positions according to the best of all the material I have been able to study on this matter indicates.

So when death comes calling on us, and on us it all will, who is at home with us? The answer is the same for every one of us when it comes time for each of us to die, we will be found in one of these three conditions when we die, or when the Lords trumpet sounds. 1.) We are found, home alone, no company, self served to Hell’s Gate. 2.) We are so unfortunate as to have had a Demon residing within us, whether a person knew it was there or not, they will still be condemned to Hell’s Gate. 3.) You/we/I may think this is a bit unfair but what you and I think really doesn’t matter any at all. I know it is a shock to many but we ourselves are not the decider of all things, we are not the rulers of the universe. Unless a person when they die find themselves in the third condition (having the Spirit of God, Holy Spirit) residing within them then you/we/I have no hope but to end up at number one and two’s destination. It is the New Testament that you will read this understanding in as it was not an Old Testament (The Law to the Hebrew people) situation but for all of us since the time of Christ it is now the only way to God’s salvation.

Why Some People Believe It Is Okay To Murder Other People

WHY SOME PEOPLE BELIEVE IT IS OKAY TO MURDER OTHER PEOPLE

Hopefully this title can help make a person stop their scanning and do a double take. I can easily see a person saying to themselves “I didn’t see that correctly did I”. One of the problems for the human race is the absolute fact that many millions of people do believe in this idea. I am a 61 yr old white male and I have lived all of my life within the borders of the lower 48 States of the U.S.. Through my life experiences (mostly as a long haul truck driver) I have learned many things, as I hope that all people have been able to do.

I am going to tell you a true story where the center point would be about February of 1978 in a small town in south-west Virginia named Galax. I had shortly before this time gotten out of the military and had decided to live in Galax which is the town where I was born instead of going back to the town where I spent my growing up years at in northern Illinois, in a town named Belvidere. During my growing up years in Belvidere I attended the local Church of Christ, so when I moved to Galax I started attending services there at the South Side Church of Christ.

I only attended services there for three weeks. The Preacher with his wife and young daughter were from the state of Pennsylvania so they were not local folks, in fact they were Yankees, so I was a bit surprised that he had even been hired there in the first place. After services on the third Sunday evening the Preacher turned in a thirty-day notice. It was easy to see that there was something wrong going on at this Church, so as I was filling out of the building that evening I spoke with the Preacher to ask him why he was quitting because I was thinking about becoming a regular there and if there was something bad going on here I would like to know about it so to help me in deciding if I would continue attending there. The answer the Preacher gave me, I will tell you what he said toward the end of this story. But, what he told me opened my eyes to a question that had puzzled me for many years. The inner question within my thoughts was “why in some people’s minds is it okay to murder other people, why does anyone think they have the right to do that to anyone”?

In world history there have always been wars, both big and small, and for many different reasons. It is expected that people kill other people during a war. But it is not expected during a peaceful time. If you kill people during a war battle there will be no repercussions leveled against you. What I want to speak to you about is the killing of people in the civilian world. For an example, look at the violence in the south side of Chicago Illinois. It seems that most of this violence is about drugs and turf wars. Who or what gives a person the right to do all of this killing? Look at world history, it is filled with blood. Just looking at the US history, look at how all non-whites were treated for about 400 years. Didn’t matter whether you were Black, Hispanic, Asian, or Indian they were all disrespected horribly. The question again, what made some people think they had some God-given right to commit these acts of hate?

Now I want to go back to 1978 and my talking with the Preacher who was quitting. My eyes were opened by his answer. He told me that the people there at that congregation believed that the only people who had Souls were whites, to say the least, my shadow never darkened that doorway again. What my eyes were opened to was the fact that if a person looks at another person and in their eyes they are not looking at another human, just an animal, it makes it easy to kill that person if you believe that way. Throughout human history some of the most horrible acts of violence have been committed in the name of God. When you look toward the Middle East you see that most everyone in the region hates Israel and most Israelis have no love loss for Islamist. Almost everyday you hear of Jihad’s against people within and outside of their own faith. Us Christians should not get to uppity, we have had many people killed where both sides did what they did in the name of Jesus Christ. How much blood was spilled in wars between Protestants and Catholics? They both believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died and was raised the third day by the power of the Holy Spirit, so how does either side think that God will approve their actions? Hopefully now you will have a better understanding as to why some people think it is okay to kill someone else. In the name of God, no one has the right to be offensive toward anyone else and if there is no offence then there is no need for a defense. But that is only wishful thinking, humans are simply too egotistical to put others up onto their own plain and to quit thinking of others as being of less worth than themselves. Contrary to some religions beliefs and contrary to some groups beliefs all people are human beings and thus all people do have a Soul. Jesus told us plainly that no murderer has any part in the Kingdom of God. There was a time before the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ that only the Royal Bloodline could have salvation and by Jesus’s own words we (Gentiles) were considered not be a people. In fact Jesus in a parable referred to all of us Gentiles as dogs. Yes God is great, and humans are at times animal-like and, dumb as a stump.
