(Poem: Philosophy) Virtue

Virtue

What is more proof of a mortal than to possess Virtue

Is it not better to be barren while filled with God’s Virtue

Than it is to have many children who are Vile in their heart

Evil and Virtue are know by both man and by God’s Angels

Both are imitated by other humans and missed when gone

All Evil is illegitimate and will perish in the walk of time

The land will vomit out even the seeds of a Vile Plant

For the Stalks of the wicked are planted in Volcanic Sand

Their Branches are weak and will be broken off by the wind

Their Fruit will be rotten and not be worthy or be able to live

Though the Evil may live long they are but fodder for the Hell’s Fire

When the Righteous die young they are as the Gray Hair in Heaven

Gray Hair is not measured by years but by the Virtue they possessed

Sometimes the Lord takes the Young to save them from Evil surroundings

For by their Virtue even in a short time their Souls were pleasing to God

For through Grace, Mercy and Virtue He watches over all of His Holy Ones

Everyone wants to get off the planet Earth and go explore the solar system, without realizing just how good we’ve got it down here. We’ve got a lot of air, more liquid water than we know what to do with, a nice strong planetary magnetic field that protects us cosmic radiation, and nice strong gravity that keeps our muscles strong and our bones thick.

All things considered, Earth is pretty nice.

But still, we look to our planetary neighbors for places to visit and maybe even live. And Mars has all the attention nowadays: it’s so hot right now, with everyone practically climbing over each other’s rockets to get there in to build a nice little red home.

But what about Venus? It’s about the same size as the Earth and the same mass. It’s actually a little bit closer than Mars. It’s definitely warmer than Mars. So don’t why don’t we try going for our sister planet instead of the red one?

Oh, that’s right: Venus is basically hell.

Dante’s journey

It’s hard to not exaggerate just how bad Venus is. Seriously, imagine in your head what the worst possible planet might be, and Venus is worse than that.

Let’s start with the atmosphere. If you think that the smog in LA is bad, you should take a whiff of Venus. It’s almost entirely carbon dioxide and chokingly thick with an atmospheric pressure at the surface 90 times that of Earth. That’s the equivalent pressure of a mile beneath our ocean waves. It’s so thick that you almost have to swim through it just to move around. Only 4% of that atmosphere is nitrogen, but that’s more nitrogen total than there is in the Earth’s atmosphere.

And sitting on top of this are clouds made of sulfuric acid. Yikes.

Sulfuric acid clouds are highly reflective, giving Venus its characteristic brilliant shine. The clouds are so reflective, and the rest of the atmosphere so thick, that less than 3% of the sun’s light that reaches Venus actually makes it down to the surface. That means that you will only vaguely be aware of the difference between day and night.

But despite that lack of sunlight, the temperature on Venus is literally hot enough to melt lead, at over 700 degrees Fahrenheit (370 degrees Celsius) on average. In some places, in the deepest valleys, the temperature reaches over 750 degrees Fahrenheit (400 degrees Celsius), which is enough for the ground itself to glow a dull red.

And speaking of day and night — Venus has one of the most peculiar rotations in the solar system. For one, it rotates backward, with the sun rising in the west and setting in the east. Second, it’s incredibly slow, with one year lasting only two days.

Additionally, Venus once had plate tectonics that shut off long ago, and its crust is locked.

Yeah, Venus is hell.

Straight to the inferno

So how did Earth’s sister end up so twisted?

Because Venus is made of pretty much the same stuff as our Earth, and has roughly the same size and mass, scientists are pretty sure that, back in the early days of the solar system, Venus was kind of nice. It probably supported liquid water oceans on the surface and white fluffy clouds dotting a blue sky. Actually, quite lovely.

But four and a half billion years ago, our sun was different. It was smaller and dimmer. As stars like our sun age, they steadily grow brighter. So back then Venus was firmly planted in the habitable zone, the region of the solar system that can support liquid water on the surface of a planet without it being too hot or too cold.

But as the sun aged, that habitable zone steadily moved outward. And as Venus approached the inner edge of that zone, things started to go haywire.

As the temperatures rose on Venus, the oceans began to evaporate, dumping a lot of water vapor into the atmosphere. This water vapor was very good at trapping heat, which further increased the surface temperatures, which caused the oceans to evaporate even more, which caused even more water vapor to get in the atmosphere, which trapped even more heat, and so on and so on as things spiraled out of control.

Eventually, Venus became a runaway greenhouse with all the water dumped into the atmosphere trapping as much heat as possible, with the surface temperatures continuing to skyrocket.

The liquid water that had been on the surface helped keep the tectonic plates nice and flexible, in a sense adding lubrication to the process of plate tectonics. But without the oceans, plate activity ground to a halt, locking the surface of Venus in place. Plate tectonics play a crucial role in regulating the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Essentially, carbon binds to elements in dirt and rocks, and those dirt and rocks eventually get buried far beneath the surface over the course of millions of years as the plates rub up against each other and sink below each other.

But without this process, carbon that was locked in the dirt just slowly outgassed or dumped out in massive volcanic events. So, once the oceans evaporated, the carbon problem on Venus became even worse with nothing to sequester it. Over time, the water vapor in the atmosphere got hit by enough sunlight to break it apart, sending the hydrogen into space, with all that mass being replaced by carbon dioxide rising up out of the surface.

The once and future Earth

And as that atmosphere grew thicker, the conditions on the surface grew even more hellish.

The atmosphere might even have had enough drag to literally slow down the rotation of Venus itself, giving it its present-day sluggish rates.

Once this process was complete, which probably took 100 million years or so, the potential for any life on Venus was snuffed out.

And here’s the worst part about the story of Earth’s twisted sister. This is our fate, too. Our sun isn’t done aging, and as it grows older, it grows brighter, with the habitable zone steadily and inexorably moving outward. At some point within the next few hundred million years, the Earth itself will approach the inner edge of the habitable zone. Our oceans will evaporate. Temperatures will spiral upward. Plate tectonics will shut off. Carbon dioxide will dump into the atmosphere.

And by that time, our solar system will be home to not just one hell but two.

My Views On Racism In The U.S. As An Older White Southern Man

My Views On Racism In The U.S. As An Older White Southern Man

This letter to you this evening is simply my opinions on the subject of racism here in the U.S.. I totally do not expect everyone to agree with anything that I have to say, but if nothing else maybe it will help get a few ‘water cooler’ conversations started. The news today has been filled with race issues stemming from the second of the Democratic Debates. There is a Senator from California, Ms. Harris who seemed to bring up the race issue during that debate via slamming former VP Biden on his record and his words. Now people like Donald Trump Junior have waded in on her hereditary blood line. So those of you who do not know me, I am a long time Independent when it comes to politics. Personally I am not a fan of any of the Trump family nor of Joe Biden or Ms. Harris. Mr. Biden has been catching some flack even from fellow Democrats about his voting record back as far as 1975. Folks, that was 44 years ago, basically every person on earth has changed their views on life itself if they are let’s say, 60 or older. Personally I believe that no one should be allowed to hold any political office though once they have turned 72 but that has nothing to do with race.

I am a person whom I believe is not at all racists and I have always been this way due to a good upbringing via my Mom. Racism is hatred and if anyone hates another person just because of their skin color then they are making a Soul shattering mistake. I was a long haul truck driver for over 30 years I traveled to all of the lower 48 states many hundreds of times, speaking with thousands of people all over the place. I also went all over Canada many times. During my three decades of traveling I came to the realization that in my opinion, here in the States that the most racists group of people are black folks and that is an absolute. But, just like with Hispanic folks what was obvious was that when I, as a white man came up to them to discuss anything was that they expected me to be a racists, and folks, that is very sad. What many non-white folks have ended up doing is becoming that which they hate. I have also noticed that the lower the level of education it seems that the higher the percent of people who have racists views.

I know that there are many people who are white that are just like Donald Trump, racists to the core of their being. What I have come to realize since Mr. Trump became President is that I was wrong about White Racism, there is a lot more of it than I had realized. Racism is a Spiritual disease, a hatred that will get the owner thereof cast into Hell once their life is over. Any person who says that they are a Christian and they are racists doesn’t know anything about the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus Christ.) Personally ever since I first heard of Ms. Harris what I have noticed is that in my opinion she is just like so many of the highly uneducated Black males that I have come across during my years, that she is racists to the core of her being. The reason that I say this about so many Black folks is that when you hear them talking among themselves or when they heavily out number you is that everything seems to be about Color. Because of my feelings about Ms. Harris I will not vote for her just as I would not, will not vote for the Racists Ass that sits in the Oval Office now. Race has got to be a totally ‘non-issue’ in our society or we can never grow as a people. This letter is just my take from my life experiences, from my travels. Personally I do not want anyone in any political office who is a racists no matter what their skin color happens to be. I just hope that we as a country can learn to eliminate this Spiritual disease before we explode as a Nation, a fragmented people are much easier to defeat whether the opponent is of the flesh or of the Spirit. I pray that God will have mercy on all of us because of our stupidity.

(Poem) Playing With Fire

PLAYING WITH FIRE

When we are little we learn that the stove will burn

We begin to understand what we can and cannot touch

Momma gives out the orders and Daddy busts the butt

We learn where were at in this game that is called life

Try to break the rules of nature, only if you are a nut

To school we have to go er we want to do it or not

Life is filled with others rules we have to learn to play

Often when Daddy got a Dollar their kids are total butts

Careful, if Daddy got the money 15 will get you twenty

The Lawman and the Judges their gonna have the last say

We think we have some freedom, until the day you learn you don’t

Daddy will always bust your knickers and Momma feeds you soap

Act out at school and their Board of Education your butt will meet

Work hard for your living just for the rich man to cut your throat

Never play with the fire for it is you that will always feel the heat

Politicians, habitual liars and the greedy, in Hell will roast and burn

(Philosophy Poem) Stay Out Of Hell

(STAY OUT OF HELL)

Our Souls all came from the Light Above

The Fire Below is where we don’t want to be

Here on the Land we act as though we are free

We say what we will and we do what we want

We answer only to ourselves or maybe the Police

We work with our mind and hands ever how we choose

The History of Man is a history of O’ so many mistakes

Forbidden Fruit and listening to the Hissing of a Snake

We live our life as thought it is our own to take or keep

Life was given a Soul, with it, what is it that we have made

The last Plague in Egypt was saturated in the first borns blood

The Passover was never some form of random Angelic mistake

Life and Freedom have always never ever been free to partake

The Cross was drenched in The First Born’s Blood as it had to be

His Blood was required for us to be able to stay out of Hell you see

(Philosophy Poem) Dancing With The Devil

Dancing With The Devil

Born into a world that we know nothing of

From a Spirit up above to the flesh below

We know not, we see and understand not

Life eternal, not here but above and below

Innocent age for awhile this we all are

We see, hear and feel as we learn our place

Birthed from G-d, never separated from above

We learn what is good from that which is not

Children we were, we are and will always be

Not all parents teach us how not to be burned

The Mind and Soul is willing but the flesh is so very weak

We choose our own path with which to live or chose to die

To whose Music do we choose to move our life and our feet

Our Leaders heart and feet are molded in Hell’s  fiery heat

If we dance with the Devil then with Him in Hell we’ll be

(Spiritual Poem) The Calling Up

THE CALLING UP

When the Seed blooms we are called

Eternal Souls assigned to a heartbeat

The Spirit to the flesh from the source

Heartbeat to the grave we live only once

Born to live among Man, Demond’s, Saints

No where for any of us to hide our face

All are either Evil, Good or some vacant

All live the Spiritual life we choose to live

Witches, Ghosts and Demons walk among us

Two deaths are assigned to the ignorant flesh

The Bride will call out to us but who will hear

Rumblings from Hell shakes beneath our feet

Even the dark heart cannot hide from The Light

The Calling Up, so few Saints will still be left alive

Hell gathers the foolish when The Groom takes His Bride

(Philosophy Poem) Living By Faith And G-d’s Grace

(Living By Faith An G-d’s Grace)

On a night so very long ago now it seems

Was the first night that a man saw the Stars

On a Sabbath a man from the dirt was made

A rib plucked from his side a helpmate

Designed to grow old in Paradise, not die

Seven generations a Holy Man was born

His first Son Abraham gave of his spoils

Methuselah a true High Priest of the day

Not the Lord nor was he anyones King

300 more years and Enoch flew away

Elijah the Prophet, here he did not stay

On a Chariot of fire he did fly away

Two Holy Men no bodies to ever be found

Revelation two men at the Wailing Wall

All must die once, a second death burns

Child, live your life like a true Holy man of G-d

Hell is coming on and under the face of the Earth

Pray daily for those you love who have no faith

Separation from G-d is indeed one Hell of a place

Die a second time we will never see the Lord’s Face

(Sarcastic Poem) Being An Ass

BEING AN ASS

Yes, being an Ass

It’s so easy to be

We all have one

Yet some have two

A mirror don’t lie

Stayed out again last night

Home at the rising of light

Wife waiting tears in her eyes

Mad as Hell yet glad your alive

Played kissy kissy made it all right

Two hours till work like Hell I will

Sleep till noon go in four hours late

Just smile at the Boss as his ticker fades

Hell’s not really real so I do as I please

No one matters but ourselves anyway

(Theology Poem) Prophet

Prophet

What is a Prophet, is there really such a thing in these days that we live

Is it something from our past that mankind in our wisdom has out lived

Who is it that would dare say they are such a thing as a speaker of God

Do we believe things the Scriptures have told us for thousands of years

Today if a person says they are a Prophet do they say this hoping for profit

Are we living in Spiritual darkness, are these the last days of mankind

Are we living in a time that our ears cannot hear nor can our eyes see

If one stands up and speaks only God’s truth, would anyone of us listen

If we are living in the last days in darkness of which the Scriptures speak

What shall we do, will we know a chosen vessel of God, or will our hearts be cold

Friends, Prophets will be both men and women that God for Himself has chosen

Will our sarcasm, our ignorance and ego’s lead us to live in Hell’s fiery pit below
