(Poem) Playing With Fire

PLAYING WITH FIRE

When we are little we learn that the stove will burn

We begin to understand what we can and cannot touch

Momma gives out the orders and Daddy busts the butt

We learn where were at in this game that is called life

Try to break the rules of nature, only if you are a nut

To school we have to go er we want to do it or not

Life is filled with others rules we have to learn to play

Often when Daddy got a Dollar their kids are total butts

Careful, if Daddy got the money 15 will get you twenty

The Lawman and the Judges their gonna have the last say

We think we have some freedom, until the day you learn you don’t

Daddy will always bust your knickers and Momma feeds you soap

Act out at school and their Board of Education your butt will meet

Work hard for your living just for the rich man to cut your throat

Never play with the fire for it is you that will always feel the heat

Politicians, habitual liars and the greedy, in Hell will roast and burn

(Philosophy Poem) Are Any Among Us Wise

Are Any Among Us Wise

God’s punishment has not yet come upon those who choose to sin

For it is wicked to practice a bitter hatred of those who are strangers

Only the wicked would refuse to feed the hungry who are at their door

Yet some choose only to ensnare the weak and those who are in need

The wicked have earned the hostility the Lord will lay upon their head

Just as the house of Lot, the wicked see not their self-made plight

The wicked do not understand the inner strength of a righteous man

The greedy seek not the bosom of safety for they chase others charms

Can the wise or the foolish understand the depths of the Earth or the seas

Wise man, tell us how the Lord has hung all the planets upon nothing

Man’s fascination with wickedness perverts the innocent ones body and mind

When we choose to live among wickedness it perverts even the heart and Soul

There’s some who have pleased God whom He has loved He has called up early

Some branches the Lord breaks off early in order to save them from the fires

Blessed are the undefiled barren for God for He will give to them many children

What does it profit a man to have 100 children if they grow only to bring shame

Would it not be better to be barren than to be shamed by children who live foolishly

The rich and the poor, the wise and the foolish, we will all be returned to the sand

Is not the rebuke by a wise man better than to be laughed at or even honored by a fool

The ignorant gives counsel without knowledge yet the foolish accepts their wisdom

Wisdom is like fine gold, a gift from God to be shared with those hungry to understand
