Source: Kasich, Hickenlooper consider unity presidential ticket in 2020

(CNN)Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper have entertained the idea of forming a unity presidential ticket to run for the White House in 2020, a source involved the discussions tells CNN.

Under this scenario, Kasich, a Republican, and Hickenlooper, a Democrat, would run as independents with Kasich at the top of the ticket, said the source, who cautioned it has only been casually talked about.
“The idea of a joint ticket has been discussed, but not at an organizational or planning level,” said the source, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity. “What they are trying to show the country is that honorable people can disagree, but you can still problem solve together. It happens in businesses and it happens in families. Why can’t it happen in Washington?”
News of the discussions was first reported by Axios.
In early August, Hickenlooper didn’t lend much credence to rumblings of a unity ticket, telling Politico: “I don’t think Kasich would ever do that. … I don’t think it’s in the cards. But I do like the idea of working with him in some context at some point.”
Kasich and Hickenlooper are working together on major policy issues such as healthcare and immigration — a rare, bipartisan alliance at a time of deep seeded acrimony between the two political parties.
The next steps for the two governors will be more policy than politically focused.
“Watch on the policy front as they expand beyond healthcare and also include other governors into the coalition,” said the source.
CNN has reached out to both Kasich and Hickenlooper for comment.

Otto Warmbier dies days after release from North Korean detention

Otto Warmbier, the University of Virginia student who was detained in North Korea for nearly a year and a half, died Monday afternoon, his parents announced.

Fred and Cindy Warmbier had no news about their son during his detention after March of last year. He was not allowed consular visits, and it was not until this month that U.S. officials and the family were told that he had been in a coma for more than a year. He was medically evacuated, landed in Cincinnati on Tuesday night and was rushed to the hospital.

On Thursday, doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center said that the 22-year-old Otto Warmbier had extensive loss of brain tissue, and was in a state of unresponsive wakefulness.

That morning Fred Warmbier denounced what he called the “pariah” regime that brutalized his son.

Fred and Cindy Warmbier issued a statement Monday afternoon:

It is our sad duty to report that our son, Otto Warmbier, has completed his journey home.  Surrounded by his loving family, Otto died today at 2:20pm.

It would be easy at a moment like this to focus on all that we lost — future time that won’t be spent with a warm, engaging, brilliant young man whose curiosity and enthusiasm for life knew no bounds. But we choose to focus on the time we were given to be with this remarkable person.  You can tell from the outpouring of emotion from the communities that he touched — Wyoming, Ohio and the University of Virginia to name just two — that the love for Otto went well beyond his immediate family.

We would like to thank the wonderful professionals at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center who did everything they could for Otto. Unfortunately, the awful torturous mistreatment our son received at the hands of the North Koreans ensured that no other outcome was possible beyond the sad one we experienced today.

When Otto returned to Cincinnati late on June 13th he was unable to speak, unable to see and unable to react to verbal commands. He looked very uncomfortable — almost anguished.  Although we would never hear his voice again, within a day the countenance of his face changed — he was at peace.  He was home and we believe he could sense that.

We thank everyone around the world who has kept him and our family in their thoughts and prayers.   We are at peace and at home too.

Fred & Cindy Warmbier and Family

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who worked to try to free Warmbier, said in a statement Monday afternoon, “Otto Warmbier was such a promising young man. He was kind, generous and accomplished. He had all the talent you could ever ask for and a bright future ahead of him. His passing today is a loss for Ohio and for all of us. Jane and I are lifting up the Warmbier family in our prayers at this difficult time, and we are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of this remarkable young Ohioan.”

Gov. John Kasich said in a written statement: “All Ohioans mourn the death of Otto Warmbier, a young man of exceptional spirit. Our prayers go out to his family, who have shown great strength and courage throughout this terrible ordeal. This horrendous situation further underscores the evil, oppressive nature of the North Korean regime that has such disregard for human life.”

Teresa Sullivan, president of U-Va., where Warmbier’s class graduated last month, said by phone Monday afternoon: “It’s just such a waste of a promising young life. That’s very hard — that’s very hard to accept.

“I feel so sorry for his classmates and his fraternity brothers. He had many friends at the university, professors who taught him, I think everyone feels, very deeply, this loss.

“I think we always somewhere, deep down, thought he would come back to us and finish his degree with us.”

Todd Siler, a teacher at Wyoming High School, said that he saw two of Warmbier’s friends from the graduating class of 2013, of which he was salutatorian, earlier Monday. They had been to the hospital to see him, and came to school to see their friend’s name on the graduation walk; all the students have their name etched on a brick there. “Tough, tough moments today,” he said.

“In a short time  he had an impact on so many people of all different walks of life. It takes an incredibly unique person to be able to do that. I think that’s what makes his passing so hard — there aren’t enough people like that in this world. We lost a good one. We lost a great one.

“Otto was strong, such a strong kid,” Siler added. “His spirit touched everybody, and I want to believe that, despite the treatment that he experienced, that he was hanging on to come home. And he did that. He knew he was there and with family. … I think there was a part of him still left that understood that.

“He’s home. So it’s okay to let go.”

Voting For The Devil (Lucifer, i.e. Ted Cruz): No Free Speech Allowed Except Theirs

This week former Ohio Congressman and the Republican Speaker of The House of Representatives John Boehner referred to Texas Senator and Republican Presidential candidate ‘Lying Ted Cruz’ as “Lucifer in the flesh”. Late last year after the Pope visited America and Mr. Boehner whom is a Catholic got a few minutes with the Pope the next day announced that he was going to retire both from the Speaker-ship position and from the Congress. I believe that it was this same day that Mr. Boehner referred to Mr. Cruz as “the biggest asshole in the Congress”. It is in a sense the truth to say that they are from the same political party as Mr. Cruz is listed as a Republican as is Mr. Boehner yet that idea is really a fallacy because Mr. Cruz is really a member of ‘the Tea Party’ which constantly run their own candidates against sitting Republicans in the Republican primaries. I personally am a registered Independent voter who detest both of our country’s major political parties as being only self-serving and crooked to their core’s. During this Presidential election cycle both party’s have shown the world just how rigged both systems are toward any ‘outsider’ who would dare run for President against their party’s ‘establishment’ candidates.

The Republican primary debacle started with 17 people trying for their nomination with the vast majority of them being people who the ‘establishment’ could get behind. Now we are down to three men trying for that nomination. These three men, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Governor John Kasich of Ohio. The Republican Party hates the front-runner Mr. Trump with a passion mainly because he is not part of their ‘establishment’. Ted Cruz is loathed by basically every member of the Congress because quite frankly he is a lying fraud and a complete ‘asshole’ of a human being who dares to call himself a Christian when he is nothing but a hypocrite and the poster boy for Jesus’ term in Revelation of “luke warm water”. He is the type of person that is a disease toward Christianity as he tries to convince people that he is a good Christian example and that could not be further from the truth. The third candidate Mr. Kasich only has a chance to win the Republican nomination is if there is a contested convention this summer where the ‘Party’ refuses to give the nomination to the obvious people’s choice ‘via their vote’, Mr. Trump. The ‘delegates’ are freed up to vote for whomever they wish after the first vote if they reject Mr. Trump. Ted Cruz is under the ignorant belief that he then would win the nomination being he is second in line on that totem-pole. Folks, that will not happen, pretty much everyone at that convention and all of the Republican brass will shun this hate-filled hypocrite. This would mean that either ‘the Party’ will give the nod to Governor Kasich or even drag up old meat like Mitt Romney whom most of the party insiders can’t stand either. Any which way you choose to look at the issue, this ‘convention’ is going to get very nasty this summer.

The last part of this post is going to be about issues involving the Donald Trump campaign. Mr. Trump who has never been a politician has said a lot of things that he would like to do that even if he became our President will never be able to do. This is because the Congress, the Supreme Court, and our Nations Constitution will never allow them to happen. So, I personally am not as worried as some people are about Mr. Trumps rhetoric because it will not come to pass.

This is where I am going to come down hard on the people (mostly democratic leaning folks) who feel they have the right to riot anywhere Mr. Trump is scheduled to speak. These people just like all people in America are supposed to have the right of ‘free speech’. But what they nor anyone else have the right to do is to physically try to shut down Mr. Trumps rallies/speeches. Even if they hate the man and or hate some of his ideas that will never happen like ‘the wall’ along our Nations southern border with Mexico, they do not have the ‘right’ to stop his or anyone else right to speak. The case here is by far mostly applauded by leading Democrats like the poster girl for habitual liars, Hillary Clinton. Our Country’s main stream media is always very bias against anyone who doesn’t tow the mark for the Democrats leaderships wishes. People like Ms. Clinton and these hypocrites and thugs that obviously endorse these actions of ‘uncivil disobedience’ only agree with the term ‘free speech’ when it is they whom are doing the talking.

So, Ted Cruz In Total Desperation Plays “The Woman Card” With Carly Fiorina

So, the Texas hypocrite and habitual liar Ted Cruz has chosen a woman to be his running mate, how pathetic, how desperate. Senator Cruz trying to jolt some life into his campaign has chosen former Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina to be his Vice Presidential running mate. If you remember Ms. Fiorina when she had to drop out of the race a couple of months ago was only poling around 1%. Mr. Cruz out of obvious desperation is trying to take female voters away from Mr. Trump and Mr. Kasich in these few remaining primaries, still hoping to keep Mr. Trump below the 1,237 delegate total so that there can be a contested Convention this summer. He thinks that if Mr. Trump can not win on that first ballot that he can still steal away the Republican nomination. One thing that I don’t hear the talking heads on TV mentioning is that if Mr. Trump does not win on the first ballot that he can win on the second ballot and that having a woman on his ticket will help him. I have a question for you, why do you think Governor Kasich is still in this contest? Governor Kasich is still in this race for that same reason, hoping for a contested convention. Think about the reality of that situation, if no gets the nomination on the first ballot we all know that the delegates will not vote for Mr. Trump yet if that happened, there is no reason that the ‘unbound’ delegates would then turn to Cruz as there best option. Unbound delegates would much more likely vote for Governor Kasich simply because most everyone hates the ground Ted Cruz walks on, they will not give him the nomination. Mr. Cruz is also trying to persuade the RNC that with Ms. Fiorina as his running mate that they are the best choice to confront and beat Hillary Clinton in the election November 1st. Obviously this article is just the opinion of one old man but I do believe that I am correct on these issues, what do you think of this opinion about Mr. Cruz and his weaknesses such as putting a very much not liked Ms. Fiorina on his ‘ticket of hate’?

Do Republicans Need TO Throw Both Trump And Cruz Out Of Their Convention?

I am a registered Independent voter who has no loyalty to any political party, so no, I am not a Democrat railing against the Republicans who are running for their party’s nomination.  To be honest with you I really can’t stand either of the Clinton’s, they have proven themselves to be habitual liars and habitual liars should have their tongues cut out. That would actually be doing folks like the Clinton’s and the Bush’s a huge favor as Jesus made it plain several times that  “all liars will have their place in the lake of fire (Hell)”.

Personally I believe that on the Democratic side of the Presidential Primary situation these so-called “Super Delegates” are illegal (un-Constitutional). The way their rules are set up it is very difficult for anyone but the  party’s ‘ordained’ to ever get the party’s nomination. They put the primary voters votes to nothing (like junk bond status) as it really comes down to those 702 ‘Super-Delegates’ and whom they want to be their nominee. This takes the millions of votes the American people voted and throws them in the garbage, so that they can decide, not the people.

The Republican process does not have the ‘Super-Delegates’ but that doesn’t mean they care about what the American voters have to say either. I personally believe that the best person of the five remaining Presidential candidates for actually doing a good job for the people is Governor Kasich of Ohio. I am not a huge fan of the Governor, I just believe he would do the best job at getting our country moving again than what the other four would do. I do believe that the two worse possible candidates for the American people and the world would be the two biggest liars, Ms. Hillary or lying Ted (the hypocrite) Cruz. I personally believe that the most ‘dangerous’ person of these five to be our President is Mr. Cruz. Just like when he graduated college that same day he is on video stating his ‘Mein Kampf’, that his aim in life is to become President, And to rule the World.

I do not believe that there is any chance that the RNC (Republican National Convention) will ever allow Donald Trump to be their candidate, never. So that would make sure that lying Ted will be their nominee, correct? Not so fast, since the Republican ‘Establishment’ hates the ground Ted Cruz walks on, among the reasons why is that they just like every U.S. Congress member knows that he is an habitual liar who will say or do anything to get his way. And his way is all-ways about himself, he claims to be a Christian to get the Christian vote and I as a Christian can not even stand to see or hear him or his (should-be wife) Ms. Hillary. Sorry about that personal opinion there, but when it comes to the ‘Republican delegates’ votes at their Convention they are not obligated to vote for anyone after that first vote where they say no to Mr. Trump there is no reason at all that they have to vote for Mr. Cruz! So, whom is left after they say no to these two gentlemen? Mr. Trump could have just as easily ran as a Democrat or as the Independent he will be running as in November. Mr. Cruz is not a Republican just as Mr. Sanders is not really a Democrat. Mr. Cruz is the Tea Party’s ‘top mouth piece’, the Tea Party every election cycle runs candidates against sitting Republicans to displace them from office. The Republican Party badly needs to remove all ‘Tea Party’ people from their clan, why should they keep a knife stuck in their back all the time. This will work when Senator Sanders is booted from the Democratic Convention when the DNC (Democratic National Convention) ordains officially Queen Hillary. We The People deserve at least 5 candidates to get to vote for this November 1st. Republican Governor Kasich, Democrats Hillary Clinton, Tea Party Ted Cruz, with at least two Independents, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. America could have a second election 7 days later to vote for the two top vote recipients. This would give ‘We The People’ far more say so as to whom our President will be thus taking that decision out of the hands of career politicians.

America Needs A Minimum Of 5 Presidential Choices This November: For Freedom!

For freedom? Yes, freedom from the monopoly of the Republican and the Democratic racket that they have been putting the American people through hell for decades now. Only the American political establishment, Holly Wood, and the major News Agencies seem to be the only ones who don’t get it that they do not represent the majority of the American people and/or our views. Republican Party, Ted Cruz, get a grip, you say “you will not negotiate with the Democrats”, folks Ted Cruz is the current King of Gridlock in D.C. as a rookie Senator, does he or anyone honestly believe that if he were our President that there would be less gridlock than there is now?

America, the land of the free and the home of the brave and the land where literally around half of adult Americans (18 and over) aren’t even registered to vote. Simple reason it’s because they don’t believe that their vote really counts for anything. Then there is the reality that even in Presidential election years we struggle to get a 50% turnout among the voters that are registered. That means that in the biggest election we have each four years that gets the most turn out, still only equals 25% of the adult population of Our Country coming out and voting in an average President election. Now folks, as you know the previous Presidential election cycles always limited us voters to one of two choices one each from the two big parties except for Mr. Wallace and Mr. Perot of course. These days the people who do turn our and vote have been electing people with no more than a 52/48 ratio, this means that approximately 1/2 of that 25% who voted or about 12 1/2% of the American population has been electing our Leaders, at the most 12.5%.

As I have said here before I believe that the Republican Party will figure out some way, any way, to make sure that Mr.Trump is not their flag barer. You must know as well as I do that if Mr. Trump is fangled out of the Republican Flag he is going to raise his own flag as a third-party Candidate. That leaves Mr. Cruz in the Birds Eye Seat right? That leaves him the as the Republicans nominee doesn’t it? No, not necessarily, you must be aware that the Republican Establishment hates the ground Mr. Cruz walks on, so why not elect Governor Kasich as the Pallbearer for their Party? You know that Mr. Cruz without a doubt would revolt and become the Tea Party’s Candidate? That is now three from the Republican field with one from the Democratic field, Ms. Hillary and or Mr. Sanders correct? Ms. Hillary has been prepping the pipe with messages of Mr. Sanders not really being a Democrat just in case she gets embarrassed and looses by any margin in New York. Thus putting her nomination of the people, by the people, (I am anti-Super- Delegates) in jeopardy. What I am saying is, if Ms. Hillary can not win the election of her Party without the ‘Supper-Delegates’ I totally believe that Mr. Sanders will split if ‘The Party’ ‘elects’ Ms. Hillary. This would be five possible people for us the public to vote for. #1) Ms. Hillary as the Democrats ordained. #2 Governor Kasich as the Republican nominee. #3 Mr. Cruz representing the Tea Party, this in my opinion would be the ‘Conservative wing’ of the main stream Republican Party.#4 Mr. Trump will need some party to hook to so he can be on the November ballot, he could represent the Liberal side of the Republican Party. I said Liberal because he does think outside of the D.C. Box that the two-party leaderships drill into their puppets, liberal in that sense. #5 Mr. Sanders as the Independent Senator from Vermont represents the Liberal side of the Democratic machine. Republicans thought that President Obama was way left liberal, Mr. Sanders if far left of President Obama. Ms. Hillary these days sometimes on some issues talks more like a Republican, just as her hubby does. ( Well, on the days the wind is blowing that way, it will be some other direction in a moment just hold on).

Okay folks, here are my main five I believe we should get to vote on this November 1st. I know there are other parties and good for them, best wishes, I mean that. There are Party’s like Green Peace whom seem to be on the ballots every four years, I am not saying there should only be five, I am saying at least. This you might well say would cause a situation where it would take even far less than 12.5% to win the Presidential election. The ‘safety’ for the American people on a vote like what I am suggesting would require that one Candidate would have to win at least 50.001% of the vote to capture the Nomination. Since this would almost always be the case one person would not get enough of the vote, so then take the top two and run them alone in an up or down election between the two highest vote receivers about seven days later. The American people would be far more involved in elections if they weren’t already slanted so that the people can’t ever win. Republicans, Democrats, Congress, the American people are sick of you and your statuesque.
