(Philosophy/Poem) The DACA Tragedy

The DACA Tragedy

Dream on dream on, you thought you had a life here

The only home you have ever known to be taken away

Cast you into the sands of a land you have never seen

Un-Godly these cold callous acts being put against thee

The Pope is correct when he called out evil by its name

Learn our language work hard stay out of jail to no avail

A Christ filled heart Trump nor Sessions have ever known

With hatred the Statue Of Limitations never does run out

Cold hearted and callous beneath your white bed sheets ye be

Tearing the Nation apart for donations and political points

True path to citizenship for these children is the Godly way

Hypocrites speak not of Christ’s love for the poor and the weak

With rifles stuck in the backs of the children you choose to chase away

Democrats and Republicans neither is a Party any kin to God’s love

Your like the ancestors who sent the ship of Jews back to Hitler to die

Dream on dream on of being citizens in the land of the free and the brave

Businesses exploit your dreams as they treat you like modern-day slaves

Learn to live in the shadows so that INS or ICE does not scurry you away

Raised here is not good enough if you don’t have Trump or Sessions skin

With kindness and compassion we should act like we love Jesus once again

(Poem) Candles

Candles

Sixteen candles, for me, it was a long time ago

Sixteen times three just a footprint in history to me

I have been blessed with well over sixty odd years

Candles of my history I  have had many good friends

Weather it be blessed or cursed, I’ve had many a good time

But the weight of my  pains could drown a grown man

Can we see clearly through the candles of our live’s

Does depression keep our vision always looking behind

We don’t know if there are any candles still ahead for us

Look ahead with your heart and your head and in the Lord trust

We can’t go back though the candles to change things we’ve done

Knowing if we could it would change many lives we have touched

Candles of time are like bridges we have blown out

Try not to carry the baggage of things we can not change anyway

For we will drown in the mire and the muck from such heavy chains

Try to always look inward and up to the Lord’s light from above

For all the candles you see are for you, they were given in love

Try to realize that each candle is a present from our Maker’s hand

Please don’t be depressed for the things you can never change

From the womb each candle was given to you by God’s grace and love
