(Humor Poem) Queen Piggy

QUEEN PIGGY

Queen Piggy we inherited her when cancer

Took her mommy from this earthly world

She was a mere six months old

When she came prancing and dancing

Into our family’s little fold

She was so cute you just had to hold and love her

For wherever she was, she always stole the show

Everyone who ever cast their eyes upon her

Would soon lose their heart to this hairy little girl

For 18 wonderful years she ruled our little home

To her, every hand she met was a new friend

For everyone always wanted to pet and hold her

So cute partly because of her snarly little grin

You see, Queen Piggy was a Pekingese puppy

With smashed snout, hairy toes and toothy smile

Everyone that she met was now her newest best friend

We loved this little girl as to our home, light she did bring

But now it’s the Angels turn to smile with Queen Piggy

Flying around Heaven tucked up underneath their wings

Here on earth we will always miss her and her sweet love

All the smiles she brought we will always miss her

But who am I or we to complain of missing her love

For last night in my dreams the scene I did see her

I saw Piggy fast asleep being petted by our Savior

There in Heaven upon the Good Lord’s knee

(Humor/Poem) A Cat Named Puppy

A CAT NAMED PUPPY

This is the story of our family’s furry little friend

A little fur ball from the pound she purred her way in

A little tabby as sweet and loving as she could possibly be

Yet a little deranged as in this story you shall soon see

We had no intention of getting this plain little girl

But with her unending rubbing and purring

We brought her and a rotund sister into our world

Her name was Starlight but to this she had not a clue

One day my wife’s dad stopped in with his puppy named Bandit

This furry little boy Shih Tzu who set the Kitty’s heart all a glow

It is good that they were both already surgically fixed

The cartoon called Cat Dog now did not seem so far fetched

The day came when Bandit went back to his home in KY

Starlight was heart broken and somewhere she did hide

While sitting on the couch my wife thought of a plan

She panted like Bandit and to her the cat ran

This is not all of her strangeness you see

Wherever my wife goes the cat follow’s her feet

Her name is no longer Starlight for that she still does not know

But just say the name Puppy and in your lap she will be

(Poem) Independents: Dead Dog’s In The Middle

Dead Dogs In The Middle

Independents, just who do you think you are

How dare you not conform to the Red or the Blue

Do you honestly think you are a prize to be coveted

You are just like all the rest of the deceived fools

General Powell, a man of Honor spoke it so well

Houston’s Blue Convention in the Lone Star State

Americas “Sensible Center” has no representation

Daggers to the Left and the Right, follow or fall

They care not how much of your blood they spill

Their only concern is to take all your money and will

Hate Mongers, God has no part in them, or they in Him

They care not of who they starve or jail, as long as they win

Independents, in the Spring it is you that they totally ignore

Yet in the Fall you are the Red Meat they seek to deceive and devour

Remain in the Middle, then at their table you will never get to eat

Voters are just the Dead Dog’s In The Middle with never a seat
