Jerry Falwell Jr: Say’s One Thing Smart Then One Thing Stupid?

Jerry Falwell Jr: Say’s One Thing Smart Then One Thing Stupid?

(This article is from December 7th of 2015)

I always insist that I be honest with everyone when I put my thoughts into print as I do not wish to mislead anyone. I am a person whom though a Christian at heart I was never a fan of Mr. Jerry Falwell Sr because of several of his business actions in his local area. I don’t believe that the preacher should ever be ‘the show’ and before two days ago, I didn’t even know that Mr. Falwell Sr had any Juniors. Now, Junior being Seniors son, he didn’t surprise me about the gun situation part of his recent speech but it did disappoint as a Christian that mind-set of ‘getting them Muslims’. Junior needs to remember that God Himself said that He hates the sin but He loves the sinner. The sinner, that is me and it is you Junior as well as those who are not believers of and in Jesus as The Christ. Yes this does include all people of the world, including ‘them Muslims’, but it includes all Christians who have a hate filled heart toward anyone as well. This is why we as Christians are supposed to go out into our world and try to convert everyone to the love of Christ Jesus. All ‘them Muslims’ have Souls just like all ‘them Jews’, they are all potential brothers and sisters in Christ, we can not love and accept them if we only hate them. Islam teaches that the Christian God is not God, that we don’t worship the true God yet when the same statement is reversed with Christianity saying that Allah is not a God, the American media gets their panties in a wad.

Mr. Falwell Jr did say some intelligent things about gun control and licensing for concealed weapons. On this I once again have a torque with the to far to the right media here in America on gun issues. NBC News was quite negative about Mr. Falwell Jr’s idea to offer free concealed weapons permit classes there at Liberty College in Virginia. How often do you hear of a terrorist walking into a police department and start shooting at people? How often do you hear of a piece of garbage walking into a school or a business and start shooting at all the unarmed people? If I was a person who wanted to come into someones home to rob and or kill them I would much prefer you be unarmed because by the time the police can get there, you’re already dead and I am gone. President Obama and those folks who think like him on gun control would put every community in America at the greatest possible risk to local and foreign-born Jihadist. If you are in the need to rob a store for its cash how comfortable would you be walking into a store where any customers in it might also be armed? Knowing that when you pull your gun to rob folks that one or all of them might pull out their own gun and shoot you down like a rabid dog, how likely are you to be a long-term thief? I am a believer in people being able to be allowed to defend themselves if they are attacked, not to be the attacker, but self-defense yes. Make no mistake about it, there are huge differences in what Christian Scriptures teach which is to try to love and to convert were in Islam they are taught to kill everyone who will not bow down and kiss Allah’s feet at least five times a day. One is love, one is hate, they have very little in common and it is that core issue, one is based on love and the other is based on hate and submission. So, in my honest opinion Mr. Falwell Jr got one correct, one failure. Mr. Falwell, that is a grade of 50%, that is a failing grade for a Christian Administrator Sir.

Congress Will Vote On Concealed Carry Reciprocity Bill

House will vote on concealed carry reciprocity bill

Pres. Trump’s complex relationship with guns

Washington (CNN)The House will vote Wednesday on a bill that would let gun owners with permits to carry concealed weapons travel to other states with their concealed firearms.

The bill is a top priority of the National Rifle Association, and since leaving committee it has been combined with an additional measure that is designed to update the federal background check system after holes were exposed by November’s mass shooting at a church in Texas.
The move to merge the two pieces of legislation makes it a difficult vote for Democrats.
Second Amendment advocates maintain that gun owners should not lose their right to bear arms as they travel across state lines, and current laws that vary in different states could mean that licensed owners might unintentionally violate the law. Under the proposed law, gun owners would be required to abide by the local and state regulations in place for concealed weapons.
The part of the legislation that aims to update background checks through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, held bipartisan support when it was being considered by the House Judiciary Committee, after more than 20 people were killed at the church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

The gunman in that shooting was a former member of the Air Force, and had been imprisoned for domestic abuse. This information hadn’t been relayed by the Air Force to the NICS, which should have prevented him from buying the guns he used in the crime.

‘I Just Closed My Eyes.’ 25 People Shot in Little Rock Nightclub

‘I Just Closed My Eyes.’ 25 People Shot in Nightclub

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Clubgoers screamed and scrambled for cover as dozens of gunshots rang out during a rap concert in downtown Little Rock early Saturday, leaving 25 people shot and three others injured from an 11-second melee that police quickly said was not related to terrorism.

All of the victims were expected to survive the shooting at the Power Ultra Lounge, about a mile (1.6 kilometers) from the state Capitol building. Police believe the gunfire erupted amid a dispute among clubgoers and that multiple people fired shots. Twenty-five people suffered gunshot wounds, and three others had unrelated injuries.

“I just closed my eyes, got down on the ground and put my hands on my head,” Courtney Swanigan, 23, told The Associated Press.

The shooting capped a violent week in Arkansas’ largest city. Police had responded to a dozen drive-by shootings over the previous nine days but haven’t said whether any of the incidents are related.

“Little Rock’s crime problem appears to be intensifying,” Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson said in a statement. “Every few days it seems a high-profile shooting dominates the news, culminating with this morning’s event. I have spoken this morning with Mayor (Mark) Stodola and I have offered both my heart felt concern over this senseless violent tragedy and state assets as needed to address the continued threat of violence in our community.”

Facebook video posted from inside the club included audio of at least 24 rounds fired in about 11 seconds. Darryl Rankin, who posted the video, said a friend of his who attended the Finese 2Tymes concert with him had a bullet “stuck in his spine.”

Police were summoned about 2:30 a.m. City police said quickly that the agency did not believe the shooting was part of a terrorist attack and that no active shooter remained at the scene.

“Some sort of dispute broke out between people inside,” Police Chief Kenton Buckner told reporters.

Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola said more information would be released at a news conference Saturday afternoon.

The club’s Facebook page promoted Friday night’s show with a poster depicting a man pointing what appears to be a gun at the camera. Calls to a number listed for Finese 2Tymes’ booking agent wasn’t returned Saturday, but a message was posted on the artist’s Facebook page offering thoughts and prayers for those injured: “THE VIOLENCE IS NOT FOR THE CLUB PEOPLE. WE ALL COME WITH 1 MOTIVE AT THE END OF THE DAY, AND THATS TO HAVE FUN.”

Police cordoned off the area as technicians collected evidence from the scene, which near a Roman Catholic cathedral and a First United Methodist Church center. A number of worshippers gathered for a funeral at St. Andrew’s while police still worked the scene.

Glass from the Power Ultra Lounge’s second story windows littered the ground, along with empty drink cups. In the parking lot, a silver Toyota had what appeared to be a streak of blood on the front passenger-side door.

“I’m sick of all the killing and I’m tired of all the shooting. The kids getting hurt,” said Raida Bunche, who was waiting outside the club after hearing from a friend that her son had been inside. She found out later that he had run from the club when the shooting started and was not hurt.

Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control officials suspended the club’s alcohol license and set a hearing for July 10 on three potential charges: disorderly conduct, allowing possession of weapons on the premises and “failure to be a good neighbor.”

The club’s license has been suspended 11 times for failing to pay taxes, and it has been cited seven times for 14 various violations including unknowingly furnishing alcohol to minors and allowing alcohol to leave the premises since 2012, ABC Director of Enforcement Boyce Hamlet said.

In May, one person was killed and six people were hurt in a mass shooting at a downtown concert in Jonesboro, Arkansas, about 115 miles (185 kilometers) northeast of Little Rock. In that case, two men were charged with first-degree murder and six counts of first-degree battery.

Arkansas lawmakers earlier this year approved a measure expanding where concealed handguns can be carried, including bars if allowed by owners, for licensees who undergo additional training. The law takes effect in September, but the training likely won’t be available until early next year.
