WE CHOSE THIS
Was the last thing we had no choice about: the womb
Did we have a choice to come out, or to stay in and die
True: Our skin color and our parents these were just a fluke
The Country we were born in doesn’t mean we have to die there
Now, please bend me your ear and lend me a piece of your time
Many say where we live or die, we have no choice, for most, not so
The civilized world lets us walk or run away once 18 years in time
We choose to keep our nose clean or to smoke those little pipes
In the West Education is forced, many places people would kill for
We choose to work for a ride or we can steal it from a parking lot
We choose the kind of career we have by the lessons we chose to learn
If we are unhappy where we are at in live: set in motion a plan to leave
If you are the one who said I do, to a total fraud the answer is D-I-V-O-R-C-E
We choose to be a Hillbilly, Cowboy, a Yankee, or a dude, it is all up to us
Whether we choose to be kind or not: Heaven or Hell, it’s up to us, we choose
