Black Lives matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter

Black Lives matter, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter

(I FIRST RAN THIS ARTICLE IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 BUT I DECIDED TO RUN IT AGAIN AFTER A YOUNG UNARMED MAN WAS SHOT 20 IN HIS BACK YARD IN SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA BY A COUPLE OF POLICE OFFICERS A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AGO)

A few days ago I saw a picture somewhere here in the States during some kind of a rally where it showed uniformed police officers and some were holding up a sign that said “Blue Lives Matter”, I hadn’t seen that before but obviously it stuck in my memory. After the police officer shot that young black man in Ferguson Missouri earlier this year and the riots that followed a group of people started up the campaign of Black Lives Matter and yes, they absolutely do matter, but so does everyone else including the lives of every single man and woman who carry a badge.

Personally I believe that we are looking at two main issues when it comes to police violence against anyone anywhere at any time. First I do believe as a Christian that no person has any right to use deadly force against anyone unless they or their family are being attacked. When this happens though I do believe that everyone has the right and the duty to protect themselves and their loved ones. You see if there is no “attack” then there is no “attack” to protect from. A lot of Americas problems with our youth is that they do tend to have lousy parenting skills, or simply have no care about raising their kids to be God-loving and God-fearing human beings. When our young people develop a culture where they are proud of being loud mouthed punks where they have no respect for anyone or anything and their life goals is to act as big and bad as possible, then our young folks end up butting heads with the police departments. When we have a culture where acting like or being “gangster” is a life goal then these young folks are sometimes going to cross paths with some punks who are wearing blue. Being a cop is a difficult job and it usually takes a person who is rather “macho” “alpha males or ladies” to be able to do that job. But law enforcement world-wide is morally obligated to make sure that all Officers are mature, reasonable, honest adults and many departments have failed horribly at this job requirement.

Two things that I would like to see done in my lifetime is for our youth to find the love of Jesus and follow His examples of love instead of following the gangster hoodlum stupidity. If people would simply obey an Officers requests/orders and follow the Officers orders immediately and do it politely then how many lives would still be being lived? Now about Police Officers, their people, their responsibilities and their maturity issues. I am almost 60 years old now and I have lived in many states north and south. I have known many Police Officers from different backgrounds and I totally believe that many Officers and in some cases their whole departments are very much immature punks, thugs, and loud mouths. These type issues plus the fact that most Officers any more act as though they are scared to death of everyone they encounter. Some of this fear is valid as there are people in society who will shoot a cop for fun, and the cops know this danger. If you notice, anymore whenever a cop encounters people they almost always have the side arm unlatched and they have one hand on the trigger. In some cases this fear/cautiousness has caused innocent people to be murdered by a cop yet this same fear/caution has saved many Officers lives because the person they have stopped are sometimes looking for a chance to kill the Officer.

Every life on Earth matters, black, blue, white, brown, red, yellow, or pink with purple poke a dots. Every human life matters. So my conclusion on this issue today is a two-fold request. One, our society here in America is sick, certain cultures especially in the black communities have got to correct themselves. This must be done through better parenting skills with more Dads acting like dads. I personally did a horrible job at raising my two blood children but I was fortunate in that they were raised by a good family and they both turned out to be college grads who have never been in jail and who are now great parents themselves. Most people aren’t so lucky and it seems that our society excepts and applauds people who act like total morons. If families all still prayed at the supper table each evening and took even a half of an hour for Bible study and prayer and have the parents acting like loving parents, it is my belief that there would be many more young people still alive and out of prison than what we see today. Also, I believe that there would be more Police Officers alive today if as a profession they would vigorously fire the mean, hate filled, aggressive Officers who are ruining their profession. This does not hardly ever happen because to many departments are now headed by the same human garbage as the Officers they protect. Just because a person has been a Cop for 20 years does not mean that they are a quality person or Officer, just as a person who is a teacher who has 20 years experience does not mean that they are worth a damn as a teacher. A person can do a job for a whole life time but that does not mean that they were ever doing their job the way they swore an oath to do it.

America, we as a Nation have a lot of problems and we all are going to have many more new survival issues in our countries future, that is if we don’t implode as a Nation first. We as a Nation must come together as one people who are dedicated to Christian ideology or we will come apart at the seams. I guess maturity and decency by all people toward all people is beyond our reach as “a people”, I wish that wasn’t so but as the old saying goes “the proof is in the pudding.” If we fight among ourselves because of race and hatred then we as a Nation will be defeated by the Islamic hate groups that want all of us to die as quickly as possible. Folks, we don’t have a chance until we grow up and act like God-loving people toward each other, no matter what color, no matter what job.

Passerby shoots, kills suspect fighting deputy

Authorities are thanking a passerby who shot and killed a motorist fighting a deputy along a Florida interstate on Nov. 14. (Reuters)

When the man saw a patrol car parked on the exit ramp of a Florida interstate, he witnessed a scene too troubling to ignore: a sheriff deputy being slammed to the ground and beaten by a man in plain clothes.

The passerby, whom the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is now calling a “Good Samaritan,” rushed to the two men, telling the attacker he would shoot him if he refused to stop beating the deputy.

The attacker, later identified as 53-year-old Edward Strother, continued to pin down the deputy and attack him, and the deputy struggled to keep his weapon away from him. When the attacker failed to comply to his warning, the passerby shot him three times, killing him, the News-Press reported.

The deputy, a 12-year veteran named Dean Bardes, was treated for his injuries and later released from the hospital.

Mike Scott, the Lee County sheriff, commended and thanked the man “who engaged the crazed assailant and stopped the imminent threat of great bodily harm or death to our deputy,” NBC-2 reported. He did not identify the man, however.

But the attacker’s brother later criticized the sheriff’s positive response to his brother’s death and questioned the details of the fight.

“They are calling him a Good Samaritan?” Strother’s brother, Louis Strother, said to the News-Press. “Was my brother armed?”

The scene had begun to unravel at about 9:30 a.m. Monday, when a driver began to recklessly swerve and drive along the left shoulder at what seemed to be at least 100 miles per hour, a witness told the News-Press. Bardes was responding to an unrelated crash involving the Florida Highway Patrol when Strother almost struck him with his car.

Sensing the near-crash was intentional, Bardes chased the vehicle southbound, until the driver stopped and exited his car at an off-ramp, approaching Bardes’s patrol car. The fight that ensued was one in a string of “egregious acts of aggression toward law enforcement officers across this country,” Scott, the sheriff, said.

Kimberly Jenkinson, a Florida woman driving by at the time, told WINK News she saw the man violently throw the officer to the ground.

“He just started punching him and hitting and hitting and hitting,” she said. “I was afraid for the police officer. I thought he was going to kill him.”

Later, she posted a status on Facebook that read, “I just watched a police officer get taken down. What is this world coming to?”

An emergency crew performed CPR on Strother at the scene in an attempt to revive him. Strother has a previous, active misdemeanor arrest warrant for failure to appear on a battery charge in Florida, according to NBC-2.

The “Good Samaritan” had a concealed-weapons permit that allowed him to carry his gun, NBC-2 reported.

Bardes, 47, of New Jersey, served in the U.S. Air Force for three months, before being discharged for knee pain, the News-Press reported. He worked as a corrections officer for two years before becoming a patrol officer.

The deputy’s file included notes from supervisors who wrote early on in his career that he acted cautiously and was always respectful of the public, the News-Press reported.

Bardes, “is able to deescalate situations and resolve these incidents in a fair and partial manner,” the personnel file states.
