(The Egotist Poem) I will Respect You, If

I will Respect You, If

With no pre-nuptial you agree to say ‘I do’

If you graduated an Ivy League School like me

If your grades were ‘almost’ as good as mine

Your Dowry is gleaming with lots of gold

Your Grandparents writes me into their Will

I will respect you as long as you are my Boss

As long as you have some say-so in my career

So long as you can prove more wealth than I

As long as I have need of your connections

So long as I never have to bend a knee to thee

Yet, how could you expect me to respect you , if

You don’t agree with every thought I ever think

I will not respect a political floozy or wanna be wealth

Don’t you realize yet that I only respect those whom

While on both knees, kiss my Ring, and then my Arse!

But, never expect me to give you respect, behind your back
