(Poem) Proverbs Of A Fool
Fools are given wise advise then they misuse it
A fools wisdom originates within their own heart
The fool is blasphemous and has spiritual blindness
A contentious hypocrite shows their own foolishness
Only a fool perverts the ways of G-d for their own gain
A fool in his wrath uncovers his own ignorance quickly
The lying tongue is only wise within their own mouth
The deceit of a fool only leads them to the gate of Hell
The wise speak softly yet fools speak loudly many words
Wickedness in the mouth of a leader shows many a fool
He that flaps his lips chokes on their own ego and stupidity
The fool makes himself rich yet in truth all that he has is debt
Meddling, mocking and raging is the pathway only a fool walks
A fool is self-righteous, slandering, ignorant and filled with words
Those that follows such a man, shows themselves to be the fool
Nicely done! I like this concept of poetically restating Scripture, in a way that brings out the color and flavor of its original meaning. This poem reminds me of one a I wrote almost a year ago, centered on Proverbs 18:14. Perhaps you’d enjoy it. https://museaccordingly.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/the-proverbial-pit/

So very true, Ted! We have a similar saying, “Anger leads to foolishness that leads to sin.”
