Once I had a firm belief in an idea that a man who is not obedient or caring for his mother can never treat any other woman with respect or care. In course of time, I saw many real-life manifestations that validated my belief further. Once during a discussion with my uncle who happened to be both my friend and mentor this idea came up. He argued, ” What if the person in question realized his mistake and repented?” It was an eye awakening for me as even though I had firm belief in the human capacity to repent and make amends of their wrongdoing in one way or other; I never gave any liberty in this instance.

It’s then I realized that we humans are slaves of our perceptions, notions and preconceived ideas and it’s in our nature to judge. We judge people on the basis of their past…
