We struggle to sit in silence because we have existed so long in the chaos of doing that doing has become the fulfillment of our existence. We see stillness as a waste of the life we have been given rather than seeing it as the opportunity to connect with the truth to who we are and why we exist. We have become spiritual beings who now pursue self enlightenment through doing through chasing achievements that somehow are meant to define us in totality. Degrees, diplomas and successful jobs, cars and possessions to further justify why we are worthy of this existence. We have forgotten the teachings of the rose that began as a seed, sprouted and grew roots and through winters, summers and springs through beautiful rays of sun and blistering winds of winter it blossoms into this beautiful rose.
