Andaman Island, an archipelago in the Bay of Bengal comprises of more than 500 islands, most of which are still inaccessible is the ‘Hidden Paradise’ on Earth.  November to mid May is considered to be the best time to visit Andaman. Avoid travelling during the monsoon as the weather can sometimes be quite bad with heavy rains, strong winds and high tide. We visited Andaman in late December, a five night -six day trip.

Day One : Port Blair 

Port Blair, the capital city is connected to the two major Indian cities: Kolkata and Chennai  by flight.  We had our flight from Kolkata by Vistara Airlines. After about  about 2.5 hours of flight we finally landed on the Veer Savarkar Airport, Port Blair and were greeted by the warm sunshine and cool breeze of the island.
