(Philosophy/Poem) Saying Goodbye, Again

Saying Goodbye, Again

(This is dedicated to a man I look up to, my Father-In-Law, Glenn Wright)

How many times do we say goodbye, to the same one

We lose them in dreams at night even before their gone

The pain of reality like sharp darts to the Core of the Heart

Laying down, one you love, tears the Soul into many pieces

Yet I know that they knew, they were so dearly loved by  I

Does one truly die if loved ones cherish the thought of them

We may all say goodbye once, location of the second, is the trip

    1. If the Hospice folks are correct Dad doesn’t have more than a few days. At this stage all one can really do is to pray for a quick and pain free ending as possible. He is and was, a good man. Dolly, thank you for the read and the comment.
