Male Rape: Men need support too


All the posts on this page so far have aimed to make people realise the realities of male rape and how common it really is. What makes this problem worse? The lack of resources and support systems for male victims of sexual violence and rape.

If you think about it, so many helplines, resources, counselling and support systems for the issue of sexual violence and rape are targeted towards women. We always see pictures of females on websites and ads for these support systems and we hear “stand up for violence against women”, but what about males? YES, women do represent the majority of who are victims to this crime, but that doesn’t mean men represent a minority, as previous posts would have illustrated.
