Eric Trump: Democrats Who Oppose His Father are Quote “Not Even People”

Washington (CNN) Eric Trump said Democrats who support the probe into his father’s campaign and Russia are “not even people” and he has “never seen hatred like this.”

He also shared harsh criticism of the Democratic Party as a whole.
“They’re imploding,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Tuesday night, adding: “They have no message. You see the head of the (Democratic National Committee), who is a total whack job.”
Trump’s “not even people” remark quickly evoked comparisons on social media to Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” comment made about President Trump’s supporters during the 2016 campaign.
Trump — one of President Donald Trump’s five children — also said Democrats are obstructing the current administration.
“They lost the election that they should have won because they spent seven times the amount of money that my father spent. They have no message so what do they try and do? They try and obstruct a great man, they try and obstruct his family, they come after us viciously, and its truly, truly horrible,” Trump said.
Trump is currently helping run the family business with his brother, Donald Trump Jr., while their father serves as president.
Here’s the full Eric Trump quote in context:
I’ve never seen hatred like this, and to me they’re not even people. It’s so, so sad, I mean morality is just gone, morals have flown out the window we deserve so much better than this as a country. You know it’s so sad. You see the democratic party — they’re imploding. They’re imploding. They have no message. You see the head of the DNC who is a total whack job. There’s no leadership there. And so what do they do? They become obstructionists because they have no message of their own. They have no solid candidates of their own. They lost the election that they should have won because they spent 7 times the amount of money that my father spent. They have no message so what do they try and do? They try and obstruct a great man, they try and obstruct his family, they come after us viciously, and its truly, truly horrible.

  1. NO supporter of the Republican Party has a leg to stand on when they sling the term “obstructionist” at the Democrats. How quickly they forget – or hope to encourage us to do so.

    1. I agree with you Ms. Madelyn, I believe that the majority of the American people want these two political parties to meet in the middle on most issues and to quit always “playing” political games as they watch the Country falling apart from the inside. In both parties the tail is wagging the dog. With the Democrats politicians who are extreme left (liberals) have all the positions of power within their party, with the GOP politicians it is the same thing at the other end of the spectrum. It is like in a police force you are always going to have some really bad cops, it they remain on the force long enough these ‘bad cops’ will end up running the department. Then you have a case where if you aren’t a bad cop, the ‘leaders’ will run you out of the department one way or another. American politics are now that same way. Most Americans do not want far left or far right, but it really doesn’t matter what the people want. This is why I am personally for term limits, so the trash can’t embed themselves into all of the leadership positions.

      1. Great analogy! NOW – how do we get rid of the “bad cops?”

        I’m of two minds on term limits:
        ~~~~~~~~~
        On the one hand I agree with my Dad when he said, “It takes one term to learn how to steal relatively undetected, and another to hone the practice. Let’s boot them out before they get really good at it.”
        On the other — do we really want a government staffed with continual newbies? There are many other things that take more than a term to learn, and “young Turks” generally want to turn things upside down before they really understand the consequences. Older, cooler, more experienced heads could be important to provide balance and to explain the thinking *behind* the policies to the babies.
        CLEARLY, electing a president with zero political experience was (and is) an utterly stupid idea. I’d love to see the Electoral College eliminated – way too much Party favoritism (and district gerrymandering) involved to give it the power to overturn the popular vote.
        I have NO real answers, but I agree that *most* Americans would prefer a more moderate approach from BOTH parties, and a middle line held by both as well – with a more equitable taxation system based on total dollars vs. %. It’s not how what % you pay, it’s how many dollars you have left to live on. AND a removal of the loopholes that allow Corporations to pay appreciably fewer taxes than even lower middle-class Americans is long overdue – along with taxation of foreign profits, even if they *never* bring them back to America. Why would they, otherwise? And how does that help the economy or the availability of jobs for Americans?
        Wonder if we’ll live to see it? Wonder if anyone in America will live to see it?
