Losing a loved one

The scent of rose pulls me towards it. Leaning closer, I inhale a whiff of it that on cue brings a smile on my face. I look around and find similar roses lined in a row adorning the beauty of this garden.

I am glad I said a yes to this adventure when Misha had offered this chance to me. Even through the whining and protesting, I had felt my resolution of not going out slipping away; thanks to her skills of moulding people’s decision.

Confessing anyway, the pictures she showed capturing the serenity and its description did the work. I knew I needed such a place to restore my calm. The calm that I had recently lost.
Even thinking of it tires my mind and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to leave my past. (sighs) No, I know I’ll never be able to forget it.
