(Humor/Poem) Where’s The Rope

Where’s the Rope

A good piece of string

Will hold most anything

When you’re still on my knees

Crawling on the floor and peeing

When you get a little older and a good bit bolder

Grade school, where now you spend your time

Now you learn that Half a hand full of dimes

Will buy you some very strong quality twine

Now that I’m a teen I allow no one to tell me anything

My parents let me play with whatever I please any time

I’m now bigger, stronger, bolder, smarter and mean

I can tame a bucking Stallion or a Bull with one hand

Yank that bit as tight as I please no one challenges me

Rope tightly in my left hand, hell yea, I’m the man

Next goal I will be the Champion Rider of the Brahmas

Talent like mine, you know I gotta spread my fame

Top of my game, gotta go for the Buckle and the green

With my butt in a saddle and a rope tight in my hand

Hell yea, don’t ya know I’m the man of the Rodeo Circuit

All the Cowgirls Love me cause on their chain I can jerk it

Now on this stool I stand not as a King but as a man

Behind my back a rope now ties up both my hands

One end my neck is looped the other around a rafter

No matter how big a star you my think that you are

You still gotta play by the Bookies rules of the game

Or they will hang you and your hat from the rafters
